Great Place went for an anniversary dinner with my husband Jeffery our server was top notch, «Very Nice Man who Gave Us Fabulous Service, Thank You Jeffery» great selections to choose from on the menu we decided to go with the Summer Special, I chose lobster with my steak was hoping for a larger tail I prefer the shellfish to the steak, at any rate it was delicious loved the meal Jeffery surprised us with a truffle box lets just say«To Die For»!! Great Experience, Lovely Night I recommend this place for special occasion dinners, date nights, happy hours etc. Recommended for sure.

First Time Here It was date night on Friday at 6:15 p.m. We made an easy reservation online and were seated promptly. The restaurant ambiance is romantic and very dark. I noticed a lot of families with young children there and I shivered at the thought of having to bring my kids to the restaurant because although they all appeared to be well-behaved and entertained, I just wouldn’t want to spend that kind of money on a meal and not to mention that I don’t think that I would be able to down my bone in rib eye quick enough before they would want to get up out of there. We sat in the middle of the restaurant which was perfect. As the front door opens with each person entering, it seems that the light shines through the first few tables like a beacon shining throughout especially since the entire room is very dim. We ordered and shared most of the meal. There was a summer wine special where you could get a choice from two bottles that they were discounted for 50% off. Our bottle with discount came out to $ 38. We shared a 20 oz. bone in rib eye(medium rare PLUS to accommodate both my husband’s affinity for medium rare and my preference for medium/pink.) We also shared a Caesar Salad and Onion Rings for a side. We chose to have it all come to the table at the same time as the steak, and it was a perfect amount of seasoning in each dish. Everything was hot and freshly cooked. I am not normally a chain kind of person but I really was impressed with the level of consistency and attention to quality and detail that Flemings demonstrated on our rare splurge of a date night. After the wine, steak, salad, and side, it was about $ 150 for both of us. We enjoyed our date. And just as an FYI to the girls, this is not a place you want to wear your SPANX, super full but satisfied and feeling stuffed!

Wanted to go to Flemings to celebrate hubby’s birthday. I read reviews on Unilocal, and they are all pretty solid. It’s an overpriced steakhouse, so if you go into it with that mindset, you won’t freak out about prices. To save money, I bought gift cards at Costco($ 79 for $ 100 to spend at the restaurant). We also bought two bottles of wine at Costco and took them along. Flemings charges a $ 20 corkage fee, but they only charged us for one bottle as a gift for my husband’s birthday. For 3 people ordering an appetizer, 2 entrees, 1 small plate, one side dish, one dessert, and one corkage fee, we got out of there paying around $ 200. Ridiculously priced, but it is an upscale nice restaurant. I ordered the shrimp and scallop«small plate.» It was good, not amazing. But my husband got two bacon-wrapped filets which he said were amazing. That was a special that evening(and if I remember correctly, it was around $ 64). We also ordered a side of lobster mac and cheese – to die for. What bugs me about these places is that not only are their entrees higher priced, but they also charge for all sides, including a baked potato $ 10-$ 12(can’t remember, but ridiculous price either way, considering they cost about $.30 at the store), salad, soup, etc. If you want to get in on the $ 40 off $ 100, you have to go Mon.-Thur.(I think) and the dates are limited. Parking on a Friday night was crazy on that side of the mall. Pay the valet fee unless you want to be circling the lot for an hour. I’d give it 5 stars if the prices were not so outrageous because our server(Simone) was awesome, they gave hubby a box of truffles for his birthday, and the meal was delicious.

