Love the Fairmont Hotel. Booked a one hour Swedish massage on Saturday, September 12. Masseuse: Ivan was absolutely fantastic, but I couldn’t give this a five star rating because of the following: 1. No slippers in the men’s shower. Receptionist said they were completely out of stock. Note to management: fix this immediately. Walking barefoot in your shower area is not hygienic. 2. No clean combs in the men’s bathroom. Note to management: clean combs should be individually wrapped in plastic. 3. Shavers in the men’s bathroom are cheap. Note to management: get rid of those 19 cent Bic shavers. Spend the money on a good quality disposable razor. Also, deodorant bottle was empty, hair spray also empty. Could not find a blow dryer. No hair conditioner in Shower. As I left I asked to speak with the spa manager. Receptionist told me the manager was off. Off on a Saturday? Perhaps I’m wrong, but aren’t Saturdays typically busy spa days? No on-site management invites problems with customer satisfaction.

I booked this offer through LA Local Deals(TravelZoo) and had a great experience. My friend and I had a Sunday Spa Day with an hour massage, hour facial, and pool day. Upon arrival, the staff did a speedy check-in, and I was quickly offered a tour of the ladies’ facilities which included a restroom, lockers, showers, steamer, and lounge area(with cucumber water, tea, magazines, comfy couches, etc.). The women who gave me my massage and facial were fantastic! Having gotten many facials before, I especially loved the regimen/product line used by this spa for the facial. The entire staff was friendly and professional. I will definitely be back!

So, I will start off with the opportunities. For a Spa located within a Fairmont property, I would recommend having some sandals in the locker when you check in. In the washroom area, some skin moisturizer, shaving cream(you have the razors) pretty much anything that I would find in a Four Seasons Spa. In the quiet area, I was told there were cookies and such, but when I got there to wait for my massage therapist all I found were 3 dirty glasses and no cookies. As for the service, the receptionist was very warm and kind, but the grand slam was Estrella. By far she was probably one of the best Massage therapist I have ever had, I chose the Swedish massage, though I usually go for the deep tissue massage, I had a meeting the following day, so did not want to be achy later. Estrella was so in tune with my body right from the get go, almost appeared as if her hands were in rhythm with the soothing music in the background. I can honestly say that her massages could become quite addictive! Job well done!

This spa is the best local find! It is located in the Fairmont Hotel. I have had massages by two different therapists, Estrella and Rosario! They were both amazing. You can tell they really take pride in what they do! I’ve also enjoyed a facial. I originally tried this spa with a Groupon. I couldn’t believe how great it was so I went back for more. I’ve been a customer of Spa Gregories for many years but I think this spa and it’s therapists are better! There are outdoor pool facilities that you can use with the spa. There’s a jacuzzi and a great fire pit. There’s also food service poolside via the hotel. Free parking is also included. If you’re local, make sure to ask for the«locals» or «Travelzoo» deal!

I just had one of the best facials I’ve ever had by Bertha! She was very sweet, attentive, and gave the best massage during the facial. My skin looked great after!!! Also the rates are reasonable. I will definitely be back to have a facial by Bertha!!!

What a gem! I went and had a 1hr massage with Estrella(amazing) and a 1hr facial… the whole experience from beginning to end was awesome. I was very pleased and extremely relaxed leaving. Its not super full of amenities but all I really need is a quiet room, clean locker room and a nice robe. Check. Check. Check.

I came to this spa for the salon. So I am reviewing my salon service. I needed a haircut and couldn’t get one with my regular stylist, so I booked an appointment while staying at the hotel. The spa itself is very small and the«salon» is one small room with one stylist working at a time. However, the stylist, Casey, is great. She is experienced, friendly and efficient. She did not upsell me, even when I thought I needed a deep conditioning treatment and did not push hair products on me to purchase. She was the only positive part of my experience at The Fairmont Newport Beach.

My partner and I went here on the 10th June for a 60 minute massage and a 60 minute facial purchased through Travelzoo. Over all we were disappointed. My actual massage and facial were good, the let down was that we were not told that there would be a gap between the two services. We ended up waiting around 40 mins in the relaxation area wondering if we had been forgotten about. Our massages were finished ten minutes early. The facial was bang on 60 minutes. When we went to sign out we spoke to the manageress who apologized and said she would look into it. She said that when I made the booking I should have been told the two services would have some time in between to relax. I am pretty sure this was never mentioned. The actual place is ok, pretty clean and quiet. We have been to a few spas in South California and this was not one of our more enjoyable experiences. We wouldn’t go back.

I came here and I had a great time. The front desk receptionist Ariane was really nice to me and was very knowledgeable. The masseuse Brandi was wonderful. She gave me an amazing massage and worked my body ;) lol I felt so calm and relaxed after. I liked coming in the evenings when their is not a lot of people. This won’t be my last and I definitely will bring my sister and mother soon.

