I don’t recommend this place. Food is mediocre and very oily. Place is very divey and staff isn’t friendly at all. Bad atmosphere which suits the people who go here. Divey place, divey people. Karaōke was awful, didn’t have any recent songs. Parking is a nightmare, long row of double parked cars in front of the place, on an already narrow street. Skip this place, plenty of places to go in the Ironbound!

I feel that the previous comments were pretty unfair.
I’m not Brazilians or Portuguese, and I would probably would have never got into this place if not for my (Brazilian) girlfriend who is a regular there along with most of her friends.
It can get a bit loud since it’s usually pretty full and there’s karaōke at night. But to me the sound of many people talking, laughing and having a great time in a casual atmosphere is a good thing.
You don’t need to dress up to come here, and from my experience (and I’ve been here many times) the staff and
and everyone there was always very friendly.
It does help to speak Portuguese or to be there with some who does but I managed to speak to the servers in English just fine.
The food is very good and has that Brazilian/​Portuguese home cooked feel that I always look for.
Basically a very happy, authentic place with good food.

This place is gives me the heeby jeebiez! My boyfriend brought me here randomly for lunch, FYI if you do not speak portuguese or Brazilian good luck trying to put in an order for food. The barmaids that work there are all clearly illegal which doesn’t bother me but what does bother me is the lack of attention to the other paying customers. These woman were literally throwing themselves at the older men sitting at the bar. Food was greasy and inexpensive which I guess makes for a good lunch spot? The atmosphere inside is dark and bit shady. All in all the place didn’t rub me the right way too many sheisty vibes, will not be returning.

This place is the worst place a person could spend time! Food is ok, but heavy and grease. Drinks you can find better around… Respect and Courtesy this doesn’t exist Barmaids doesn’t have a minimum respect with client, if you want enjoy a music or stay a while you can’t, they force you to leave. Disgusting!

A Brazilian restaurant/​bar/​karaōke bar
Atmosphere — The internal lighting is a little too dark with red colored walls and black ceiling. There’s a jukebox in which you can select songs to play, during the night it gets really loud because of the karaōke machine.
Food and Drinks — Wonderful! I’ve had the sangria and several other cocktails and they were delicious. They serve feijoada on Saturdays and Lasagne on Sundays both are very delicious. I’ve also tried their chicken parmasan and that was really good too.
Overall, i’d come here during lunchtime for a quieter bar atmosphere. Again, during the night it gets loud with drunk people singing badly at the karaōke machine but the drinks are pretty good, so if you don’t mind the noise then definitely check this place out.
