We called ahead to pay for the cupcakes we knew we absolutely couldn’t live without. Then added a dozen when we arrived to the fashion island location. The service attendant was a newbie. She was interested in us having a good experience. She didn’t know all about the cupcake tastes yet but she knew what was popular. I feel like the selection is lacking. The raspberry cupcake doesn’t taste at all like raspberry so that leave strawberry and lemon for fruit then you have a bunch of chocolate and vanilla. Eh? Décor: They receive strong points for display, packaging, and decoration. These cupcakes look amazing! We did our cupcakes sushi style. We cut them in ¼ and share all kinds of flavors. Overall, I wasn’t a fan of most of the flavors. I did fall in LOVE with the carrot cake. It isn’t often you find carrot cake with raisins and without nuts! Nailed it!

Yummy cupcakes! I don’t know why it has taken me so long to stop by. I’ve walked past this place a million times and finally thought«do it. Get a cupcake!» It was pretty good. I got the strawberry and will definitely pick one up again.

I live in LA where there is no shortage of cupcake shops. Casey’s Cupcakes is better than all of them, especially Sprinkles, which I feel is very overrated. I first tried Casey’s Cupcakes at the Riverside location, and was pleased to see one at Fashion Island as well. I like the feminine, whimsical décor of the shops and the cupcakes themselves. The extra products that are offered in the stores are also cute and interesting. With regard to the cupcakes, I love the Dark Chocolate flavor, the German Chocolate is solid, and though I only had a bite, the Crownie is also amazing! The cake is the perfect density and is moist, and the frostings are not too heavy and have a pleasant flavor. The garnishes, such as chocolate pieces, are not only aesthetically appealing, but also add a textural element and enhance the overall flavor experience. The cupcakes are packaged in nice pink boxes and bags, but the design of the boxes make them a little precarious to work with. I’ve almost lost my precious cupcakes a few times! I wish there was a Casey’s Cupcakes location closer to LA, but then again, it’s probably better for my wallet and waistline this way.

LOVE this place. Best cupcakes around. One recommendation for the owner– You should consider posting the ‘flavor of the day’ on your site so we know ahead of time what it is ;)

This is my first time coming here. This worker was super nice and friendly to me and my friend. The ice tea here is bad, but the cupcakes are good. I got a red velvet cupcake and the cream was a little hardened but it still tasted great even though i wish the cream wasn’t hard.

Simply amazing!!! First you can tell Caseys Cupcakes take pride just in its store, looks like a barbies paradise. Just decorated for the holiday season with a gorgeous tree, clean store, and polite employees … All the cupcakes looked amazing. I got the German chocolate cake and my friend got the peanut butter one. Both cake and icing were amazing, most and not overwhelming sweet !! Best cupcake I’ve had!

This is my favorite cupcake place. Love, love, love the cupcakes and my faves are the ones with peanut butter and coconut. There are several varieties to choose from and they are nicely decorated. The packaging looks great, too. I’ve been to the ones in Newport Beach and Huntington Beach. Wish they would open one near me in the Pasadena area.

Decent cupcakes. I like the fact that you can get several varieties with edible glitter on top. Super cute and fun. The employees were all nice to me when I was there as well. I’d heard their cupcakes can be a bit dry, and asked the women behind the counter for a recommendation as to their most moist. I ended up trying their red velvet and was interested to see that though the top looks like a huge pile of icing, the cake portion is actually very tall, with a moderate amount of frosting on top. This should appeal to most folks more than half cupcake/half icing. That said, the cake was a bit dry, and not overly amazing. It was quite good however, and I would not mind coming here again. It would probably be better to come earlier in the day when they have more variety and the desserts are fresher.

~4.5 stars~ So I was walking through the strips of Fashion Island when I beautiful cups cakes. I tried to resist but walk back to get one. I went with their Decadent Dark Chocolate cupcake which was rich dark chocolate cupcake with dark chocolate chips and dark chocolate icing… I loved it and enjoyed it to the fullest. I really liked their packaging as it was wrapped in a box but when open it full opens up to become kind of a plate. The server was very friendly and helped identify the cub cakes and knew what was in them.

This cupcake joint is ultra pink and so darn cute, it was hard not to check it out. Impressed with the variety of different cupcakes but disappointed with the taste, unfortunately. Cupcakes were decorated very nicely(with glitter!!!) but lacked in the taste department. I cant recall the name of the cupcake I got but it was a tuxedo type with white and chocolate inside– which was tasteless. The frosting was mediocre and kinda hard, and we were there around 10:45AM when they opened. I would love to say that I would go here again but I probably wont. The cupcakes or sweets at Whole Foods/Ralphs/Trader Joes will suffice.

Known from winning«Cupcake Wars» on the Food Network in 2011, the infamous Casey decided to open up her chain of cupcake shops around Southern California to showcase her creations and this shop does an outstanding job showing why they won. Although I’m not a huge fan of the pink decoration everywhere, this shop is clearly the cleanest and has the friendliest service out of the 3 or 4 I’ve been to. The workers here are superb define the ideal cupcake associates if there is one.(Thanks Kati and Kimberly!) I ordered the s’mores cupcake and it was one of the sweetest, but one of the most creative cupcakes I have had so far. With the roasted marshmallow on top and the fudge in the middle of the actual vanilla cupcake, it was nothing less than amazing! So guys, make sure to come here and try that cupcake it really is great!

