Antuzzi’s Newcastle Inn

Very tasty fish tacos. Excellent, high quality fish (cod). Took a while but worth the wait! Coffee was very good which you don’t always get in a place serving alcohol. Pleasant surroundings in a nice, central, low traffic location.

Being a long time fan of the place when it was Constable Jacks, we stopped in last night for a cold one. Was a real treat to meet Michael and get a tour of the place and see all the great changes he’s made. We were really impressed with how he was able to repurpose materials from other business as well as things within the building. The new deck and wine room are also very impressive. We look forward to trying the food and hearing some great tunes there in the future. From what we saw — you definitely want to check this place out before the word gets out and it’s standing room only :)

The food exceeded all expectations. It was delicious! The staff and owner were fun, warm and delightful.

Glad to see this place back in action; was a Constable Jack fan and honestly, liked their stage, dance floor, seating setup much better, but live music is great no matter where it’s played so it’s good to have more live music! Feel they should leave the food part to someone else, tho, like maybe get rid of it all together. Menu extremely limited, so if you’re a vegetarian or don’t eat red meat, eat before you go there. Noticed there’s a pizza joint next door so thinking they should take a cue from the Powerhouse Pub, i.e. pick up the red phone, place your order & within minutes you get an awesome (Chicago Fire) Pizza delivered to your bar stool. Also, who designed that waste of space called the woman’s bathroom? Why bars put in one bathroom for the ladies is beyond me and totally inconsiderate to us girls. So, yay I’m a fan because it’s always great to have more live music on the scene, but feel this place needs a little more fine tuning and hopefully the longer they’re open and bringing in some more money, they’ll reinvest a little into the place and maybe not water down their wine any more… just sayin.

Just opened and I must say I really enjoyed the music & good food. You need to check this place out.

The owner gets the best ingredients be it beef, pork or fish. everything is fresh!!! He is really trying to make his restaurant a local destination.
The beer on tap is worth the stop for the craft brew lovers.

My daughter and I recently had Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches and onion rings at Antuzzi’s recently, They were so delicious!!! We’ll be back!

I was dreaming of a breakfast like this — and they exceeded my expectations! The Country skillet is fabulous! Perfectly seasoned and grilled veggies topped with melting cheese and two eggs, heaven! My friend Nancy (a retired chef) said hers was the perfect omelette! They are right off the I80 freeway at the Newcastle exit in charming old town.

Best steak sandwich and Biscuits and Gravy we’ve ever had. Incredible ode to the history of Old Newcastle. As locals, we will be back very soon. Incredible.

If you’re looking for a relaxed, home feeling, this is the place to be. The eggs Benedict is to die for!

Sunday Jan. 31^st, 2016. Went there to see Coco Montoya. The place was packed and really rocked. What a treat to see such talent and so many people having such fun and dancing the evening away. Was surprised they were serving food and wished I had thought about that as we would have eaten there too. Right now they open for breakfast and lunch but later will be adding dinners to the agenda. So nice to be able to enjoy an option such as this place offers and it has a resident ‘ghost’ so it has been said.
