We just came here for lunch on Super Bowl Sunday. Food was bland, but 3 of the 4 of my family just got sick, my youngest with diarrhea. So food was not prepared properly. WILLNOT be coming back. Our waitress was pleasant.

So this is my first time here I live close but haven’t had the chance to eat here. So happy I did. Took my family here. Walked in on a Friday night and sat right down. Food was awesome service was awesome. I ordered chicken quesadilla and they brought me fajita by mistake. No big deal, food is food. However the waitress realizes this. Apologized and brought me a platter of quesadilla free of charge.(Lunch tomorrow) woo hoo!!! Check it out. Place is priced right. Fun and food is great. They have a band which is great too. Live entrainment good food. Good beers on tap. Friendly staff. What else can you ask.

I’ve been coming here since this place opened. We walked in the the young girl sitting at the little desk was on her cell phone. I recently orders a cheese burger. When I tell you I had it served in less than. 10 minutes… The Burger was mushy… I rather cook at home before I spend money at this place. He needs to change his chef. I’m a very hard to please when it comes to food. I loved the food here, I hope the owner make a quick change, before it goes down hill. please do something, so we can come back…

Service was lousy… ignored by waiter all evening Food was horrible… whoever heard of a greasy Bavarian pretzel Host/Manager asked for more money towards bill… he forgot to add something he had to give us since waiter was nowhere to be found… never presented bill and overcharged!

Ate here at a whim over the summer. My wife and I were on the motorcycle after a long day of riding and I pulled into the grasshopper thinking that it might be fun. First off: NOT a parking-friendly place, especially on a motorcycle. There was a short wait for a table but the bar was so crowded and full of loud, rowdy assholes that we just sort of stood in the doorway waiting for our table. Was seated at a pub table– not ideal, but what the hell, right? But really had no place to spread out and relax in such tight quarters. Ordered the shepherd’s pie and the fish and chips. We figured«Irish food at an Irish place. Can’t go wrong, right?» Food took almost 90 minutes(90 fucking minutes? Are you kidding me?) to come out. Fish and chips were stone cold and as limp as the owners dick. Shepherds pie was a complete abomination. Left 90% of it sitting next to my untouched fish and shits. Waitress was completely absent during our wait. No drinks, no bread, no apologies. Did I mention that out waitress was awful? I understand that a busy night can lead to lower-quality service but … I mean… It was like we were in the twilight zone. Village Pizza was great. This place is a shithole. Save your money. Go anywhere else. Jimmy Geez is great and just up the road. If I could give zero stars I would.

Good food. Came quick. Nice service. Was pleasantly surprised. I had the chicken franchise and one of the best I’ve had. Not too lemony, just perfect.

Okay … First off … I don’t get the bad reviews on here. The music is not too loud, who cares what the bar is doing down the street and the lettuce was not wilted. People, it’s pub food. I’m going to assume some of the low ratings were from people who frequent the competition. Here is my review: it’s not good pub food it’s great pub food. I expected my sons burger to be awesome and it was. I expected the French fires to rock the gravy and they did. My husband had the Cobb salad, it was large, fresh and he didn’t leave a bite. I had the chicken cordon blue which I never eat, there was so much food, I ate less than half. It was exactly what I came here for … Great pub food. The pour on my wine was extremely generous, the staff from the moment we walked in were inviting, friendly and checked back often. We will be back when we are in the mood for great pub food!

If you’re looking for mediocre bar food, you might enjoy the grasshopper. Next time I will skip the food. The 2 stars are strictly for the drinks.

Went with a large group a few days back. The staff was very accommodating and got our seats set up without any issue or delay. All of the servers were cheerful and helpful. The place was packed, and it was so loud you couldn’t hear the person 2 seats away from you at 630pm. Food was only passable. Someone must have spilled cumin in the chili, it was overpowering. The crab stuffed shrimp for 19 dollars only had 3 shrimp… and was bland, no crab flavor at all. Onion soup was delicious. Drinks were great. I’d recommend for drinks and appys, but wouldn’t go here for a gourmet experience as main courses were blah. Not bad, but not outstanding either.

This is my first visit here. Not so much an Irish pub as an Irish-ish pub. Friendly attentive staff, good food and drink make for an enjoyable experience. I had the fish and chips which was more than adequate. My cousin had the Reuben which he raved about. Nice beer selection as well as hard liquor. Well made drinks. A plus is the bartender who knew that a martini isn’t always made with vodka. Definitely rates a return visit.