Gosh dang it. I *so* badly did not want to like this place. I just knew it would be pretentious, overpriced, mediocre food, and worst of all: a chain! I somehow got suckered into going here and I went fully expecting the worst. Pulling up, the valet area was full of the types of cars that make you roll your eyes. The crowd waiting for their tables were mid-50’s, obviously had money, and were dressed to impress. Again, about what I was fearing. I was ready to bail, but then we were seated so I was in too deep. That’s when things suddenly went sideways. First, the waiter was polite and attentive. Huh? He made recommendations that weren’t the most expensive dishes on the menu, and when we overindulged in their free bread-and-cheese he brought more with a smile and before being asked to(BTW, the spreadable smoked cheddar and whatever else the other cheese was were freakin’ fabulous). Growing up in the midwest and around family raised, farm fresh beef, I like to think I know steak. I thought for sure they would foul it up, but whatever let’s try it anyway. I had yet to have a decent steak since moving to CA. I ordered the filet mignon and… gracious me, I have to admit it was the best steak I have had in a long, long time. Flavorful, tender, the thing was darn near perfect. All in all, I came away amazed. So, a special night came up a month or so later, and I wondered if we shouldn’t try Fleming’s again? I was fearful they/we got lucky the first time, and this time we had young kids and grandma in tow. We figured we try it again, and it turns out they have a basement area that is very nice and seems to be where they put the families with young kids(good for Fleming’s). THEYEVENOFFERAN «INEXPENSIVE» KID’S PLATEOFFILETMIGNON! I thought I’d have to bribe/cajole/threaten my children to eat it, but before I could even explain what they were eating they were digging in and exclaiming aloud how«yummy» it was. My filet was again basically perfect. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food and the entire evening as a whole. Bottom line, I still don’t like that it’s a chain and I don’t like most of the crowd, but Fleming’s knows how to cook food and the ambiance is that right balance of highbrow but not stuffy. I will definitely be back and would recommend it to a friend.

I wanted to take my parents to someplace special for their wedding anniversary. I’ve been to Fleming’s in La Jolla and loved the entire experience so I thought taking them to the Newport location would be perfect. Located in Fashion Island, get ready to see a ton of fancy cars. They do have valet parking for $ 6, but there was plenty of parking in the mall. Our reservations were on a Sunday at 6:15pm. We got there at 6:10 and the host said they were busing our table. I thought great, it’ll be a short while. Well… we waited and waited and waited. I was getting a bit impatient, but they apologized for having us wait and ended up seating us at a really nice booth. The manager came over to personally apologize to us and also comped our appetizer so that was really sweet of them. So here’s what we got: FOOD — Burrata with an arugula salad and roasted grape tomatoes with toasted garlic crostini — Prime Rib Dinner for $ 45(available on Sundays only) — comes with a choice of salad, side dish, and dessert. Not bad at all! — Crab cakes — these are typically an appetizer, which comes with 2 cakes, but they were able to make it into an entrée portion with 3 – 4 cakes, depending on what you prefer. — Chipotle mac & cheese(side dish) — Parsley mashed potatoes(side dish) — Fleming’s potatoes(side dish) — aka scalloped potatoes DRINKS — Mojito: that stuff was strong, but good! — A glass of red & white wine: they have a huge selection so it was difficult to choose. I ended up asking the server for his recommendations for an earthy red and a sweet white. Both turned out great! DESSERT — Lava cake — deep, slightly bitter chocolate. amazing! — Crème brûlée — parents’ favorite — Berries and chantilly cream — that cream! it was light and airy. perfect way to end the night with something refreshing. — For my parents’ anniversary, they offered us 4 complimentary truffles on a bed of chantilly cream. We were super full at this point, but still enjoyed this complimentary dessert! I truly enjoyed every part of the meal. Our two servers were amazing. They were knowledgable about the menu, kept our drinks filled, and consistently checked on us without overdoing it. I would most definitely come back again in the near future. It was a truly memorable night and I’m glad my parents enjoyed themselves!

This place is as good as it gets. From the happy hour at the bar, to a full dinner at the restaurant, you always find great service and it’s always a pleasure to visit. My favorite items are the wedge salad and the chocolate lava cake. You can’t go wrong with any of their steaks! Rib eye is always my choice. It is my favorite steakhouse in Orange County, by far.

