This is a small but fun brewery, that is basically in their backyard. They offer mini packages of Carr’s crackers and local cheese, and a few other snacks, but the focus is on their beer. Definitely worth checking out.

We stopped here on our«Back Friday Maine Beer Trail run» and loved it. We tried 5 of their beers(5 oz. pours, $ 2 each), and our favorite was the Oktoberfest(we bought a small growler we liked it so much). The staff was super friendly and it is a super casual, relaxed environment(with two guinea hens to greet you at the door!). Good thing we got there right around when it opened because it quickly got packed! It’s also a beautiful drive from Brunswick. We will definitely be back.

This place is awesome, great beer, great atmosphere… totally relaxed, couldn’t ask for more. Thanks to our friends at King Eiders for recommending we take the quick drive :) Beer is good and water is too ;)

We stopped in a while back when our son and family were visiting from the coast. We went through the tasting drill and decided to take home a a 32 oz. — what is it — a «growler». Seven bucks for the beer and five bucks for the bottle. They said the bottle was returnable, presumably for the five dollars. Well, the beers was indistinguishable from other craft beers; the price a bit high. Today we found out that the bottle was NOT returnable. It could only be refilled. From now on it’s ours, and we don’t need more clutter. Boutiques like Oxbow are riding a mystique that gets a bit tiresome. Too much for the beer; too much for the bottle. Anyone want their bottle cheap?

Great staff, amazing farmhouse ale! Cute benches outside(they supply a basket of bug spray). Tasting room inside is cozy . Only a port a potty. Hopefully a toilet will be forth coming. Either way I’m going back . Have a beer, take home a growler. Bring snacks and hang out. Did I mention the beer was delicious !

This is a neat place on a back road. Two attractive, smiling women will pull you a draft in the small but cordial taproom. In the winter you’ll sit on high stools at a large upended barrel. In the warmer months there are picnic tables outside to enjoy your brew and watch the beer patrons come and go. You’ll see license plates from Maine, Massachusetts, New York, etc. The brews, which mostly tend to be floral and citrus, are good. I personally like Farmhouse Pale Ale the best. This is my take-home growler brew. They do lack a regular, good ol’ pub-style brew. Their line of brews seem to reflect the recipes of artsy metrosexual brewmasters. A good chewy IPA or the like would be a great addition and appeal more to us blue-collar types. You’ll enjoy one or two«samples», as their lawfully obligated to call them, but likely no more. This is not a watering hole, but just a relaxing fun place to enjoy a farmhouse brew and shoot the bull with your buddy or mate. All in all this will be a positive experience. Check it out!

Really cool spot! We were go glad we took the trip here. It’s a little off the beaten path, but I think that is part of the charm. I’m a huge fan of farmhouse beers so I loved their selection. Their tasting room is on the small side, but fun to explore. They have some fun games inside and corn hole outside. The only downside is they don’t have a running water bathroom(just a port-a-potty). The atmosphere here is relaxed and very inviting. You can’t beat drinking a farmhouse ale by a farmhouse in the middle of Maine on a picnic table!

A cool building on a woodsy property. The tasting room ‘tenders are welcoming and you’re likely to run into friendly locals. On offer are a rotating selection of four or five beers and a few bottles. I found some of the beers to be drab and the prices high. If you’re going to get a growler filled you must have one of their growlers(32 or 64 oz.) per Maine state law.

A great little brewery and taproom. The location is somewhat remote, but since I went to a wedding that was only 15 minutes away it wasn’t a long detour for me. The taproom is nice and rustic, in a woodsy setting, with seating for perhaps 15 inside and a further 10 – 20 outside. They had four draft beers available during my visit, for either full pour, as part of a sample flight or for takeaway. There were also two bottled beers available(a bit on the pricey side, I might add). The beers were all quite good. The staff was friendly and quick to serve, though it wasn’t very busy on my visit. They have simple food options, like cheese. Outside they’ve got two cornhold courts set up. Definitely worth a visit if you’re within a reasonable distance, but I probably wouldn’t travel more than an hour to come here unless they had specific beers available that interested me.

Great space and location with kind staff. Loved the selection but be ready to pay for tasters. Growlers are $ 12 and worth it. Loved the rustic feel. Quite busy when we visited on Thursday early evening in the summer.
