The Medicine Shoppe

I’ve been coming here for last year or so and have been meaning to write this review! Grace, the owner, who is there everyday except Sundays (closed on Sundays) is the NICEST, most knowledgeable pharmacist I have ever encountered. My old pharmacy in my town, WLV, went out of biz and was told of this pharmacy and of Grace and have been a loyal customer since! I even get my dog’s meds here! If she doesn’t carry what you need, she will order and have usually within 2 days if not the next day! She always takes time to answer my questions, and we have actually become friends. I love that in a pharmacist. Like it should be! You need to trust your pharmacist and know that they are paying attention to what you need and what you are taking, incase of any interactions or what not. I am a fan of supporting small local businesses, and not the big chains. This is one worthy of my support and your’s as well, if you decide to go. She also matched any other pharmacy price or lowered it when insurance doesn’t cover. Grace is a hardworking woman who truly cares about her customers and does it with a great attitude and is always friendly, kind and accommodating! Best pharmacy and pharmacist in Ventura County by far!

Support your local small business instead of being just a «number» at the other pharmacies at Target, Walmart, Albertsons, Ralphs, etc. Grace will take care of your prescription super fast, there’s no need to drop off and have to come back later if you need your meds right away. Personal service, fast, friendly, efficient, and on top of things especially if you need your Dr’s authorization for a refill or if there’s a problem with your insurance. As long as I live in the area, I won’t go to another pharmacy. The only drawback is the business hours are more limited and they are closed Sundays, but that’s never been a problem for me.

The Medicine Shoppe is Newbury Park’s best kept pharmacy secret. Grace knows how to make your health care a priority.