A great steakhouse! I was able to get $ 40 off $ 100 through a promotion they were having if you made a reservation on the Fleming’s website. My good friend told me about Costco’s two $ 50 gift cards for $ 80. I combined them to get an amazing deal! I decided to treat my boyfriend out to a nice dinner… the least I could do to thank him for everything he’s done for me. Our reservation was for 7pm on a Sunday night. The mall closed at 6pm, but the parking lot was still packed at 6:15pm. The bread came with two different spreads. A cheesy chipotle and a champagne butter. The champagne butter was good, but the chipotle was amazing. We were trying to save our stomachs for steak, but ended up eating a good amount of bread. I ordered the prime rib-eye cooked medium rare. It was cooked to my liking, but it was a little too salty for me… Boyfriend liked it a lot and didn’t think it was salty. We ended up switching our steaks half way through the meal. Boyfriend ordered the prime new york strip cooked medium rare. This was not as salty as the rib eye and I thought was really good. It had great flavor. For sides we ordered the sauteed mushrooms and chipotle mac and cheese. Two great dishes. Both delicious. I really enjoyed the sauteed mushrooms and was sad when we were out. We also ordered wine. I had a 6oz of the Mark West and boyfriend had a 9oz of Avalon. They were both good. Service was good… nothing to complain about. Fleming’s is a great steakhouse, but I prefer Mastros. I feel like the steaks there are a little better. The atmosphere is much more intimate. With the deal we got, Fleming’s is much more affordable.

I came here with the boo because of a Slickdeals post — $ 40 off $ 100 if you make a reservation online before June 27 and $ 80 off $ 100 Fleming’s gift card from Costco. You do the math on how much you save. Seemed like a good deal… so why not? We ordered the rib-eye, filet mignon, truffle oil mashed potatoes, sauteed mushrooms, and chipotle mac n cheese. All their sides were delicious! Even the bread that comes out before the appetizers was amazing. It comes two different types of butter(champagne butter and smokey butter). Surprisingly, I love their sides much more than their steaks… not saying that I thought their steaks were bad… I enjoyed the quality and texture, but the seasoning was wayyy too salty. I suggest any future first-timers to ask for less salt and maybe add more later if they feel like it’s too bland. Also beware of ordering your steak rare. I love my steak rare and was pretty satisfied with it, but I can see how many people are not used to the inside being so dark. My favorite dish of the meal would probably be the chipotle mac n cheese. I’m not a huge mac and cheese person, but I highly recommend this dish. If the waitress tells you it is a little bit spicy, don’t listen because that is a lie. I can’t handle too much heat and was able to get through it without breaking a sweat. I think my overall opinion of this place is that it’s good, but not great. Had I paid full price for each entrée I probably wouldn’t be as happy. The service was good and food was good, but not worth the hefty price you’d have to pay.

Ok Fleming’s is Fleming’s… Very good food, excellent service and a really good vibe. Solid 4 stars! Not to mention all the wanna be Real Housewives of the OC trolling the bar in search of wealthy Viagra induced sugar daddies with a bad ticker! The OC Fleming’s is a bustling version of its namesake with a great vibe and ambiance along with the standard Fleming’s service and food they are known for. We started with the Fleming’s salad, then Crab cakes, the Chilean sea bass and bone in rib eye followed by the molten lava chocolate cake… All in all a really good Fleming’s dining experience across the board and good option in the OC depending upon your meal of choice or experience your in search of the OC Fleming’s has you covered. If you want the Real Housewives smörgåsbord of debauchery those Unilocal ratings run the gamut from 1 — 3.5 stars kind of a poor man’s BH Fleming’s or Mastro’s selection of horny misguided trolling Housewives on the prowl… Happy eating, drinking and hunting in the OC…

First time dining experience at this location with the family for a belated Mother’s Day celebration. Service was excellent, thank you Amedeo! There were plenty of options to choose from, including their Sunday Sonoma brunch! They brought us fresh bread with apricot jam and butter to munch on while my family and I decided what to have. We chose clam chowder soup bowl each, 4 different entrees(custom prime rib burger, lobster roll, prime rib hash, and rib eye plate with 2 different sides of potatoes). My mom loved her strawberry lemonade(complimentary refills!) and complimented that it was quite refreshing. At the end of our brunch, Amedeo have my mom and I a box of chocolates each :) Everything was delectable and the experience was phenomenal as our server checked in on us quite often. Highly recommended to dine with them at least once! P. S. They’re having a $ 40 credit off of $ 100 spent until June 2016. RSVP on their website!

