I’ve ordered their salads online at least five times they have one of the best buffalo chicken salads and taco salads I’ve ever had. Every time I’ve ordered they’re enormous and come with tummy focaccia bread. Today I just went into their actual restaurant and was seriously disappointed by a salad half the size and with no bread. I asked if there were any other Matteo’s around because I thought t couldn’t possibly be the same place but they told me there wasn’t. I won’t go back after seeing how much their quality has changed. Really disappointing because I loved their product in the past

As far as local Pizza places go, Matteo’s is as good, if not better than many in this area. At least the food has some real Italian overtones. The sauce is fresh made and they actually use real garlic too. You can get some interesting items like Broccoli Rabe, Salami, baked and seasoned potatoes, real pesto, artichokes and Gorgonzola, Feta, Provolone, ricotta and/or Asiago cheeses on the pizzas or any other items as well. The dinners are good pizza diner qulity and acceptable portion sizes, They have a pretty good Garlic/Cheese bread and also make fresh Focaccia bread. Besides Buffalo wings, a variety of burgers and also a pulled pork sandwich they have all the usual Italian items on their menu and then some. They do a pretty good baked, stuffed bread as well with anything in it you want. Pizzas are good size for the money and the desserts are a cut above many pizza places around here too. They usually have 2 good, fresh made soups available too. It’s a smaller place inside and the parking is ok. I have been there several times, and also had delivery from there, and I have not been disappointment yet. I would have given it 3.5 stars but couldn’t.

$ 3.50 a slice Crazy I mean seriously? The pizza was ok at best. And not even close to ny pizza as another review said and Peppe s and Michelangelo’s are within a few miles Maybe a whole pizza would have been better

When I ordered I was placed on hold multiple times. The young lady on the phone lack professionalism. I was told it would take 45 minutes for my food it took well over an hour. I ordered wings… Which just weren’t appealing. I ordered a chicken caesar wrap which was soggy upon delivery, could have been from the long delivery time. Lastly I order a pizza which is the reason to why I am giving it one star. I’ll never order from there again.

The Best pizza restaurant within a 20 mile radius. Went there for the first time the other day not knowing what I was walking into, but everything was great. Food was amazing had a 16″ steak and cheese grinder and couldn’t resist a slice of roni and two cans of Pepsi and my total was in the ball park of $ 13, who can beat that deal. Great business. Great customer service. Great location.(One minute from my house) And AMAZING food.

Place was decent. I have not had the pizza there yet but would like to. My friend and I ordered delivery… one veggie sub and one buffalo chicken salad to split. The veggie sub was really good… toasted, melted cheese, yummy veggies. The buffalo chicken salad was spicy enough but there was something a little weird about the chicken… dressing was good. If we get delivery from here again I would like to try something different.

I stopped in this past Saturday to try out a grinder as they were advertised to be huge. I ordered the Italian combo, and it certainly did not disappoint in size as I could barely finish even half of it! It offered good flavor too, and had plenty of meat and cheese. My fiancé ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza as and she said it was very good. Great bang for your buck! We will be returning for sure!

Love it here! The food is great. The grinders are fantastic. They have a dinner for 4 right now. Large pizza and 15 jumbo wings for $ 20.00. Check it out.

Ordered again. Again the delivery was correct, timely, hot, and friendly service. This time we got a 16 inch meatball parm sub for $ 11. Huge! I’m told it was very good, classic Italian take out. Also had the buffalo chicken salad, also huge, spicy, with a ton of Gorgonzola, and a lot of breaded chicken cutlet. Also had the tomato mozzarella panini. Good, with sun dried tomatoes. And came with a big side of seasoned fries. Again, received a free personal pizza(size of a small pizza). Good. All of this for $ 31

Not impressed. It took an hour for delivery on a Tuesday night and the pizza was cold when received to the point where the cheese was hard. Not very flavorful either. Will be back to Leo’s from now on.

Great family pizza place. I stopped by to have a personal pizza(buffalo chicken and onions!) and was impressed by their kindness. They really try to make you feel at home. They bring your order out to your table, along with real plates and utensils. Also, they bus the tables as opposed to having the customers do it. Really sweet people with good pizza! I liked the buffalo chicken, which I believe was grilled. Try it!

Really good pizza and sauce. I’ve been in the Hartford area for about 10 years and couldn’t find the great pizza I’m used to. But this place is pretty darn close! Definitely my favorite slim slice in the area. And they also serve good pasta dishes and stuffed breads, in case you’re in the mood.

Excellent place, exactly what we need for this area! Delicious pizza, great nice owners, easy location and delivery! You expect average from a small place like this, but the food is absolutely above average and we are picky. Delicious pizza options and fresh veggies and grilled chicken. You can tell they try hard and care about their customers. Give this place a shot! We have needed good pizza on the berlin turnpike for a while!!!

Tried this new place on Friday night. Delivery was super-fast, especially considering our condo is really hard to find. Tasty pizza(just got plain cheese) and nice salad with fresh veggies(usually the salads we get from pizza delivery places are gross, so big plus). One con: pizza was cold. However, she handed it to me right out of the insulated carrier after a fast delivery so I don’t know what more could’ve been done. Can’t expect take-out food to be piping hot. The food in general was probably worth three stars but I gave them four stars, because in terms of pizza delivery options, this is probably among the best I’ve found. If I’m willing to go pick up, there are definitely other favorites I’d go for. When I’m too lazy to go pick up Joey Garlic’s, I’ll def give these guys another try.

Looking for a non chain restaurant on the Berlin Turnpike, excluding diners, is the equivalent of finding a needle in a haystack. Matteo’s proved to be just what the turnpike is sadly lacking. I stopped in yesterday at around 1PM when there was only 1 other customer. Pre made pizzas are in a display case along with a number of desserts and than heated to order. I ordered 2 slices of cheese pizza to go which were NY style with a thin crust. The tomato sauce tasted homemade, the crust was crisp and the cheese was real mozzarella. The only problem I see for this relatively new restaurant is its location in a small shopping plaza set back from the turnpike and therefore offering limited visibility until you have almost driven past it. Hopefully the owners will eventually be able to develop a recurring customer base.

So I stop in at a new Pizzeria on the berlin tpk and grab a take-out menu… Matteo’s Pizzeria, which I assume is trying to make a name for themselves. (OH.and charges $ 1.50 to deliver over 2 miles)… Very small place, a couple tables, and 3 – 4 people working… father, son, mother I assume… I call to place an order for delivery… and she says… Oh geeeeee we are short a guy, and the driver called in sick, can you come get it??? I said yeah… maybe some other time… I owned a deli… they had more than enough staff to make a delivery… and they weren’t busy. if that was my business… as the owner… I would personally deliver it… especially when trying to get my feet off the ground and make a name for my new business I ordered grinders there a few days later… Quality is average to slightly above average… Price structure is a little off… $ 8.00 for a half/$ 10.50 for a whole

Matteo’s just opened in a spot formerly occupied by a different pizzeria. It’s a smallish place, clean, with 5 or 6 booths in front of large sunny windows. The owner works the counter and is very friendly and helpful. I had the lasagna lunch special which came with a good-sized salad and can of soda for something like eight bucks. The lasagna was very tasty and seemed fresh. The portion size was good. When the owner saw me frown at my salad(not his fault, I’m picky and don’t care for Asiago cheese) without my asking he whisked it away and within a couple minutes I had a newly made one in front of me. The salad ingredients tasted very fresh and for a lunch special side salad it was a good size, not just a tiny afterthought of lettuce. I work a mile away from Matteo’s and I’ll definitely be revisiting. They have a couple different soups daily and I’m looking forward to checking them out.
