Fantastic. This is the only place to go for waxing. Had bikini and face done. Amazing spa/room where waxing takes place. Make sure you ask for Mimi– she is phenomenal and is meticulous, professional, and performs virtually pain-free waxing. The whole spa has a soothing, relaxing, and comfortable feel to it. Priced just right. You will love it.

Best hair stylist and colorist. Wonderful in town getaway for individual or couples massage. Tea Room is a slice of heaven. Special things they offer to clients during services or while they wait are herbal teas, coffees, cucumber water(refreshing), and hot towel wrap with Clove for men’s cuts. A place to be pampered!

The spa at Spa Paradiso and Salon is ultimate indulgence. I had a massage, fitness facial and men’s manicure. The spa is an old heritage house in the historic downtown harbor of Newburyport. From the moment you walk up the front stairs entering the building you start to notice little elegant touches. I was welcomed with a warm greeting and was offered cozy footwear to slip on. After I was checked in I was shown to the«tea room». A cozy room on the second floor with lots of natural light and a variety of teas, cookies and treats to indulge in. I especially enjoyed the book section. A few dozen inspiring short story’s sit on the window sill. A few minutes before my service I was escorted to the third floor by Linda my massage therapist. She welcomed me to sit on an oversized couch placing a lavender scented hot neck wrap and placing my feet in a hot foot soak with fresh rose pedal in a beautiful copper bowl. While I rested I sipped on a mango tea that had been freshly poured for me from the decorative tea pot that was next to me. When I was ready she dried off my feet and was shown to the attached bath to change into a plush robe. The massage was one of best I have every received incorporating aromatherapy and great techniques. After I was escorted to the room where I was to have my facial. My esthetician Mimi was the ultimate professional. So soft spoken, calm and kind. The facial was so relaxing and my skin looked amazing after. All the hot towels, aromatherapy and massage components were top notch. Finally I wash brought back down stairs. Again, I was offered a beverage and had a scented hot neck wrap placed on my shoulders. The service was very relaxing and all the smells were intoxicating! The spa at Spa Paradsio is a luxurious experience from start to finish. The property is extremely clean and the décor and personal touches are something out of a story book. I would highly recommend any service here!

For my sister’s wedding in Newburyport, I scheduled all the bridesmaids to get nails and a blow out here for the rehearsal dinner the night before. The salon is charming and cozy, and I had a great spa pedicure from Linda, and Katie did an amazing job with my blow out, so I’m disappointed that I have to give them only 2 stars… BECAUSE… on the website, it says $ 37 for a wash/dry/style, which is on par with Dry Bar, etc. So some of the girls got their hair curled as well. Only AFTER they were done, we were informed that curling the hair is $ 25 extra… Are you kidding me??? $ 62 for a blow out and some curls? And to not tell us until after the service??? Criminal. Completely unprofessional, ridiculous and overpriced. Lovely placed, but sorely disappointed in the way they do business.

Recently went here with a group of 6 ladies for a spa day and wow what an amazing experience. The whole staff was super accommodating and made our girls day quite memorable. We brought in some food and champagne which the staff graciously offered to refrigerate and fill us up when our flutes got low. I started the day off with a 60 minute massage. I have had many massages in my day but this was the first time I was offered tea and a foot bath before it all began. Then I went into the beautfiul massage room! It was very relaxing and had a very European feel to the room. After my wonderful massage I was escorted downstairs for my mani/pedi. I was then offered my champagne some water and a neck wrap to keep me relaxed. This experience could not have been better. I will definitely be going back, they have a lovely couples massage room on the top floor that I can’t wait to use!

I had a wonderful first experience at Spa Paradiso yesterday! I scheduled a 60-minute holistic massage after receiving a gift certificate from a friend. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at ease. The setting is beautiful and very peaceful. The massage was the best I have gotten! Tracie, a new masseuse, was kind, sensitive, and thorough. A special they’re running all summer gives you $ 25 off a massage with Tracie, which is a wonderful deal. A very positive and wonderful experience!

I went to Spa Paradiso today for a prenatal massage and a manicure and pedicure. The massage was wonderful! The mani/pedi did not disappoint, they even use Zoya nail polish which is non toxic and«pregnancy safe»(no formaldehyde, etc). The manicure was thorough, my nails look great. The pedi was fabulous, she did a sugar rub using a local product and my feet have never felt or looked better.

I feel I should preface this review by saying I live in NYC(and have for going on 13 years), where you can’t walk 2 blocks without passing a good and cheap nail salon. So when I was looking for a place to get my nails done before a wedding during a recent trip back up north, I was expecting to overpay and not necessarily have the best experience. But hey, my nails needed to get did. I first wandered into Polished, a few blocks away, where there were two people working and one customer in the entire salon. I was told they couldn’t see me without an appointment. Another quick search on my phone turned up Spa Paradiso, and I’m so glad it did! I saw Linda, who was lovely, and at $ 23 for a standard manicure it was in fact much more than I’m used to paying in NYC. Still, it was a very pleasant, much more upscale experience, and the best part is that my bright coral manicure lasted for TWO full weeks! It wasn’t shellac, just basic polish. I’m not sure what she did that made it so durable, but I was truly impressed. Despite the higher price tag, I’m considering making a special trip back here next time I’m in the area, it was that good!

I just got the worst pedicure of my life from this place. I normally go to 10 perfect nails in Amesbury because it’s close to home and although it’s nothing fancy, they do a great job. I was given a gift certificate to Spa Paradiso and was trying it out for the first time. I had to call 3 times and leave an e-mail before I got to talk to a real person and make an appointment. Then they wanted me to give them my credit card and leave a deposit before they would make an appointment. When I refused, they backed down. They were able to make an appointment for me and a friend at the same time, which was great and we had a good time catching up. The ambiance is nice and the place is very clean. They don’t have traditional pedicure chairs, which would be ok but the bowl of water I put my feet in was luke warm at best. The pedicurist must have been new because she didn’t seem to really know what she was doing, She hurt me a number of times and I had to re-position her twice because she was holding my leg in an awkward or twisted position. She did a terrible paint job on my toes — all lumpy and messy, I could have done it much better myself and am used to a much higher quality of work everywhere else I have ever been. I left with one toe bleeding and dry, ashy heels. I still have money left on the gift certificate and I am honestly not sure what to do with it.

Awesome place for a pedicure! This spa/salon is small but the atmosphere is pure Newburyport and definitely a worthy stop on a day trip from Boston. Paradiso offers a fantastic spa pedicure with a huge assortment of nail polishes to choose from, plus a relaxing soak, massage, and foot«masque» with high-quality natural products. I love that this joint doesn’t have those blatantly unhygienic pedicure tubs; rather, they use large copper basins and separate comfortable leather chairs. Much homier and less, well, septic. I love knowing I won’t contract athlete’s foot or you know, some sort of necrotizing disease.(Hey, I saw it on 20/20, that must mean it’s real.) My pal and I were offered complimentary beverages and snacks while we relaxed, which was a nice perk, and the ladies that work there are sweet, friendly, and funny. Even though it was already closing time, they were kind enough to indulge my request for last-minute brow repair. It’s a little pricey, to be sure, but worth it. Definitely one of the highlights of my girls’ weekend in Newburyport, and I’m sure to go back next time I’m north of this infernal city.

We had appointments on Saturday 6⁄12 for massages. I had Ina and she was just wonderful. It was the best massage I have ever had. It was very comfortable being there with my daughters and friend. I recommend this establishment to all.
