A friend recommended this restaurant and I’m glad we went. Wonderful atmosphere, wait staff was very friendly, bar made perfect martini, and the surf and turf recommended by our waiter was by far the best meal we’ve had in the tri-state area. You must try this café. You won’t regret it. Recommend reservations. Added to our favorite list. We will be back!

If you come to Newburgh, you should definitely stop and eat here. The only thing you need to know is that if it is in the summer and on the weekend, you better get a reservation. The outdoor seating is wonderful when the weather is right, and the food is awesome. I have had many different dishes and thoroughly enjoyed every one. I love the Gyros, and you have to get the potato wedges with chipotle dipping sauce. The soups are fantastic especially the Muligatawny. For desert, I highly recommend anything Ms Penny has fixed, but the carrot cake is devine. My wife and I will stop by on the way home just to take a pice of carrot cake home with us. I can not say enough about how much with love Café Arazu, and afterwards you can take a nice walk along the river, or go grab some ice cream at Ben and Penny’s during the summer.

Very yummy food! Ordered the chicken spinach artichoke wrap and my mom ordered the gyro. Both were Delish. In fact, I can’t wait to go back again so I can order my own gyro… I kept stealing bites of hers;) We also had great service.

Nick was our waiter for lunch. Very pleasant young man. You could order lunch or dinner entrees at lunch time. Nice selection of beers and wines. Many wines available by the glass. Outside patio area tastefully decorated with a nice view of the Ohio River.

My work team brought one of our clients to Café Arazu on a Monday evening in early July. We arrived at 530pm and were lucky to get the last available table. We were pleasantly surprised at how busy they were on a Monday evening. We had excellent service. Our server took the time to explain what various dishes were. One member of our party had never eaten Middle Eastern food before. Our server’s patience with our questions and entrée suggestions were greatly appreciated. Our party ordered the shwarma, chicken kebobs and salmon. Everyone was very pleased. Food arrived about 15 – 20 minutes after ordering. The location is great in downtown Newburgh. The restaurant is tastefully decorated yet cozy. The outdoor patio is beautifully decorated and a huge hit — always packed. Can’t wait for them to open their downtown Evansville location.

My wife and I have picked this as our favorite restaurant in the area. It is cultural, romantic, and has a great view of the river with an outdoor patio. The menu is Mediterranean done right. All of the food is made fresh with great flavor and the quality is excellent. Generic is not a word that I would use to describe about anything at this restaurant. The cocktails and desserts are also done well.

Decided to dine-in with my husband and it was delicious! I am on my way cross country and I am spending one night in Evansville. I found this location on Unilocal. I love Persian food and they had a interesting selection. Everything was spot on– the service, the cocktails, the food, the atmosphere. I recommend you try it. Confession: I did eat entirely too much food. The eggplant appetizer was the best.

Great dining experience overlooking the river. The slaw was delicious. We had the chicken, artichoke, spinach wrap; Pork Sandwich; and Thai Salmon. All were very good… you can’t go wrong.

Open air seating that overlooks the Ohio River makes it one of my favorites restaurants in the tristate. Flavorful dishes with a variety items has something for everyone. This place clearly is not a food service abuser(it taste made fresh from scratch). Bar none all around Newburgh best.

We had a bad experience, but I still give this place 5 stars! We came with a party of 8, and it was apparent that something was wrong as numerous tables were being served ahead of us. The waitress immediately brought us a comped bottle of wine as an apology and told the grill staff to move our order to the front. When we received dinner, several of our meat entrees were overcooked. We asked that these be replaced and instead of being annoyed, the entire staff stopped by our table to apologize — including the owner. The owner even offered to take the small child in our group for ice cream at the neighboring ice cream shop, which he came through on! I did not have a great experience, but I had the perfect kind of customer service that should forever endear you to this wonderful restaurant. The food was great too. The special of Blackberry Pork, if it is available, should not be skipped.

My first time in Newburgh and therefore my first time to this place. I went at night by myself while on a work trip. The ambience in the restaurant is quaint and definitely non-American… I felt like I was in another part of the world. I ordered the salmon with the Thai glaze and veggies, which was very tasty. The presentation and choice of vegetables was very good. I also like the brown lentils and rice that the food came on. I enjoyed this entrée a lot, but I would like to try more parts of the menu as well. Service was also good here. The server and hostess were friendly and helpful. The bread it came with was so-so. Maybe it was too seasoned or premade(not sure), but the oil and seasonings to dip it in was tasty. I didn’t eat much of the bread. I also thought it was interesting how they«fusioned» Mediterranean with Middle East with Asian cuisines — pretty cool concept. Also made it more challenging to decide what to order :) I highly recommend this place. Would love to bring my fiancée here. Good place for a date as well.

We took a short road trip to Evansville last night and ended up coming home through Newburgh leading us to Café Arazu. The intimate atmosphere and décor set the mood perfectly for the type of food they offer– Mediterranean fair. My husband and I both ordered the kubideh and it came with two shish kabobs of lamb and beef, basmati rice, seasonal veggies, and tzatziki sauce. It was delicious and felt light and healthy! The prices were fair and the portions were more than enough. We will definitely be returning!

Locally owned Mediteranean restaurant. Food is good. I had the greek salad and soup of the day, which was a creamy kale potato. My husband had a cheeseburger, which he declares is the best in our area. The red potatoes, with alioli are delicious, and seasoned perfectly. Outdoor patio seating, which overlooks the mighty Ohio river

I can’t believe this place has been under my nose for so long and I’ve never seen it! Take it from someone who has been to every ethnic restaurant in Evansville, this is the best Mediterranean food in the area: hands down. I had the gyro which both juicy and savory with a side of some wonderful potato wedges served with a sauce you can’t go without. I also had some iced chai, a drink I’m always skeptical about when outside of an Indian restaurant, but it was actually very tasty. The service was also awesome with our server knowing every little thing about the dishes. Trust me, you have to give this place a try. I’ll definitely be back soon!
