Newport Beach Sailing Charters

We had a great time on our 4-​hour charter with Captain Roger! We were able to see several pods of dolphin as well as get up close to see a whale migrating south! Captain Roger was friendly, knowledgeable and helped us have a wonderful first sailing experience on the Pacific!

Had a great time. We did the 3 hr sunset cruise. Captain Rick was fantastic and the boat was beautiful, we choose the Hunter 40. A perfect evening!

Rented the sail boat with captain josh for a wedding proposal. Highly recommend, staff and captain were top notch boat was great as well. You will not be disappointed.

This was my 6^th sail with Newport Beach Charters — they are amazing. I’ve had 4 different captains while sailing and while each is different, they are all kind, funny, but most importantly knowledgeable about sailing and our environment. This trip we had a non-​swimmer on board, but after a few minutes with Captain Mike, all of her fears vanished.

I’ve never given a 5-​star rating on Unilocal before, but this group deserves it. From the moment I emailed them; to the accuracy and timeliness of all information — to most importantly the Sail itself, everything was A++.
We met with Captain David, who is one of the most knowledgeable and affable guys I’ve come across. Since he’s also a Sailing instructor, he explained what was going on throughout our time with him. He was the perfect mix of conversation; instructor, tour guide, while also allowing us to talk to ourselves, or simply enjoy the wind and scenery. We were with Captain David for 3 hours and his ability to sense everything we needed from start to finish was uncanny.
The boat, too, was beautiful. The cabins were immaculate and every piece of bar ware, dinner ware, along with cushions and decks were as if brand new.
We’ve already looked at the calendar to book our next voyage with this group. You’ll know from the moment you contact this Team that you’re in smart, capable and professional hands. I went out Saturday with 4 friends on a beautiful 2012 sailboat with Chris (the owner) as our captain and we had an AMAZING TIME!!! First of all, Chris has a great sense of humor and was truly a pleasure to hang out with for 4 hours. He will let you contribute to your sailing experience as much as you’d like. My group chose to drink lots of wine rather than pitch in which was fine too. Basically this is a good choice if you’re looking to sail or if you’re looking to party.
Secondly, our little sailing adventure was absolutely stunning and extremely relaxing and fun. We went all around the coast and sailed with an enormous pod of dolphins for at least 30 minutes, which was pretty incredible. This was definitely one of the nicest sailboats that I’ve ever been on, and I would highly recommend using Newport Beach Sailing Charters for Newport locals and tourists alike. We all had a great time and he dropped us off at a restaurant (instead of the harbor) which was pretty cool and good for my appetite. Hopefully next time we will do the Catalina overnight trip, because that is one fancy lookin’ place to have a sleepover. Also, swimming off the boat is definitely allowed!
