Best hair dresser highly recommended I went for a transformation and I was extremely happy with the outcome she is inexpensive and super friendly I live the honesty and the friendly customer service I got I will for sure go back again

Writing this is pretty hard considering I had an amazing customer service experience. Erica and the two younger girls are the sweetest. Unfortunately the quality of care really really left me upset. I went in on a Thursday morning 9am, I was going out of town the next day so I really wanted everything to be on point. My hair my nails my outfits. That being said the ladies at Edna’s assured me everything would be just fine. Two of my nails were already lifting by the time she put a top coat on so I kindly asked for her to redo them. I left not too upset thinking that all my worries were over. Not even 24 hours later my nails are completely messed up. I went back Friday afternoon 1230pm showed Erica my nails and all she could say was I could re do them for you. My flight left at 2pm for vacation so I wasn’t even trying to have her redo them. I asked for a refund and she said no because they weren’t falling off… Once you see my pictures you’ll understand why I was upset. Again girls are very nice but I would probably consider going to the valley and pay 20 for a bomb full set rather than the 30 I paid for this…

I found Edna when I moved to the SCV in 1992 and I have been a fan ever since. She’s been cutting, coloring, and styling my hair on and off for that entire time. I traveled extensively for work and lived in other cities and other countries during that time frame so I worked with other stylists and I can tell you this — Edna is the best of the best. I have very thick very straight hair and I like it to be perfect. Edna is fastidious and always gave me exactly what I wanted and what looked best for me. No one is as careful and precise in their weaved color as Edna. No one.
Edna is a tiny, energetic fireball of Philippine heritage and I just love how forthright she is — no nonsense from Edna! If you want something that she doesn’t think will look good on you or that she doesn’t think you’ll be able to maintain, she’ll tell you flat out! Now, some people don’t like that sort of personality but I love it! And Edna. She’s been my go-​to for a very long time. I love her. She is the most skilled stylist in the SCV.

I’ve been seeing edna for years. Always professional and on time. I would recommend her to anyone.

I love going to Edna’s.She cuts and color my hair beautifully and I’m always satisfied. She also does my nails and it usually last more than 2 weeks if I’m extra careful with it. Thanks Edna.

Bought a groupon and it was for two shellac manicures. First time was okay, rushed me through color and complained that she doesn’t make any money off of groupon which is very awkward for the customer– I don’t know why she keeps running specials on it then if she is so unhappy about the price on it. The second time was worse than the last, the manicure didn’t last more than a day, and was completely cracked and awful. I have never been so dissatisfied with a service and there is no point complaining, she’s just not going to listen. Will never go again.

Went here to try out a shellac manicure (thanks to Groupon). Since I was done with my other errands for the day earlier than I expected, I headed to the salon about 20 minutes earlier than my appointment time. When I entered I was asked what I was there for (like me presence was a disturbance) & then quite rudely informed that she had another person to finish before getting to me. It was not like I expected to be attended to immediately… I was more than happy to sit & wait, but she just went back to what she was doing without even offering me to have a seat. Oh well, strike 1.
Fast forward to 20 minutes AFTER my scheduled time. No apologies for the delay. Strike 2. Then l was hurried up when deciding what nail polish color to choose & warned that I would not be able to change my mind after she began. She did try to converse with me during the manicure. Mostly about how hard times were economically. I did empathize but I’m not into manicure chitchat generally & in any case that somber topic would not have been my choice during a manicure. And then mid-​way through the manicure, a man walks in with her dog! She proceeded to stop what she was doing to my nails & went to fuss over the dog! I can only hope she washed her hands thoroughly before she returned. I love dogs & all, but found that quite unprofessional. And possibly unhygienic to allow it to run about inside. Strike 3.
The manicure was not the best I’ve had, but was alright (for the Groupon price that is). A couple (but not all) of my nails did chip off over the next few days. Otherwise the manicure lasted about 2 weeks. And the shellac was less bothersome to get off than gel manicures.
The salon is not particularly modern, bright & shiny like some others in Valencia, but perhaps the price point may make up for it. However, as another reviewer notes, the place may not be for you if you want a warm, welcoming customer experience.

Edna has been doing my hair for 4 years now. I continually get compliments on both the color and the cut! It is so nice to go to someone who can do anything with hair and doesn’t send you out of the salon looking like everyone else you see! I love my unique, sassy hair. Don’t believe the bad reviews. If you are looking for an experienced professional and personal style and service, Edna is the one for you!

I purchased a groupon for a shellac manicure with Edna. At first she was upset because I had my old gel still on. She couldn’t take it off and finally said «I normally don’t charge my regular customers but I’m going to have to charge you 5 $ extra.» Eventually she warmed up and was pretty nice. The remainder of the time however she complained about how little money she was actually making from groupon and how it wasn’t really worth it. I felt bad and gave her a decent tip in spite of everything. My nails were not very neat and had several lumps. Just 2 days later they are all chipped and cracked.

