You won’t be impressed by the service here like the other reviews say, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a whole lot of cool stuff here. Candles, reclaimed furniture, household supplies, cooking and wine supplies. It’s one of the better and more affordable shops in downtown Newburyport.

this is a really lovely, thoughtful shop. I will definitely be returning. The gentleman working the counter was kind and did not bother me while I shopped (which I appreciated). There is a great mix of old and new things. I thought some of the greenery/​lavender/​berries were a bit over priced, but who am I to judge? I did buy a wonderful vintage, wool pillow and seriously considered some other beautiful things.

I have been in this shop a few times. The design is artistic and thoughtful, and there are lots of great things to look at. The owner has always been polite and pleasant. She is not chatty, necessarily, but when I have asked her about something, she just goes on with helpful information. I love this shop.

as other reviewers noted, be prepared to be treated not so warmly! the staff is definitely on the unfriendly side. though the man was nicer than the woman. that being said, they have super cute stuff. i can get love from my family, so i am ok with it!

I went in and the man working there was rude condescending arrogant and incredibly unhelpful. I’ve lived in newburyport for many years and have never encounter anything even close to this. I would never recommend this place to anyone and was left speechless by their service. Do yourself a favor and stay far away.

I have been shopping at Ivy Lane for a couple of months. They have a very wide variety of items to choose from for the home. However, this establishment is owned by two owners. When I’m in there with one of the owners, she is so rude. She is extremely dismissive as though I’m wasting her time. I have vowed to never walk through that door again. No one needs to feel that way in this beautiful town.