I wanted to start this review out by saying there is nothing special about this location, nor is there any supporting factors behind them advertising themselves as an Irish Restaurant. They really do not have anything special designated as, «Irish.» When I walk in, I feel like im in a knockoff of Thatcher McGee’s. Service: I sat at the bar, alone, during a recent Jets game. The bar was not all that crowded, while Jimmy Geez was packed up the street. Thinking they had beer specials, I got a Bud Light with 50% off the wing appetizer. Food: The beer was mediocre. After I waited about 15 minutes for the wings, I immediately regretted it. They were very small and dripping with grease. The quality tasted like something out of a Chinese buffet or the Butler Applebees,(which we all know can be atrocious.) Pricing: After the game, I asked for my check and I was appalled to see that I was charged $ 4.50 for each of my Bud Light draft beers, especially when other places have beer specials during football games. I could have went up the highway to the Island of Spirits, gotten the same size beer for $ 1.25 or Jimmy Geez for cheaper as well, with better atmosphere. If management was wondering why it was so empty at the bar, this is why. Conclusion: Anything you can get here, you can get better at the other surrounding restaurants. I should have gone elsewhere, but because I am so cheap, I thought 50% off wings would be a good idea. Obviously later that night and next day, my stomach begged to differ. Go to Jimmy Geez, Tuscany or stay home before coming here.

I’ve already grilled this place on their Facebook page, but I thought I might try to warn Unilocal users of this place as well. I came here with my family and our family friends. First of all, it took(no exaggeration) 20 minutes for a server to come over to just ask if we wanted to drink. It took another 10 whole minutes for SOMEONEELSE to bring the drinks after we complained. We did not have a complicated drink order — four beers and two waters. Food was below average Irish fare. Our family friend had a pretty sizable fly in her French onion soup, and our waitress would not replace it. We had to get a manager involved. Finally after we finished our meals, I requested to have the rest of mine wrapped up so I could take it home. Our waitress happily complied and took it to the kitchen. She soon returned and apologetically informed me that(and I quote), «one of the kitchen staff who doesn’t speak any English threw your food away.» They refused to replace my meal or even give us a partial refund. Even after getting a manager involved, they only offered me a free drink in lieu of the $ 15 meal for which I paid. This review was for more conservative than the one I left on their Facebook page, and left a lot of details out. Just do yourself a favor and avoid this place. With Tuscany brewhouse and jimmy geez right up the road, there’s absolutely no reason to go here.

There is no excuse for serving a wilted, and rotting salad! Gross. Two people at our table ordered burgers one, medium rare, and the other medium. Both burgers were served looking like charcoal briquettes. Moral of the story? No matter what you order, you’ll be disappointed .

One of the best burgers around. Pub atmosphere with plenty of TVs around the bar to watch your teams on the weekends. Plenty of beers on tap.

2 stars. I understand that this place is quite far away from civilization, but that doesn’t mean you should compromise quality like you’ve done. Food bad, not Irish… music too loud… no beer selection… nothing special.

I see many people love this place, and I can’t figure out why. I had arguably the worst meal of my life here. Had the fish and it tasted like licking a rusted piece of metal. never again.

We love pub food and this takes place takes it up a few notches. It’s usually so crowded we can’t get it, but we went for an early dinner and it was very family friendly. It was a little busy but we weren’t in a rush so it was great. The sangria was great, the fish and chips excellent as well as the broiled scrod was perfect with sauteed vegetables and baked sweet potato. We can’t wait to come back!

It calls itself an Irish pub, but I fail to see single Irish thing about it. Not the music, not the décor outside a few Guinness signs, not the beer, nor the atmosphere. Putting bangers and mash, fish & chips and corned beef and cabbage on your menu does not make you an «Irish pub». Chicken Murphy? It’s not an Irish dish. Heck I counted 14 Italian dishes to four Irish ones. It could easily be called La Grasappa. With the televisions all over place tuned to various sporting events it’s just your basic sports bar. I asked the bartender to put on a EPL game and he looked at me as if I had 9 eyes. In a supposedly Irish bar you’d think there would at least be a cursory knowledge of soccer and how to tune the TV to find a game. Sat at the bar and had a decent burger. Fries were quite ordinary. Bartenders were attentive and friendly. Beer selection was a major disappointment. Most of the taps are dedicated to brews from the big breweries and the large volume«craft» beer producers. The only local offering was Rammstein, but that was no longer on the menu the last time I came here. Tried the steak special. Awful! It was as if they cooked it in a toaster oven. Seriously, I can make a better steak on my stove. My last time there I tried the Chicken Murphy(which by the way is an Italian dish) and it was horrid. Do they sell«white wine reduction sauce» in cans? Because that is what it tasted like. Limp slices of chicken with some sliced, probably canned peppers and that gawdaful sauce. Chicken Murphy, made properly can be a wonderful dish but here it is just a plate of tasteless slop. Noise level is high, not a place for a quiet dinner. I guess it might be good for a happy hour with friends or business associates as log as they aren’t expecting much.

Really wanted this place to be our new go to ace nearby, not much in the area. Food is just ok, service is pretty bad and the excuses are plenty. If the kitchen crew is not cutting it, get some new people back there, even if it is the owners son at the helm. We have tried a number of time hoping it Would get better, just has not. What a shame. I will continue to monitor the Unilocal reviews and may give it another try in the future, just not willing to throw more money away at this point. One more thing, between customers smoking on the outside patio and a smoking area right outside the entrance you cannot walk in to the place or sit outside without being overcome with second hand smoke. I get it smokers have rights too, but you can’t go an hour without lighting up? That’s my 2 cents.