I can’t say enough about what an exceptional birthday party that was thrown for me in one of their private dining rooms. It was 5* all the way! Stephen their General Manager was suburb, what a gentlemen, he oversaw the many guests, had our orders prepared and delivered with perfect synchronized timing for my 20 guests, wine flowed and the table and arrangements were flawless. Thank you too Brianne, for arranging and making sure the private room was available for this extravaganza. This was the most special birthday party I’ve ever had and the food and preparation of the prime rib was cooked to absolute perfection. With 20 fancy women, there was not one complaint, but the compliments flowed and everyone was so impressed with my choice especially with so many restaurants to choose from in Newport Beach. Thank you Stephen & Brianne for your kindness, attention to every detail & top notch professionalism. Now I’d like another reservation for 20 people for the same location and the fabulous Prime Rib Sunday night special for two more birthday celebrations in July.

We had reservations for 7:30 on a Saturday to celebrate our anniversary which passed that Tuesday, the host told us Happy Anniversary which was nice. Walking past there were a slew of expensive cars along the sidewalk. Upon entering, this place was full of old white folk coming out of work and rich housewives getting their daily cocktails in. We luckily grabbed seats at the bar and got the tail end of HH while we waited because we arrive about 15 mins early. We ordered the whiskey sour and it packed a yummy punch for $ 6 a pop. We then got called into the downstairs room that was less chaotic and more private. This room had its own bar which was great. We had two servers one was Ken, being Asian myself I found it a little hard to understand him at first but he did a nice job informing us of the daily specials and dessert ordering. I ordered the Newport Filet because it comes with the Flemings potatoes and I made a rookie mistake of telling him«medium well» I ruined my steak. This is what happens when I drink while hungry lol. My BF ordered the main filet with a side of Chipotle Mac and Cheese. Sooo good! The Mac and potatoes both had a spicy kick to it. I also ordered a Midori Sour and it was so delicious. I couldn’t finish it because I was so full. Newport Filet — 3⁄5 it tasted like hard beef jerky which was partially my own fault for asking for medium well. Potatoes — 5⁄5 Chipotle Mac — 5⁄5 Whiskey Sour and Midori Sour both — 5⁄5 Service was decent not mind blowing 4⁄5. We received a little anniversary gift the delicious truffles, they were so good! Would I return? Maybe.

My friends have been recommending that I try out Flemings for years now. In the meantime, we’d gone to nearly every other amazing steak place in Orange County(and a few that were a bit short of amazing). But we finally made it to Fleming’s a few weeks ago and it was excellent. The hostess was very friendly and took us back to our table, in the secluded dining room in the back, within a few minutes of our arrival. Once we were seated, our server came by within moments to welcome us to the restaurant. That excellent service continued throughout the night. As for the food, it was on par with the top-tier service. Came here with my family, so we got to try an assortment of dishes. For salads, we ordered the Fleming’s Salad, the New Wedge, and the Modern Caesar. Out of those, the caesar was very, very good, with the namesake Fleming’s Salad being just OK. From there, it was time for the meat and sides. We each ordered a steak, with the Filet Mignon being the most popular around the table. The steaks were served very hot, perfectly cooked, and seasoned perfectly. I opted to not include any of the rubs since this was my first visit, but that mushroom and gorgonzola rub has my name on it for when I inevitably return. Sides were also very good. We tried the Fleming’s Potatoes and the Sauteed Mushrooms. The potatoes felt very slightly undercooked, but the flavors were there and more than made up for any shortcomings in the texture. The mushrooms were also well prepared and very tasty. Finally, after indulging on far too much food, dessert. Carrot Cake and Cheesecake. The cheesecake was right up there with some of the best I’ve had. But that carrot cake, oh man, that carrot cake. Amazing. Perfect balance between a cake and frosting, and that rum sauce really sets it off.

