Great flavors, toppings and staff. The hours are good too… Open until 10pm in the summer.

I give it 5 stars because this is the only one opened throughout the winter at my area. The ones in Cromwell Cross Roads plaza by AAA was closed, Cromwell Commens by firestone it’s closed too. You don’t know how hard I try to find a open one!

This is a awesome yogurt place. I come me a lot because it’s near my home. Lots of flavors not so many toppings and other yogurt place in the area. The friendly staff makes up for it. The location is great right off the turnpike. My family loves going here it is very family-friendly and is very modern. This is by far the best frozen yogurt place I’ve ever been to.

Finally made it to a Kiwi Spoon this weekend after hearing a bunch of positive press from Unilocal and from a few friends as well… Showed up on a Saturday @ 12:30PM(they open at noon each day)…Potentially important to my specific review. First, we’ll hit the positives here. I love the fact that this is the first froyo place I’ve come across to have a ‘small’ cup! That in itself warrants a star or 2. Sick and tired of these places only offering the large tub and ultra large tub as size options. I get why they all do it… when you price by the ounce, your goal is to get the customer to add as many as possible. Strikes me as kind of shady and kudos to Kiwi Spoon for bucking that trend. They also offer up free cups of water to help you wash down the froyo craziness you or your little one have created… Nice touch. Unfortunately, the quality of froyo and toppings left something to be desired. My ‘tart’ froyo ended up on the watery side right out of the chute. Perhaps people like it this way(?), but I like my froyo more on the ‘fro’ side of things. So a miss there. The more glaring miss was the toppings… I’m used to tons of plentiful toppings with the fruit looking fresh and each bin topped off with toppings. Perhaps I hit it at the wrong time, but something was seriously off. For example, the blueberry bin had(no joke) maybe 6 – 12 blueberries total. The strawberry bin was certainly full… with sickly looking strawberry chunks more white than red. Even certain candy /cookie options had little to no product left… Perhaps it was due to the place just opening a half hour earlier(employee had to go in the back and get a whipped cream canister when we asked as well and said the hot fudge /caramel wasn’t ready either). Guy working the store was certainly nice enough and offered up my son the opportunity for a free sample, but overall experience was a letdown. Place itself still has that bright colored motif that all of these places strive for. A bit more subdued than what I’m used to and that also contributed to the vibe that this place is not used to having customers Saturday at the lunch hour. Will I be back? I’m sure I could be convinced to give it another go… Like I said, the ability to limit my 6 year old’s size with the smaller cup is a huge win here… But another experience of the sad, sad toppings bar will probably push me away for good.

Great location in Newington; lots of parking in front; nice staff that’s friendly and helpful in choosing flavors including handing out free samples, ample space to sit indoors(nothing outdoors); lots of flavors with functional machines unlike some of the other stores around; and lots of topping options. With all of these pluses, one can’t go wrong with giving it a try.

I will start by saying that I love frozen yogurt and this location is quickly becoming my favorite. Very friendly staff, very helpful, we really enjoyed our visit here. They have at least 12 flavors and many choices for toppings, which are kept cold at the bar. They also have $ 3 Tuesdays, which I am hoping to try soon!

This place is way too close to where I work. Love the friendly staff. Love the late hours on weekends. Love the joy it brings me on stressful workdays. One thing that they have implemented at this location(I’m not sure about the other guys) is $ 3 Tuesdays. That is a great deal, especially if you know how to stack your cup just right…

If you have read my prior fro yo reviews, you know that I might have a «slight» love/obsession. From the variety of flavors to the toppings, this frozen treat has become a Sunday night staple in our house. Open since July 2013, this is another solid Kiwi Spoon location. In contest to the Rocky Hill location, this store has two additional machines. On our recent visit I was immediately great ed by two employees who were very personable and let us try some samples before we got our swirl on. My favorite comment from one of the employees was that she loved looking at peoples expressions as they tried the different combinations since everyone has their own flavor preferences. The topping bar was also quite extensive and was very neat and clean, along with the rest of the store They also have a frequent customer card. Ten stamps gets you a discount on your next purchase. It’s a great deal for those that frequent their stores often. They also have a Facebook page that will tell you what flavors are on tap at their various stores. All in all a solid store and honestly — we have yet to have a bad experience at any of their stores.