3.5 stars Had a travelzoo deal and was staying at the hotel for work. $ 89 for 45min massage and 45min facial It was definitely worth that price and everyone was quite friendly, but I would’t have had paid full price for it. There are no amenities! The steam room was out of service… so I just got dressed and left. If your staying in the hotel give it a try, but don’t go out of your way for it.

I gave Amadeus four stars only because they do not have a lot of amenities that other spas offer(i.e., Jacuzzi, steam room(only fit two people and was more like a large shower). However, the massage therapist and esthetician were wonderful. We were also able to use the pool in between our appointments, which is gorgeous. They do offer a quiet room with lemon water, coffee, a beautiful sounding fountain and magazines. Once you get on their mailing list, they offer you discounts for future visits. Would go again. The people that complained about leaving an 18% tip, come on! The massage therapists and estheticians do not make that much money and rely on tips. They usually only get paid 30−40% for the services they perform.

I had the most AMAZING massage by Adam! By far the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had several massages in my lifetime. This guy knows his stuff! He’s obviously has had many years of training and experience because I felt as though I was getting a massage that a professional athlete would receive. I sit at a desk & work in front of a computer most of the day, therefore, I have a lot of tight muscles and aches & pains. I needed just a really great massage and that’s what I got! For the first time in a month, I was able to fall asleep without tossing and turning for hours from my shoulder & lower back pain. Spa was nice, but the massage by Adam is why I will go back.

I used a TravelZoo thingy for a 45-min massage and 45-minute facial. I loved both. Up sides: Ivan, my massage therapist was wonderful. Great skill, great bedside manner, very sweet and gave me exactly what I asked for. Megan — the aesthetician was also lovely. I am not so experienced with facials as I am with massages, but everything sure seemed right to me. I love the warming racks for the robes, which I also loved. Having a soft, warm robe to put on was very nice. Free valet parking for Spa patrons, also very nice. Front desk staff were all professional, thorough and friendly. Free use of the pool area for sap guests too. If I HAD to find something to complain about, it’s this: the hot tub can barely be called that. It was large and had warm water in it, but with only 4 jets there’s no bubbles. It’s just a pool of hot water. Overall, I got a great deal. I would go there again.

Horrible experience over the phone, I didn’t even make it to the spa! I had a groupon and was given appointment options in 2 – 3 months down the road. I called back and didn’t mention groupon and miraculously I had many options for appointments. Why offer groupons if the experience is painful for the customer, I thought the whole point was to advertise service and gain recognition… I requested a full refund from groupon and will be going elsewhere for my massage, even if it costs $ 150…merp.

My whole Sunday was wasted, not mentioning 20% tips($ 120.00) for both of us for terrible experience at this spa. Therapists and staff were so rude, spa stream room was not working. The place was filthy. Well, I don’t need to say more. save your day and money, spend them somewhere else. anywhere. but here at this knock-off 4 diamond facility.

Another great massage by Natalie. Nothing else to say except«FIVESTARS». Natalie is a great massage therapist who really knows her stuff. The girls at the front desk and sweet and helpful and the massage beds are so comfy that I wanted to fall asleep!

I came here for a facial and a massage. First, I put my things in the locker room and put on a cozy bathrobe. Casey fetched me and led me to the room where she did my facial. After a relaxing steam and cleaning of my skin, she inspected it for congestion and didn’t see very much so I opted for a longer massage in lieu of extractions. She applied a yummy chocolate mask and and then massaged this amazing moisturizer into my skin. Casey has a wonderful touch and applies just the right amount of pressure. After she finished, she left to bring me a glass of flavored water while I put my robe on. I sat for a few minutes in the pretty waiting area for my massage. Bal greeted me and took me to the massage room. I placed my robe on a warming rack and laid down on clean sheets. Bal delivered one of the most relaxing massages I’ve ever had using hot stones and a nice, firm pressure. I put on my toasty warm robe and headed to the steam bath and followed up with a shower with Amadeus’ featured products. It was cold out, so I didn’t use the pool, but it’s nice to know that I can if I wanted to.

***Why are there 2 Amadeus Spa pages? I accidentally checked into the wrong one my 2nd time. D’oh **** After my previous review, I received a phone call from an apologetic and nice worker, which I assume was the general manager. She was bummed that my mom had a less than stellar experience and invited me back for another try, which I was happy to accept! So I booked an appt for 1 month later. I, unfortunately, arrived 40 mins late on the day due to horrendous car accident traffic on the 5 and so my 1 hour body massage turned into 30 minutes. :( Brandi, my masseuse, was wonderful, and explained everything that she did. She used hot stones, and was very accommodating to varying pressures. She also pointed out my trouble spots right away and helped knead them out. All too soon, it was over, and she showed me where I can spend the rest of my time– the Steam Room and the Showers. I could only handle the Steam Room for a couple minutes but it felt very purifying! I love their fluffy robes as well. All in all, they gave a complimentary massage that totaled to $ 140. I gladly gave the 18% tip and look forward to booking another visit when I want to spoil myself! (Remember to check in with Unilocal and you can get a discount for your next visit!)
