The Safety building is done nicely in brick, and fits right in with the other Newberg downtown buildings. It’s off the main drag, a few blocs South, makes parking a bit easier. Need to pay a ticket? You can do that here… Need to pay a water bill? You can do that here too… Need to drop off your voting ballot? You can also do that here… Need to attend a public meeting? You can do that here also… I don’t usually hang out in Public Safety buildings much, I try not to get speeding tickets and I pay my bills on-line, but this time I was here for my daughter’s school event. She was picked to speak at the meeting. Her group’s idea on what to build in the vacant lot was represented to the town Mayor. It’s a project called Design Star, pretty cool I think! The meeting went well and the folks on the panel were nice and friendly to all the school kids presenting their ideas. Hopefully, I won’t have to come here on a ‘bad” note, the people that work here are nice and helpful though, great community!
