You know it is a large fabric store… almost enough said as far as the staff goes. Some of the clerks do know what they are doing with the fabric they sell, so many more DON’T! I give them four stars because their inventory is good. I do find made in USA fabrics there, which is a huge bonus in my life. They have a fair supply of yarns for that quick pick me up, nothing local or unusual, but serviceable anyhow. You really can’t ask advice there… know what you want and go in and get it.

Older and more disorganized than Michael’s but 99% of the time has better prices. Yes, there should be more than one checkout line open. Yes, they could sweep every now and again. But in the end, the prices keep bringing me back in.

I went in to browser Jo-Ann’s the other day, and they seem to have a large selection of fabrics are very reasonable prices. Large range of colors and patterns, the materials are not luxurious but they are cheap! There is also a big selection of crafty stuff, a lot of quilting.

I’ve known this particular store for many years. I used to go there to get sewing supplies back when I was in high school, and till now they still have such a wide variety of fabrics. I was a little disappointed though with the rest of their crafts, for a big store that has been around for many years, by now they should have progressed a little. They have the worst yarn selection and pretty much all the rest of the craft stuff is just really junk and uninspiring, I even found an isle in the store that had beach chairs and memorial day décor, I guess i don’t see what that has to do with arts and crafts. I can think of other crafty stores that actually understand their purpose, this one really doesn’t.
