Eddy Farm

I was lucky enough to find Eddy Farm while on a search for bulk flowers for a baby shower. Leah told me about how she handles such orders the price was right and the pickup was convenient. They were gorgeous! And such a great value. If you are open to making your own arrangements with what’s in season, I’d highly recommend this option.

For the last two or three years I have been coming here for their corn during July through September which is always excellent. if you want really good corn or any other vegetables than you should visit this vegetable stand.

My fiancé and I visited Eddy Farm earlier this summer, and we loved it. The eggs and the produce (lettuce, radishes, assorted greens) couldn’t have been fresher. And the owners, Haley and Andy, are great folks to meet. This place is definitely worth checking out.

I cannot express my love for Eddy Farm enough. If you live in the greater Hartford area and haven’t visited them, then shame on you. I’m lucky because they are right around the corner from where I live so I’m there all summer long. This is a chemical free farm, but it is not certified organic, which doesn’t matter to me. It doesn’t have to be certified to be a chemical free farm and great for the environment. Haley and Andy are the owners. You will also see them at the farm stand on Willard Ave. They are super nice and helpful.
They have a wide variety of vegetables and some fruits. Some things they carry are: Corn, Tomatoes (including various heirloom), Raspberries, Beets, Yellow squash, Zucchini, Garlic, Fresh Bread (from Hartford Baking Company), Potatoes, Flowers, Herbs, Green beans, Pickling cucumbers, Salad Cucumbers, eggs, all different kinds of peppers, and more!
They are currently open everyday from 10 – 6.
They also sell small floral arrangements at the farm stand and will sell flowers in bulk as well as do floral arrangements for weddings and other special occasions.
Bottom line is go there and go there often!
