Best pizza for your money in Newport Beach! The pizza is not the best in Newport by any means but for the price it can’t be beat!

VEGANPIZZA! Fair price, cute area but odd place. Only good for take out or delivery. But enjoyable and satisfying.

After a long boat ride from Catalina Island, we arrived back in Newport Beach starving and craving for something simple. What popped into our heads immediately was pizza. Driving towards the 55, we saw Laventina’s Big Cheese Pizza and decided to place an order. We ordered online and received an immediate confirmation that our ordered was processed and would be ready in 15 minutes. My husband went in to pick up the pizza and they were right on track. Online ordering/paying and pick up were a breeze. When we opened up the boxes to eat in the car while the pizzas were nice and fresh, we discovered the pizzas were piping hot– just the way we liked them. The price was very reasonable. A little over $ 10 for a large cheese and a bit over $ 11 for a large 1-topping. So why only 3 stars if the pizza was easy to order, ready to be picked up on time, and was inexpensive? Well, there are so many pizza places to choose from not only Orange County but in pretty much everywhere. With there being a lot of choices, there have been plenty of opportunities for our family to have tried many different crusts, cooking styles, toppings, etc. Of course then, everyone has their favorites to compare each new pizza they come across to. Unfortunately, Laventina’s did not match up to ours nor did it come close. We enjoyed the cheese and the mushroom toppings, but the red sauce and bland crust were not to our liking. Perhaps we came during a bad time.

Pizza itself is good, and they did refund part of the bill when all was said and done, however, not bringing the salad we ordered, waiting another hour for them to bring it, and then the guy just hands it to us(no apologies whatsoever), was not great. =-/

Very good pizza, the cheese blend used is excellent, and is the highlight of this pizza. The crust was softer than I normally like but it really has this fresh baked moist taste that I found very enjoyable

Typical pizza that tastes like pizza. Nothing spectacular, but if you want an average pizza you can get it here.

Laventina’s Pizza Rocks! Nothing better after a night of drinking in Newport Beach. I hadn’t been there in a while & I was coming back from the Newport Boat Parade. My Über & Lift app wouldnt work & my phone was about to die. I left my credit card at a restaurant earlier that night & only had $ 13 cash left on me. I was walking down the street from Cassidy’s, trying to catch a cab back home. Then I came up on Laventina’s. I had a big decision to make, Pizza or Cab home? hmmmm. I went with the Pizza. Luckily I was able to trade a few slices to a cabby for a ride home! Solid! BYW. Do they sell slices now? Gotta Love Laventinas! Rock on !

Honestly such a decent pizza for the cost. No one else can beat their prices, taste, and quickness of delivery. I say nothing but good things to friends and they all love it too!

Can’t believe the quality for such a small price. Incredible sauce bread at a perfect thickness and the toppings with cheese pure perfection

This was my second time visiting and after loving the pizza the first time I was looking forward to this visit. The service was great, the staff member who took our order did so politely and took his time answering our questions. The wait was not too long for our pepperoni pizza and half order of wings. When our order came up they checked the pizza for accuracy and wished us good bye in the most friendliest of ways. The pizza did not disappoint! Tasted great as usual and my fav part, the sauce was delicious. Unfortunately, our wing order was all wrong. I ordered half order of wings, naked with sauce on the side. Once home noticed we were handed a hot order with the sauce in the wings. I should’ve double checked the wings and not just the pizza and it was too late by time we got home 20min away. The mix up in the wing order is the only reason I did not rate them a 5!

Weird how 1 experience can being you to wanna« Unilocal about it» I live down the peninsula and have ordered the EXACT same order for almost a year. Whether it be pick up or online. Today I ordered and a gutsy called back to let me know that the online system was incorrect and that their would be an additional charge to my order. I would’ve had no problem with it if he didn’t have an obnoxious attitude. They proceeded to charge my card after I told him I didn’t want the order. When I called back he gave me an instigating smart ass response. So hey my 12 $ a day to you’re place will happily go somewhere else. Clearly you don’t care because as the guy on the phone stated«I AMTHEMANAGER» whatever pizza places are easy. And the peninsula has great options!