3.5 stars. I ordered the prime bone-in ribeye with a side of creamed spinach. They offer two types of ribeye: a 20 oz. bone-in and a 16 oz. dry-aged ribeye with no bone. The 16 oz. dry-aged is a little more expensive than the larger 20 oz. bone-in. I always opt for a ribeye bone-in because this cut usually has more flavor so that is what I ordered here. I ordered my steak medium because the waitress told me that their medium rare(which I usually order) is quite rare. The steak was substantial in size and very well seasoned. It was one of the better seasoned steaks that I have eaten. Their medium preparation had very little pink in the middle and was more medium well. The beef seemed to be of a high quality and had a nice beefy flavor. The only downside to the steak was that it was quite chewy to tough. The texture was more of New York versus other ribeyes that I have had at places like Mastros for example that are tender. Nevertheless, it was a pretty decent steak. The creamed spinach was excellent with a nice creamy and slight cheese flavor. Would I return for the ribeye? I am not sure because of the bit excessive chewy texture of the ribeye.

I took Hubby out for his birthday dinner at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar which is located at Fashion Island in Newport Beach. We were greeted with smiles and were shown to our table located in the back part of the restaurant. The front part of the restaurant was pretty noisy so I was happy with our table. Our server Lisa Brazney(I asked for her card) was so friendly and very professional. Lisa took our drink orders while I perused the menu. When she returned, Lisa told us the specials of the night and we ordered: (1) French Bread w/a Whipped Brie Cheese and a Chardonnay Whipped White Cheddar Cheese — Complimentary The bread was fresh and fluffy. The two spreads for the bread were fantastic. The Brie was a lil more sharp tasting but still great and the white cheddar was very smooth. A very nice start to our dinner. (2) Blueberry Lemon Drop & Iced Tea My blueberry lemon drop was a lil too sweet for me and I later ordered a dirty martini. Hubby had iced tea. (3) Seafood Chowder Soup OMG, I think this was one of the best seafood chowder soups I’ve ever had. It arrived piping hot and included fish, clams, mussels, corn, potatoes, in a cream sauce topped off with a crispy thin baguette. I would had been happy to have a huge bowl of the soup with plenty of bread. This soup is a must order if you luv seafood. (4) The New Wedge Salad Half of an iceberg salad served with grape tomatoes, crispy onions, caramelized bacon & a big cut of blue cheese. Hubby said he was given a «chilled» fork & his salad was absolutely delicious. I only had a tiny bite because hubby finished it all. I thought it was excellent… the lettuce & tomatoes were fresh, the bacon was perfectly cooked(well done), the blue cheese was abundant & the crispy onions was a wonderful topping. This salad is also a must order! (5) Prime Bone In Ribeye I ordered my ribeye medium and topped with a Truffle-Poached Lobster. My first bite of my ribeye was kinda dry and cooked medium-well. I cut deeper into my ribeye and it was cooked medium well… there was no pink. So, I caught my server’s attention and showed Lisa that my ribeye was not cooked to my order. She immediately apologized and placed the truffle-poached lobster on a plate so that I had something to eat while they cooked me another ribeye in my request as «medium». When my perfectly bone in ribeye arrived it was cooked to medium … perfection. Seasoned well and was very juicy! Unfortunately, I was pretty full by then because hubby shared his ribeye with me. (6) Prime Bone In Ribeye Hubby’s ribeye was cooked to medium and was perfect. He kept giving me some pieces of his ribeye while I was waiting for my own steak. Then the manager(Jessica Ibrahim) came by our table and apologized for the mistake on my ribeye and offered to give us fresh new sides when my ribeye arrived and asked if there was anything she could do to rectify the mistake of the restaurant. VERY nice … this is how you run a restaurant! I told Lisa our server and Jessica that in lieu of providing newly cooked sides that If I could try the infamous lava cake and they both said no problem … it was their pleasure. Again, great customer service. (7) Lobster Mac & Cheese SO good. The mac & cheese wasn’t the«gooey» too thick type which I luv and it was topped with tender lobster. Another yummy dish! (8) Spicy Thai Green Beans The green beans were a pleasure on my palate. Cooked al dente so there was still a crunch and the seasoning at the right spice level. I loved this dish with my ribeye. (9) Chocolate Lava Cake Rich chocolate cake with a molten center of belgian chocolate, served with premium vanilla ice cream, chopped pistachios & whipped cream. This is a decadent dessert that is so yummy and a perfect end to any dinner. (10) Box of Truffle Chocolates — Complimentary Our sweet server Lisa brought my hubby a box of truffles with a birthday candle for his birthday. VERY nice! So, hubby asked for the check and we paid and left the restaurant. It’s pretty dark in the restaurant and hubby didn’t realize that the restaurant COMPED one of our ribeye steaks and the lava cake until we got home. I was pleasantly surprised. I was happily satisfied that Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar in Newport Beach knows how to keep their patrons happy! Our server Lisa & Jessica the Manager immediately rectified my situation! They have a great management team which includes a great server like Lisa. They treat you like family which is a wonderful feeling. We will definitely be back for the delicious food and great service! Absolutely a 5 Star Experience!

