AWESOMETACOS! My boyfriend and I are California natives where some of the best tacos in the world can be had outside of Mexico, and his moms house apparently. :) Moved to NY in May. Having had very disappointing experiences at every Mexican restaurant we’ve been to so far in upstate NY in our area I was thrilled to find this place. Finally! A place that serves as authentic a taco as one can ask in upstate NY. Yes it looks very low rent and it’s not in a great neighborhood, but I was desperate, and we enjoyed the tacos every time. So why the one star you might ask? Every time I went they were out of al pastor. They said. I’m a non Spanish speaking blonde haired blue eyed gringa. Everytime I’ve gone before by myself. The last time I went my boyfriend came with me. He is a six foot three tall very light skinned spanish speaking Mexican man who people often think is Italian. He was excited because finally they had al pastor. He could see it on the grill. He ordered in Spanish and was told they were out and that what he saw was chorizo. Ok. So, you order in one place and then you go pay at another. We came back after paying and waited for our tacos. A guy that ordered after us got his order and the waitress says to him in Spanish according to my boyfriend, ‘you had 5 al pastor tacos?’ To which replies ‘yes.’ The boyfriend tells me all this quietly, and so I sidled over to the guy and say, you having al pastor? He says yes, then the waitress, who overheard our exchange says ‘no! Chorizo.’ I look at him and say chorizo? He sheepishly nods yes. He knows I know they’re lying. WTF! Boyfriend says to me as were discussing this quietly between ourselves, still waiting for our order, maybe they run out and so they only serve it to the locals or regulars. The boyfriend is low key and non confrontational. That’s not me at all, but he doesn’t like a scene, so I refrain. But I’m busting out my Rosetta Stone spanish version I got for Christmas and lemme tell you what, when I get good enough, I’m going back. And it’s on! So needless to say I’ll be looking for another taco place.

This place is the real thing! The Mexican Tacos and Tortas are delicious! The price is awesome! I had a great dinner for $ 6.00 Can’t beat that ! While you are there you can also shop for great products from Latin countries. Love This place!

This is the closest you will get to Mexican tacos in this part of town! Very good, and plenty of options. Everything is made fresh and doesn’t take very long to get your food. My suggestion, try everything! If you’re looking for a fancy sit-down spot, this isn’t the place. Definitely a «hole in the wall» type spot, but don’t let appearances fool you!

Amazing authentic tacos, served the traditional way with onions and cilantro with a wedge of lime and some hot sauce on the side. They have beef, pork and chorizo; the tacos are served on fresh corn tortillas. Every time I come here I can never get enough of these wonderful tacos. The restaurant is situated in the back of the grocery store, the whole entire place is in a nice spanish neighborhood, maybe a little bit to the ghetto side, but that does not matter when there are tacos, that are good enough to die for. if you you do come here, make sure you know spanish, because no one speaks english here, it is all spanish

It’s probably one of the most successful local businesses in Newburgh. Great tacos, friendly service, in a cafeteria-style dining room — with the tortilla factory in back. Can’t go wrong!

Amazing, authentic tacos sold in the back of the grocery 5−10pm. $ 1.50 each!!! And so good, try the pork & chorizo. They are the kind of tacos you would get at a stand in Mexico with 2 soft corn tortillas, meat & topped w cilantro & onions with a container of hot sauce, limes & radishes on the side.
