Paradise Space Center

RIP OFF ALERT!!! My husband physically went to this place on April 24^th to reserve a U-​Haul truck for tomorrow, May 9^th. The total mileage we would have put on this truck would probably be about 10 miles round trip for the entire move. He was promised the truck would be ready at Paradise Space Center’s facility in Newfoundland and even got a confirmation email.
Today he gets a phone call letting him know the U-​Haul is ready for pick up in Hamburg, NJ NOT Newfoundland, NJ, because owners went on vacation and the place was closed! Now we’re expected to drive an additional 35 miles, round trip (over an hour of our time), just to pick up the truck!!!
When my husband complained to U-Haul’s main headquarters, they told him that there was nothing they could do about it, and as a way to apologize for the inconvenience of of ruining our moving day, and adding another 35 miles to our trip, they would only charge us 99 cents per mile instead of $ 1.09 per mile!!!
Clearly, this is their ploy to bolster their revenues. Shame on you U-​HAUL & PARADISE SPACE CENTER!!! NEVER AGAIN.
