I live in Newberg and frequently visit this shop. I’ve probably been to every antique store in the Portland metro area(honest) and this is one of my favorites. It’s the kind of shop where it is still possible to ‘make a find’! There is a wide selection and prices are often more reasonable than other shops. The owners name is Sharon and she is usually the one at the front desk. I recommend this place to my visiting friends. Wine Country Antiques is on 99W and next to the Newberg Carnegie Library(free wifi) and also the Chehalem Cultural Center. I’ll often pop into the Cultural Center to see if there is any interesting art on display, then off to the library, and finally into the Antique store for a quick peruse.(I also like the Pack Rat in Lafayette Oregon, about 5 miles West on 99W.)

Hands down… One of my favorite antique stores ever. It is curated well, the prices are excellent, and the hours here are better than many others. I bought a house in Newberg in February 2012 only 4 blocks away. My home is a 1910 craftsman that is 3x the size of my last house. When I moved to town I was immediately on the hunt for a relatively close antique store. Little did I expect to find this gem. Sharon, the owner is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Side note: I consider myself a very savvy antique buyer. Some of my earliest memories were endless hours at antique malls with my patents, fascinated by the history of so many forgotten objects. I only tell you this because my Mom, a true expert(most of her home is furnished by vintage finds, many she hand selected while in Europe) loves this place. And trust me this woman has taste. It is amazing to shop here with her. So in the 10 months I have been shopping here I have picked up 2 fiesta pitchers, a vintage suitcase, many angel food cake pans(for planting succulents), a vintage camera, a mid century Christmas tablecloth, a gold ceramic cowboy boot– one of my favorite finds ever, a wooden Christmas village and many other treasures. On more than one occasion I asked Sharon to re-tally my purchases because the price was two low, once I even offered to pay more because I was sure it was marked incorrectly, but Sharon never gives in to my backwards haggling. I love this charming shop, and if you enjoy antiques, you will too.

This is a favorite stop here now. I have certain items in particular I hunt down when I hit up these places. They’ve got my mother lode here. Chock full and reasonably priced items. Organized enough though heavy in inventory. I prefer that over too many of one kind of thing like knickity knacks. They’ve got a nice collection of different«stuff» to give you something to walk out of there with.
