Typical Hampton Inn hotel. Free breakfast in the morning for guests. WiFi available for guests but does drop off or slow down at times. Noted overflow gutters on the front of the building, must be the reason for mosquitoes. Some of the furniture is in need of repair or replacement. Not sure why there is a wall thermostat in the room. The fan on the room air conditioning cycles on and off despite the fan being in the ‘on position’.

The staff was fantastic! Extremely accommodating to our needs. Bed was comfortable after a long flight from SF. Clean rooms, flat screen TV, nice large showers. Breakfast was more that sufficient.

One word– ROACHES! First roach spotting– in the breakfast nook. Killed by a couple other breakfast dining gentlemen. Second roach spotting– in my colleagues’ room the next night. He killed it himself. Third roach spotting– dead on the floor in the back entrance way from the parking lot. Not sure who killed it but it was left there… maybe as a warning to the other roaches? Forth roach spotting– in my room!!! One shoe in hand, paralyzed with fear, I called to the front desk. The man was helping someone and told me it would be 10 minutes before he could come! After frantically telling him I was ‘freaking out!’ he did manage to come within 5 minutes. He was rude to me when I asked if this was a recurring problem and left with no apologies. I’m so grateful that I am leaving in the morning! But not sure that I’ll get much sleep tonight. I’ve been keeping a watchful eye out for any other roaches that might find their way into my room! Also I have been kept up each night by an air-conditioner that sounds like a jet airplane. Coming from a camping family of heavy snorers, I am a deep sleeper and usually fall asleep quickly. But this air conditioning unit and I are not getting along and I have lost hours of sleep from it. On the plus side, the maids here are extremely friendly. The décor is modern. And the breakfast is decent for what you’d expect of a value hotel complimentary breakfast.(Although we still went to Starbucks each day for a real breakfast) If they could get their bug problem under control, update their air conditioning units to be more modern and quieter and work on the front desk staff, it has the potential to be a nice hotel.

Descent for a hampton. The rooms are larger than normal hamptons and are new with nice granite. No water in my fridge but I get spoiled being diamond and expect too much some time.(no upgrades). Areas not the best but stopping through its the best in the city. I’m sure it’s a normal Hampton crappy breakfast but you get what you pay for. Have some yogurt and be happy. Just a standing question, are all Hampton scrambled eggs powdered?)
