Kokolita Cakes

They have recently moved and I have not been able to go to the new location but I am a frequent customer. There cupcakes are delicious and are the best in SCV. I have tried many and Kokolitas are never dry and the frosting’s are perfect combos to the cake and the theme of the cupcake overall. I have also ordered cakes from them for special occasions and they taste just as good in larger size as the cupcakes. The cupcakes are made of the best quality. Martha the owner is a gem and a great asset to the community. She is very thoughtful and always helping the needy out.
Along with the amazing treat, the décor is the cutest. If you are a fan of the 50’s and I love lucy you are in for a treat. Stop on in and try my fav the Godfather

These are by far the BEST cupcakes I have ever had in my life. The variety is unparalleled and the customer service is fantastic! When you walk into Kokolita’s you can’t help but be happy. This 50’s themed bakery has become my happy place.
The owner is an amazing person. She gives back to the community every chance she gets. For Thanksgiving she even made over 750 meals for people in need. She is a genuinely good person.
The cupcakes are moist and delicious, there is literally something for everyone. I’m currently addicted to the Strawberry Shortcake, Holly Go Lightly and Chanel. I also absolutely love Burning Love and Tramp, those are 2 flavored that usually need to be ordered in advance.
My baby shower cake and cupcakes were ordered from Kokolita’s and it was beyond amazing. They were all delicious and absolutely beautiful.
The empanadas are delicious. Whether it’s a breakfast empanada, savory or sweet one, you will not be disappointed.
I’m so excited about their new party platters. I’ve already ordered mine for the Super Bowl. The potato salad is the best my family has ever had (and I make a pretty darn good one). The chicken and rice are both delicious too!

I have been to Kokolita’s a few times (at their previous location), and I absolutely love everything about it! Their cupcakes are delicious, and they have a wide variety of flavors. It is probably helpful to check out their Facebook page before going so you can see the flavors they will have that day. And their empanadas are delicious! As for the décor, their I Love Lucy shrine is amazing! I sat there and watched I Love Lucy for a little while, and it was so relaxing! The staff are very friendly and helpful – one of the best bakeries in the Santa Clarita Valley!

Delicious cakes. Devils food extremely moist and vanilla tasty as well. Butter cream very smooth and not greasy. Whipped cream frosting very good and hard to tell it was whipped cream… almost tasted like butter cream. Grandson and family delighted.
Decorating is nicely done. I Provided images for edible print. I also provided action figures.
Only reason for not rating 5 Stars is cost. Probably should rethink the two $$ posted on the site. $ 90 for 9×13 plus another $ 20 for edible appliqué is a little over the top considering I provided the action figures.
But all in all, a nice experience.

I went looking for empanadas to avoid a trip to the San Fernando Valley. I was very dissapointed. The empanadas were pricey and not good. I thought they were going to be like chilean empanadas that are bigger than the argentinian. The girl behind the counter did not have any idea of what they are selling. Next time I will have to go to the valley for good empanadas at a normal price

Kokalitas is THE BOMB! They have the freshest ingredients. I bought a dozen assorted cupcakes and before I made it home I found myself taking a bite out of every single one. I LOVED them all. They were all my new favorites. The cakes are yummy and moist. All the fillings sit perfectly inside the cake so you have this burst of flavor awesomeness with each bite. The icing is delicious and fluffy… each cupcake is made with the right icing in mind… it’s so custom… like a perfect marriage. Seriously I’ve never had better cupcakes…
And the empanadas are super delicious too. Again there are no bad flavors… My favorites are the chicken and spinach. These things are so good you better not only by one… my hubby and I almost got into a fight over the last one.lol.
Lastly this business is so well rounded that it’s not just about business but it’s about community. Martha and her staff have contributed to serving and helping the less fortunate. Recently she partnered with several non profits including ours (Lancaster Youth Development Foundation) and GAVE away hundreds of free meals for the homeless.
I’m soooo impressed with this business! Don’t just take my word… stop in and taste for yourself.

STOP! — You need not search any further for a great cupcake, cake or empanada!
We are addicted to Martha’s incredible creations… and we also love that she is the most caring, charitable person we know. Rest assured that not only are you getting an incredible cupcake, cake or empanada… but that she will use any profits she makes to help others who are less fortunate to have a better life! That’s truly rare in this world!
So go and eat up… you will love it!

Delish cupcakes as usual, especially the Chanel devil’s food cupcake with kind of a marshmallow-​y frosting covered in chocolate. :) I think it was marshmallow… sure tasted like it.

My boyfriend and I stopped by Kokolita today for the first time. They were having their anniversary celebration, so we could choose from any flavor of empanadas and cupcakes. We ended up getting artichoke spinach, BBQ pulled pork, beef and beef jalapeño empanadas, all of which were amazing! Perfectly baked, and great flavor. The beef jalapeño one wasn’t too spicy either, and was really juicy inside without making the outside soggy.
For cupcakes, we got Holly Golightly (pink champagne cupcake with strawberries inside and topped with cream cheese frosting), Winter (green tea cupcake with chantilly cream frosting and Turkish delight on top), Barefoot Contessa (crêpe suzette cupcake with almond frosting), Dahlink (brown sugar and rum cupcake with raisins and topped with buttercream), and Bitter Grapes (milk chocolate Cabernet cupcake w/​chocolate ganache filling and coating).
Pros: the cupcakes were light and airy. Love the inspiration behind the flavors. Love the inside of the bakery-​pink walls with I Love Lucy things everywhere. Friendly staff. Unique flavors you won’t find at any other cupcake place nearby. Frosting not overly sweet, like you typically get at cupcake places.
Cons: my Holly Golightly cupcake had a teensy little nugget of strawberry inside rather than being «filled with» strawberries. Neither my boyfriend nor I could actually figure out what the heck the frosting was made out of. One of the frostings was supposed to be cream cheese, but didn’t taste anything like it. A little overpriced for the size of both the empanadas and cupcakes. ($ 3.50 each, although they constantly have deals on cupcakes on their FB page).
I did enjoy the cupcakes, but they didn’t blow me away, and as a baker myself, I’m confident I could make most of these just as good at home. However, my boyfriend and I were both wishing we had gotten more empanadas, and I will definitely be back to try the other flavors of those. If I was reviewing only the empanadas, it would be 5 stars for sure!