I bought a Groupon deal and purchased 2 $ 15 deals for a Shellac manicure. Although she was fun and spunky, my nails started chipping and lifting that very day, this is the third day now and I only have 4 nails with some nail polish. My girlfriend’s started chipping the next day. I loved the color that I got and Edna was so fun and sweet however I don’t think either of us will be returning.

I went for a gel manicure with Edna. She was late to the appointment and once i sat down, the manicure towels were still dirty. She was also rude and provided bad service. The manicure was poorly done and only lasted a few days. I would not go back here.

I have known of Edna’s for many years since a few of my friends go there. She’s been doing hair & beauty in #scv since forever! I finally decided to give them a try after my usual girl tripled my price. (I apparently used to get a very large discount)

I first found out about this place because it was on Groupon. Shellac manicures were half off so they came out to $ 15 each. I bought two. The only thing was that this salon is appointment only. The owner told us she’s always super busy! So my friend and I made an appointment for today at 1:30 p.m.
Edna (the owner and the lady who did our Shellac manicures) was so, so sweet! She was very chatty and friendly. She asked all what school we’re going to in the fall, etc. All that good stuff. And on top of her friendliness, she as VERY good with our nails. I got a nice bright red, whereas my friend got a more nude color because she can’t have polished nails for work.
Her salon has a very homey feeling. Is that a word? Anyway, there’s purple drapes everywhere and comfy chairs with fluffy pillows. Either way, I thought it was great. It felt really welcoming and comfortable.
The deal was so good. $ 15 for Shellac? Loved it. I will definitely be back if I’m ever in the area :)

I’ve been going to Edna for years. She is a color expert and great with the scissors too. I get compliments on my hair all the time. Edna gets all the credit for that. Her full-​service salon is clean, spacious and modern. Give Edna’s Salon a try– you won’t be disappointed!

Don’t believe the negative reviews! She is Great! At hair styling and nails! You will be 100% happy with her results. She is So welcoming, happy and professional. I made a appt. just to do my nail with shellac color and came out getting a great cut, donating to Locks of Love and also getting a fab pedi by Helen. Her salon is a one stop shop when it comes to all Beauty treatments. I love how she offers you a beverage too (not all places do that anymore) the shop is clean, welcoming and always has happy music playing. Her staff is down to earth and just the friendliest too. And yes she’s a dog lover and loves her baby like I love mine. No big deal, come on people. Her dog was a show dog and doesn’t even say a word. When I was there her baby was not there. But she made me feel so welcomed that we shared our love for our babies with each others. But there is one thing thou… Please make a appt. she is always booked and taking walk in is hard for her at times. She will try hard to make room for you but please just make a appt. b/​c who likes to wait around? I hope this review has helped and please do yourself a favor and get pampered at Edna’s Salon! You will be so glad you did. One last thing her prices are fair for the really fancy skills she has. Can’t wait to go back!

I called and spoke with Edna today because my 9yr old wanted to donate her hair to Locks of Love and Edna’s website touted that her’s was the salon to go to. I asked for an appointment for Saturday, and she informed me she was booked. Okay, I realize it was last minute– I wasn’t expecting a miracle. Since I work, I asked if she was open evenings, but she is not because she comes in at 6am (doesn’t open the salon at 6– she’s just there). After conversing back and forth to figure out when I can bring my daughter, she tells me– very annoyed– to check my calendar and give her a call back (because she was booked every Saturday for blowouts). I told her that I was disappointed because my daughter was excited to donate her hair and, of course, no one else at the salon can do this but Edna (she said). She then proceeds to tell me that her clients typically book months in advance and that her new customers have to «take what they can get» (her quote, not mine). Really? You are that full of yourself that you think you are the only beautician in Santa Clarita that can cut my child’s hair? I told her I was going to take my daughter somewhere else then.
Locks of Love is a very worthy charity, but obviously not worthy enough for Edna after 5pm or on weekends.

Great experience!
Being new to the area I was understandably nervous going someplace new — there was no need. The minute I walked through the door I was greeted warmly by Edna. She talked with me, listening to my past hair «issues,» what I was looking for, and offering suggestions. The end result is fantastic! I love the cut and the color is fabulous. I have received no end of compliments… most especially from my husband.

Edna’s salon is a cutting edge salon with all the amenities you need in a salon and spa!
I can’ bring my doggie too! Great service and great prices. Brazilian blow outs for $ 89.00!!!

You can get everything done here! They have color correction specialists, incase you tried to do it yourself, but failed :)
I’m getting the spray tan and twinkle toes again on my next visit, so I’m ready for summer!!!