Ordered a dozen cupcakes for graduation celebration. Went to the restaurant where they were to be delivered the next day and the order never arrived. Had to argue with the manager to get a full refund. No attempt by the store to rectify the failure to deliver — no coupon, apology, etc. Update: was contacted by the owner(I think) and she apologized for the error and offered to remedy the situation. Although we were very disappointed that night, it is refreshing to see a business trying to make up for an employee’s error. It is difficult to keep in line every employee and I understand that mistakes can be made. I changed my rating from one star to three.

Good peanut butter cupcake. Sad to see most of the items sold out mid day. They should def have more mix in the back to restock. First time here and was a little disappointed that they didn’t have red velvet. I will go back early in the morning times, because I need red velvet in my life.

I work in the area and have had the chance to try several different cupcakes from here. So far the german chocolate is my favorite, followed by the lemon. I have also tried the peanut butter, carrot cake and the glittery sprinkle one, all were good. Each cupcake is decorated with it’s own style and flare and are unique to their flavor. I have never been disappointed, the cake is always moist and the frosting is rich and creamy, not overly sugary like some frostings. The service here is also quick and friendly, all the girls are real sweet. Décor is very pink, pink, pink, but it does the job; you certainly notice the place when you walk by. I don’t know why so many people give negative reviews, I think these cup cakes are great and they are priced reasonably.

There’s nothing bad about these cupcakes but there’s nothing that great about them either. Compared to sprinkles these are a lot less sweet and I like the decorations and packaging more. I could easily eat a whole cupcake in one sitting while if I do that at Sprinkles, I’ll start to feel sick. The frosting here is not as thick but the cake is not as moist as Sprinkles. The boxes are reusable and the curly sprinkles and glitter make it fun and appealing to younger kids. You can also purchase candy and drinks here.

My first time here. Pricing was reasonable. If you know me then you know im a red velvet fan. So I had to try theirs. It was good, moist and good cake to frosting ratio. It wasnt the best red velvet cupcake ive tasted but it was still good. The box the cupcake came in was quite a genius design. You opened it and it was like you had an instant plate. Only downside was the flavor selection, which may be the result of my visit being towards the end of the day. I would still come back in the future.

I definitely stop at Casey’s almost any time I happen to be in Fashion Island. Note — They don’t have much seating in the store, it’s kind of small. I haven’t ever had trouble getting one of the seats at the store though. But if it is full, it’s not hard to find seating outside the store or in other parts of the mall. There is plenty of it. I really enjoy the Cinnamon and also the Peanut Butter cupcakes. They always make me :). I’m sure they are all good though. And they are quite large compared to other cupcake shops that I have been to. Not sure what else I can write here… =p

I don’t think their cupcakes are very good. The cake flavoring is dull, lacks flavor, and their frosting is also tasteless. When I eat a lemon cupcake I expect it to taste like lemon. I don’t want to play a guessing game and wonder if they gave me the wrong cupcake. I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because their store is clean and cheery and the customer service excellent. Unfortunately, their cupcakes suck. :(

Everyone knows I love all kind of sweet treats. I mean everyone that I know. My least favorite is cupcake but Casey’s is different. Located inside the Fashion Island. There’re limited seating both inside and outside. The shop isn’t that spacious. There’re probably 10 – 12 different kind of cupcakes to choose from. Of course, there’s red velvet too. I had the sugar-free coconut vanilla while my OC friend had the peanut butter pizazz. My cupcake was a bit dry on the inside but the frosting was just perfect. We enjoyed it to the last bite. Another wonderland like spot that would bring back to your younger age’s memories with yummy cupcakes, lots of pink decoration including the packages. I told you my fans Casey’s is different.

I remember Casey from Cupcake Wars. I also remember Arleen from Sweet Arleen’s(Westlake Village), and I remember Wonderland Cupcakes(now called Confexion) in Pasadena, who are also Cupcake Wars winners. I really like Confexion, and I don’t like Sweet Arleen’s ATALL. Soooooo, what’s gonna be with Casey’s? Well, hers are a WINNER, I’m happy to say. Very moist, flavor representative cupcakes, and I honestly have no complaints at all. Everything about her cupcakes are just as I like them to be. Unfortunately, because I was there an entire month ago but am just now writing about them, I don’t even remember what we ordered. I think we got lemon and snickerdoodle, but we got a total of 4, and I simply don’t recall the other 2 flavors. I just remember liking them all. I think my only disappointment is that my photographs are over-exposed, but that’s certainly not anything to do with Casey or her cupcakes. The cupcakes are really good. So, I guess what I’m saying is… ignore my photos for this place(I posted them anyway), stop here when at Fashion Island, and find out yourself how good they are. The store itself is darling. I actually thought I was in Disneyland… the décor and all the inviting cupcakes reminded me of a shop on Main Street that would sell that… but yet, it was right there at Fashion Island. I’m actually stunned Casey can afford to lease space at a place like Fashion Island… more power to her, though… she’s making it happen !!! All the stress, intensity and insanity of Cupcake Wars has more than paid off for her !