You know Laventina’s is good if you find yourself standing outside and all you hear are passersby talking about how amazing their pizzas are! My boyfriend and I were hungry for some food after a day at Newport Beach and this place was conveniently located only 0.3 miles away from the pier. There is ONLY metered parking here and it costs $ 0.25 for 10 minutes, so make sure to put in at least 30 minutes worth of parking so you don’t end up with a ticket. Laventina’s is NOT a dine-in restaurant. I’d say that it’s more like a pizza shack than anything. They do deliveries and you are more than welcome to call in and carry out as well, which is something many locals choose to do in order to avoid waiting in a long line here. I got very lucky during a saturday afternoon where there was only one party in front of me! For about $ 11 I was able to order a medium one-topping pizza with 2 canned sodas. The estimated wait time was quoted at 10 minutes but came out much faster since it wasn’t too busy. The pizza comes fresh out of the oven and there’s no better way to experience a Laventina’s pizza like a FRESHLY baked slice! I definitely plan on coming back here, my only wish is that they were bigger so that you could dine in with your friends rather than sitting on the curbside eating your boxed pizza.

I rarely write any negative reviews but this one was definitely earned. The good: I can honestly say the pizza here is actually pretty good, which made this a two-star instead of negative-five which is what I wanted to rate them as. For being Newport, they do have low prices and the best thing is that it’s open later than everyone else; plus they deliver ’til pretty late as well. Which brings me to the bad: I have had many issues with the delivery from them. On one occasion they kept saying that my pizza was on the way every time I called them, I received that pizza 2.5 hours after ordering, and this was during non-rush hours during the week. Once the delivery guy came, he was confrontational with me because I brought up the slow service. Then he got even more upset when we didn’t tip him, which I thought was hilarious. I don’t know if it’s everyone there, but every time I go in or call, they act like I’m an inconvenience, not only is there a huge lack of customer service, they don’t even have manners. I know this place is a good staple for all my fellow drunks of Newport Beach, and unfortunately it is way too convenient to not get a slice to satisfy the post-Malarky’s munchies. But the attitude from this«brahs» that work here completely ruins the place.

This is the best pizza. Even my girlfriend likes it and she hates everything. She says it is the sauce. I have to agree. I also like that I can get a gluten free crust and Daiya nondairy cheese. I’ve been eating at this place since it was Valentina’s back in 1989. It was great then and better now. I think the sauce has gotten better

Laventina’s deserves a solid four stars. With all the build your own pizza joints opening up, we still believe that Laventina’s holds its own. A few notes: — This is not a place to dine in. There are no seats, so call ahead to save time and pick up your order. — The pizza crust is thicker. If you want thin crust pizza, look elsewhere. — They are very generous with their toppings. The layer of cheese is always thick. — The buffalo wings are delicious and not greasy like Wingstop’s. The accompanying buffalo sauce is finger-licking good. — Laventina’s is reasonably priced. For example, a 1 topping pizza is $ 8 for a medium and $ 11 for a large. A 5 topping pizza is $ 13 for a medium and $ 17 for a large. Whether you are picking up dinner or satisfying your hunger pangs after a night out in Newport, Laventina’s pizza will leave you satisfied!

Can you say the ultimate drunk munchies? Just kidding. But seriously. This place is the ultimate late night snack(or meal) after a long night at the bars. It’s open till 1:30 on weekends so you have plenty of time to scurry your little buns over to order a piping hot pizza. In all seriousness though, their pizza is solid. It’s fast, it’s cheesy and it’s good. Stick with the classic pepperoni or cheese and you will be a happy camper. They also offer gluten free pizza if you’re into that type of thing

I’ve had some ups and downs with this pizza joint. I’ve learned from the past mistakes. I no longer get the order for delivery. It’s just better when we pick it up ourselves. Pick up prices are cheaper(not by much) any way. The pizza is pretty good, it’s not NY or Chicago style but nevertheless, it’s delicious. There’s plenty of cheese which is key. The garlic cheese bread is bomb dot com. I should have ordered more of that. Boyfriend always orders the chicken sub. He demolishes it every time. FYI: they’ve got gluten free pizza!

Prepare to get schooled on some awesome pizza. Laventina’s is ! Just the thought of their pizzas induces massive saliva production. I’m drooling a little while writing this review. Whenever I’m in Newport I make it a habit to stop by for a meatball and mushroom pie. This place is open late, so there will be a bunch of drunkards here if you come after midnight. If you’re feeling like a baller, make sure to get into the $ 20 rush line so you can get your pie before the other line-waiting peasants. If I’m not in a rush I like to chat up the drunks and make new life long friends. The dudes that work here are super chill. I always ask them to double slice my pizzas so that it’s easier to share. Don’t tell Shaun T, but sometimes I can eat an entire pie myself. Yum.

If you are coming out of the BARS in Newport Beach, definitely come by here if you are hungry! Delicious pizza for a low cost! (See pictures for pricing) Express pizza for $ 20 Or simply wait for 15 mins for ½ the cost ~$ 10 for a medium box STAFF– I can tell they have a lot of fun watching all the drunk females! Lol! Cool spot for late night PIZZAAAAA until 1:30AM on weekends!
