Food was absolutely excellent. The service was ok, nothing to really get excited about. But when it’s time to pay you better pay attention or you just might overpay. I was so distracted by the great meal I had that I didn’t say anything when my check was $ 2.00 higher than the menu prices. Then, and it’s my own fault, I was short changed $ 10.00 when I paid with a large bill. My advice, pay attention to the check and count your change.

Delicious meal. Nothing fancy, simple, clean & inviting. I had vegetables(1st time for me having boiled green bananas) pork & a piece of chicken, all yummy. I could easily over eat at this place I requested less than the young man was going to put in the dish. Caution, I asked for one tostone and much to my surprise I was given a whole order. One the young lady understood I wanted one piece, she refunded the amount I paid for the tostone and I got to enjoy my guilty pleasure of having a single one. I’m not from the area but when I am, this will be my lunch spot.

Amazing Puerto Rican food! Had the cheese mofongo, yucca frita, shredded pork, and tostones. My husband and I didn’t even make a dent in it! Portions are huge and prices are super reasonable. Will definitely be returning. Everything was delicious!

The amount of love I have for puerto rican food is insane. I could eat puerto rican food every night if that was the case(actually not every night I need to keep my figure haha). I’m not sure how Danny’s pricing is because I don’t really get receipts from there. An empanada, soda and dish(choice of rice, choice of beans, and choice of meat is around $ 15). The portion is huge too! I always get the yellow rice, red beans and beef stew with Pernil(shredded pork) Don’t forget the Maduros(sweet plantains). Anyway, the food is amazing.

We ordered the beef stew, shredded pork, yellow rice, red beans, tostones and pastel with pork. The meat was very tender. The tostones were served piping hot and fresh. They were served with a sauce that was tangy and brought out the flavor of the tostones. Everything was delicious! Our only disappointment was that they ran out of platanos maduros. Other than that, we enjoyed the experience.

This was my first time here and it did not disappoint! I had the pulled pork with rice and beans, chicken meat pies and fried pork. The pulled pork was moist, tasted great and had nice big chunks. I was also given the option of having a couple pieces of crispy skin included(yum). The meat pies were crispy on the outside and had awesome filling. The fried pork(ok maybe not healthy) was sooo good, crispy skin, soft juicy fat layer and tender meat. A large pulled pork with rice and beans, 2 chicken meat pies and one piece of fried pork was $ 16.00, certainly enough for two and well worth it!

Small local eatery with excellent Puerto Rican, Spanish cuisine. The portions are huge and very tasty. The shredded pork dish is great! The prices are extremely reasonable and you have to bring a big appetite! Definitely a place to try if you are near this area.

I used to have lunch here all the time during work. The red beans and yellow rice is always delicious! I get the chicken on the bone and that sauce is perfection! The meat is juicy and tender and always cooked to perfection. The food here is the kind you crave because it’s so good. Plus the owner is very nice and personable. What a great little place.

Great Puerto Rican/Dominican food. It can be hit or miss since the menu varies daily. The pork ribs are great, when they have them. Arroz and habichuelas(beans) are on point. The pernil(pork) also is awesome. Prices are very reasonable for the portions served. A Newburgh must try.

GREAT food! It’s a small hole-in-the-wall joint but they make some great stuff! I can definitely recommend the beef stew over rice. And the flan was really good too! Mostly it’s a take-out place & the sit-down ambience is basically what you’d get in a Chinese take-out place — industrial seating but CLEAN! — but definitely worth it!

We really enjoyed the pulled pork! So tasty and moist. The black beans was good and peas and rice. I went to Danny’s with my Dominican friend and she really enjoyed the food too! My husband enjoyed the food as well, especially the portion, since he’s a big and tall man.

5 stars for value and being genuine Puerto Rican fare. Reminds me of the restaurants in Spanish Harlem. The food taste good and portions are huge and inexpensive.