Pretty good HH. They seem to have twice a day. I went to the later one thats from 8−10p. 8 dishes for $ 9 until 10pm? Something like that. All the dishes were really good especially the Baked Brie! Baked Brie– Delicious! Diablo shrimp–(About 5pcs on top of chips) — Pretty good! Flatbread– Good/standard Empanadas(3pcs) — Not good. Do not order this. The Peach martini was soooooo good! I loved it!!! And I normally dont like sweet drinks. This was sweet and strong and I loved the rim!

The Sunday Prime Rib dinner is where its at. For only $ 41 the meal includes a nice juicy cut of prime rib cooked to your liking, the Fleming’s Salad or Caesar Salad, one full-size side dish and any dessert of your choice. The desserts, sides and salads are all about $ 10 – 12 when ordered a la carte which makes this a fantastic deal. Your meal is started with bread as well, but be sure not to fill up on it because you have a lot of food coming your way. I’m not a fan of fatty meat so I was pleased that the cut of prime rib didn’t have too much fat. It is served with a trio of dipping sauces: au jus, horseradish mayo and a spicy mustard. The au jus was the perfect accompaniment and I even took some to-go for when I finished my meal the next day. As for the sides, I recommend that everyone at the table orders something different for sharing, since they are full-size. The Fleming’s Potatoes were the star, nicely scalloped with a hint of jalapeños and smothered in melty cheddar cheese. Definitely not healthy but so worth it. Our other sides were the Spicy Thai Green Beans and Sautéed Mushrooms which were both great choices as well. Our server Jessica was lively and personable and did her job expertly. She really contributed to our experience being fantastic. Jessica highly recommended the Chocolate Lava Cake for dessert. You need to order it at the beginning of your meal so that they have time to prepare it. Our table decided on 2 of those and I chose the Fresh Berries and Chantilly Cream because I anticipated wanting a light dessert after a hefty meal. Both dishes were exquisite in their own way, and I think anyone would be happy with both. The berries were perfect for me and each berry was beautiful and plump, not a bad one in the bunch. Because this is Fleming’s, a regular meal here can run you a high bill. The Sunday Prime Rib Dinner prevents that from happening and is very affordable for a steakhouse, which is why I hope to indulge in it again from time to time.
