Been a long time since I’ve been back at this bar, I tried this place out a few times with my friends for the food and was routinely let down. Apparently the kitchen staff kept being turned over and you can tell by the quality of food and the consistency. But I guess I’ll give it a shot now that they have Coors Light On Tap. It’s the little things. Also the bartenders are pretty good

Great atmosphere, great food, great beer. I love the printed menus(it took us a minute to realize that they were actually menus) and the giant assortment of food. There is something for everyone and there are new combinations of things so you never get bored. And theres sometimes live music which is great!

So happy to find this place! I love an eclectic bar that pours a good pint and has an extensive bar food menu. I’ve been missing a place like this since moving to the area. The staff was laid back and super chill… adding to the retro and relaxed vibe. We were unaware there would be a Tuesday crowd, but with a 5 for $ 5 taco Tuesday special you really can’t go wrong. This visit was on my birthday and for the most part I left full and happy, only complaint is that my fries were undercooked. The upside is that my burger wasn’t…I’m looking forward to trying additional menu options and am hoping for a good rotation on draft.

Tonight was at least the 10th time I’ve been to The Wherehouse and it was probably the most disappointing of the lot. The service is always slow, even when my friends and I are the only ones in the place, but tonight was just sad. At 6:30pm on ‘Taco Tuesday’ the place was busy, but there appeared to be only one server(maybe two or three, but I only saw one guy ever bringing food to the tables), who was chill(as expected from TW), but maybe a bit too chill given the number of people in the place. I ordered a Zombie Burger, and 45 min later, I was handed a barely warm, not medium-cooked(as requested) but rare, burger. I returned my burger so it could be at least warm when I ate it and that’s exactly what I got back: a warm burger that was raw in the middle. The portion of fries that my son and I received with our meals was anemic, at best. My other son’s tacos were filled 5⁄6 with iceberg lettuce and grated cheese and 1⁄6 chopped meat. While the service and the food have never been all that spectacular, this was by far the worst experience I’ve had. My family and I visited tonight so that we could celebrate a family milestone and it was a disappointing experience. Honestly, I don’t know that my family, nor my friends, and I will be visiting any time in the near future. I really like the ambiance of this eatery, particularly since there is always soccer or rugby playing on the TVs, but the service and food quality are just not worth the visit. Sorely disappointed.

Love eating there! Food is DELICIOUS! Been there several times, and I always get their bowl of vegetarian chili,(even though I shouldn’t cause it’s very spicy, and I have ulcers). But, when your starving and you see it coming towards you, you forget about everything else. Geeee, what more can I say?

We had the Bistro Burger and The Razorback. They both were awesome, the sides were enough to not even need the entrée. Definitely a place to go when your hungry and want a comfortable atmosphere. Our waiter Miguel was super helpful figuring out a good choice as they have something like 20+ burger choices all of which are delicious. They even prepared our burgers exactly to our specifications.

Taco Tuesdays, Wing Wednesdays, Mac(&cheese) Daddy Thursdays. A billion different burgers. Best mac and cheese I have ever had in a giant $ 10 bowl.

This is the best vegan/vegetarian option in the Newburgh, Wallkill, area we have found. Everyone was so friendly. They even accommodated us as far as my hubby being vegetarian and I being vegan, making the veggie nachos split down the middle so we both could eat it. The atmosphere was spot on and the décor was very cool with all the records on the wall. The main course was delicious but so much food we have enough for another meal each. Price was right and the drinks were great. Will definitely return and recommend to others. Hidden gem in Newburgh

Hole in the fence, chicken shack. Bad location, proverbially worse signage, passed it twice. Rooms are small, doors squeaky, tables wobble and size of postage stamps. Food is nothing to remember. Bland with a side of bland. Music was too loud, room drafty. Wait staff was learning the job while we had a night out. It’s Newburgh, what was I expecting? Not much.

Great beer selection on tap. Friendly bartender. My friend raved about the macaroni and cheese but I didn’t eat any. When I’m drinking I like to just drink. Until I need to eat or pass out. Whatever happens first. Sometimes both. I would definitely like to try the food sometime though. I want a beer now.

My first impression was what a cool place. The ceiling is decorated with real vinyl records and the menus are newspapers. The seating is comfortable, your not on top of other customers. The food came out quickly and it was quite tasty. The only thing that didn’t give it four stars is the waitress seemed a little annoyed when I told her I had asked for zucchini strips instead of fries. Her reply was your order doesn’t come with it. Which I was willing to pay extra but, her reply made me tell her forget it. I think I would visit again. Would like to try some other cool stuff on the menu.

Apparently on Sundays, the waiter acts as the server for the whole place. And if you happen to come in on THATSUNDAY where the place is full, you end up getting your own menus, utensils, and go up to the bar to help the poor bartender, who’s running the place all by himself, to get your own drinks. Burgers are still good, they have the biggest menu for themed burgers, 98 by my count, plus turkey and veggie burgers. Of course, nice selection of beers, no hard liquor, small wine selection. 5 stars for the bartender who kept his cool and managed to be the one man show. Shame on you management.

The Wherehouse is one of the finer points of the lower Broadway section of Newburgh. The food is always good, they have great selection of wings and burgers. A very casual place to eat. With Tuesday Tacos and Wednesday Wings they have great deals. They’re selections of beer on tap is always changing. It’s a relaxed environment so don’t except timely service though all of the staff is friendly and nice to talk with.

No idea what to expect when one of the people at storm king recommended this place. Unique selection of beers, excellent chili and one of the most extensive selection of burgers in the country…50 in all plus you can customize them.

I go here at least once a month. Lately the service has been beyond horrible. Was sat on a Tuesday evening(taco Tuesday) our table had 1 chair(party of 2) boyfriend went to take a chair from an empty table the host made us stand and wait at the table while he went and got one from the back. We looked over our beer menus and waited 17MINUTESANDNOONECAMETOOURTABLEONCE!!! We walked out after I made those awkward«uhh hey we’re here waiting» eyes to the host and he watched us walk out the door. Will NEVER be back. It wasn’t busy enough for this complete not even lack of good service but ANYSERVICE!

This place is like the shining diamond of Liberty St. The staff is rad; the bartender we had recommended a slew of perfect beers for what we wanted. The mac and cheese was sensational(and I don’t say this lightly, I am VERY picky about mac and cheese). Atmosphere was pretty cool. I’d like to check it out again some night when they have music but, sadly, I live out of state now and don’t make it up too often. If you’re in Newburgh and in the mood for quality beer, food, and service, definitely swing by the Wherehouse!

Been here 3 times now. Really becoming one of our favorites in HV. I’ve had 3 different burgers each time, each one as great as the last. I’m from Atlanta, we had one of the greatest burger joints ever in The Vortex. Dan and his crew have made my move here better by reminding me of the great parts of my home, great burgers and beer! Great food and helpful friendly staff. These guys are an asset to Newburgh! Do yourself a favor and check them out

It was a pretty mediocre experience overall. For the price I’d expect to be blown away with the food, but it just ended up being regular bar/restaurant. I got a burger and two beer, 30 bucks… are we in manhattan? The burger was overcooked as well as the fries. They had a decent variety of beers to choose from, but for 7 bucks a pop. Such a shame, the atmosphere was chill and the bartender was good. Lower the price by a few dollars and employ a better cook and I’ll risk endangering my life to go back to the burgh.
