I have ordered lunch 2 times now from chef On Demand. For our first lunch order, we ordered lunch for 3, 2 hot sandwiches and a salad. The sandwiches were their creation and were creative and totally worth going back for. The salad, let me just say it was incredible. For our second visit(today), we ordered for 2. We ordered 2 cold sandwiches, and just as b4, fantastic food and service. Food — Nice presentation, great taste, large portions. Service — Great — kind and friendly.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the food that these chefs put out, whether it be a catered dinner or event or food from their Café in Garden Grove. We have used Chef On Demand for several different types of parties. We have had them cater an English Tea Party for my birthday(my favorite!), Labor Day Cookouts, Birthday Dinners, Thanksgiving Dinner, Christmas dinner, and a Mother’s Day Brunch. My favorite«food group» is sauces, and they have always come through with a winner, regardless of what is served! Now we can«order in» from the menu from their new venture«The Café». We have enjoyed several items from the Café, among them the Turkey Chili, the Grilled Caprese Sandwich, the Jalapeño Cornbread Grilled Cheese Sandwich, the Ham and Havarti, and the Turkey and Swiss Cold Sandwiches. What I like is their choices of breads and sauces that make your sandwich special. In addition, the sandwiches are served with homemade Potato Chips. Next, I want to try the salads that are offered… perhaps the Portuguese Salad! Give them a try… you won’t be disappointed.

Surprise Private Birthday Dinner She says: For my recent birthday my husband hired Chef Ben of Chef On Demand to come to our house and cook a surprise dinner for the two of us. I was delighted with delicious French-inspired menu he had prepared. For the first course we were served a slightly sweet strawberry spinach salad, followed by the most flavorful French onion soup I’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting. The third course was airline chicken breast with a tangy, but delicate lemon beurre blanc, sauteed green beans and potatoes. Fall-off-the-bone tender braised short ribs with pureed parsnip and brandy-seared scallop with a red wine redux were served for the fourth course. For dessert there was a vanilla bean crème brûlée that melted in my mouth! Chef Ben practically remained invisible in the kitchen, but was open to any questions we had and had and thoroughly explained each dish upon serving them to us. I didn’t know what to expect because I’ve never had this experience before… we usually go out to restaurants, but it was a great idea! This was the best, most romantic birthday and I will never forget it, thanks to my husband’s sweet, thoughtful plan and Chef On Demand’s fantastic delivery. I highly recommend Chef On Demand for a private dinner. He says: I had been given the number of Chef Ben by a friend after mentioning that I wanted to do something different for my wife for her birthday dinner. I talked to him and he suggested doing a dinner at my home. We did a questioning session to determine what would be enjoyed best by my wife. He came up with a 5-course menu that fit in my budget that I established with him in the questioning session. During the few days prior, he kept in contact with me as he was acquiring the ingredients, if something was going to be more expensive than originally quoted and gave me options to stay on budget. The day of the dinner, Chef Ben and his assistant arrived 60 min before the arrival time of my wife with everything they needed to prepare dinner; even their own traveling stoves. They had most of the food prepared on arrival and only needed to cook the more delicate dishes. They were very professional and unobtrusive. The whole dinner experience was totally awesome with Chef Ben serving us each meal as well as an explanation of each dish as if we were in a high class French restaurant! He also paired the whole dinner with a wonderful wine. I was really blown by how great the whole night went and would highly recommend Chef Ben for any similar situations!