Cakes are really good but customer service could be better. Bought a bday cake a few months ago and put request in an email. Cake was not what I ordered but who can pull the cake from the bday celebration leaving no cake? I did call the owner next day and she was apologetic. She offered a discount on my next cake. I only order 1 a year and I am not sure she remember. Perhaps a store credit could have been offered? The cake I did get was really good so can’t complain about the product.
Went to their 4 year anniversary yesterday hoping to try some of the sweet empanadas. We love the savory ones and buy them often. When I went to eat it last evening what I bit into was a pepperoni one. How disappointing. Went back today to see if they had any extra of what I had ordered. All I got was a ‘sorry’ from the young girl attending the store. Would have been nice to have been offered a free cupcake or something. In addition when I tried to add a cupcake to my order yesterday I was told it was too late because I had already paid. How hard would it have been to pull a cupcake and take the $ 2.50 cash? I’m surprised any business would turn down a cash paying customer. The store is moving to Newhall in January but not sure I will drive the extra miles for mediocre customer service

Great empanadas. Fresh and full of goodies. Give them a try. Have not tried the cupcakes but from what others have told me. Dive in. So many flavors to pick from, it might be hard to pick.

If you are like me and love to support local owner businesses. Give them a try. This is the time these companies need your support and give them a try. I’ll be back for more. Very friendly too.

So the amazing delicious cakes are only half of what makes this place so awesome. They have tons of different unique cupcake flavors to choose from, all of which are pretty tasty.
Even if the food is amazing at a restaurant I still take into account the service and friendliness of the employees. This place has exceeded all expectations I ever had. My father recently died in a tragic accident and a neighbor went to grab some cupcakes for our family. While there my neighbor told the staff about what had happened. Shortly after they had heard about what happened, they called our family and asked if they could give us a cake for the memorial service! Their kindness shocked me and nearly brought me to tears. Because of their unprecedented kindness and their amazing food, I will be a lifetime customer.

The cupcakes weren’t anything to rave about. I think when I went in (late afternoon) the cupcake I got (one for an addition to a gift and one for myself) was a little on the dry side like it was a day old. I don’t think they bake everyday or I wouldn’t of gotten a bad cupcakes. But I’m not really sure as I don’t want to say something I am not sure of. My friend who got the boxed cupcakes said hers was a little dry too. A little on the overpriced side but I went to get quick cupcakes in a box as an addition to a birthday gift. I will go back and give them a second try and change my review if my experience is different but for now this is what it is.

Cupcakes are super yummy and the chicken empanadas are delicious! Stopped by with my kids today for the first time. We got a Chanel chocolate cupcake, a Strawberry lemonade (with fresh strawberries inside), and a Rebel cupcake (maple & bacon). Got them all to go so we could enjoy them after dinner and they were great! I grabbed 2 chicken empanadas also and my 5 and almost 2 year old ate them up so quickly I ended up driving back to get two more so my hubby and I could each try one. Those were amazingly good. Definitely going back!

Unfriendly staff. Price is ok. I was excited to come in n try their food based on the reviews but I was disappointed with the staff n the food was just alright. I’m not coming back.

Choose this place based on the decent reviews. The cake I requested was poorly made. The design of the cake looked at as though a five year old went at it. For what I paid, this cake was not worth it at all. I’m greatly disappointed.

I was super excited to discover this cool vintage themed cupcake place so close to my home!
Walking in this place you’re immediately transported to a brightly colored 50’s-esque bakery, with pink and «I Love Lucy» memorabilia, my mom would be in heaven! I had perused their menu beforehand and was excited to try one of their funky green tea flavored cupcakes, but was told they only have their most popular flavors ready and in the case, and my green tea was not one of them. I tried asking for a couple more flavors but to no avail. Eventually I just asked to see whatever chocolate flavors they had because I was determined by now for some cupcake deliciousness!
Now I’ve tried a few different cupcake flavors, as my boyfriend has discovered every time he goes by Subway next door for lunch, I am super excited to get a cupcake with my sandwich. I’ve loved every cupcake I’ve tried. They’re so yummy and definitely are not the cupcakes you find at the grocery store. I just had their chocolate peanut butter one, that comes with a little candy on the top, and the frosting was my absolute favorite! And I am really not a frosting lover!
I love the cupcakes, but really wish I could try some of the more exotic flavors on the menu. I was told I could special order them, but I doubt I could call in an order of one cupcake of a specific flavor without getting laughed at. One day Kokolita, I will be able to try them all!

My favorite is her Artichoke Spinach Empanadas.
The owner, Martha is amazing and cares so much about her community.
The cupcakes are divine and look to beautiful to eat.

They aren’t the best I’ve had, but they are pretty good and I like the place.

I placed an order for a small get together — 2 dozen assorted cupcakes and 2 dozen assorted empanadas. The guests were all really happy with their treats and Maddy at the store took good care of out order.
I had some leftovers to take home, and I have to say the empanadas make a great lunch the next day!
