Great, cozy place with an awesome wood fire pizza oven. We had three pizzas — pepperoni, Mama Mia and the Arti with bacon. All were excellent, with the traditional pepperoni the big winner. Second was the Arti. Polite, attentive and FAST service. Traveled from Washington State to try this place… well, partly… It was worth the trip. Will be back soon. Much more to choose from.

The good: Pizza tastes great QUICK! Pizza is ready in 10 min or less. Friendly Service Clean The not so good: * Small Parking Lot. We’ve avoided going a few times because the lot is full. * Wish the crust was crispy. Great thin crust, and good flavor, just prefer the option to have it crispy.(Not a deal killer, because the pizza is very good) * $$$$ A bit expensive for the portion * Beer Selection. Add a few common beers to the niche craft selection. Maybe something on draft?

I’ve reviewed this restaurant before but I noticed my review vanished so I’m happy to post another one… This place is BYFAR the best pizza shop in Newark and one of the best pizza places I’ve ever tried. Mind you I lived my whole life in Northern NJ right outside of NYC so I can assure you I know what good pizza is. The crust is delicious, so is the sauce… the pizza is always cooked perfectly, and the quality of ingredients is exceptional. They’re constantly experimenting with new flavor combos and I try something new almost every time I go there. In addition, the shop is absolutely adorable and the owners have done a great job with branding. The staff is unbelievably friendly. I’ve brought countless people here, and every person I’ve brought has gone back. I could go on forever with saying good things about this place… If you live in Newark and haven’t tried WFPS yet, you should be very very angry at yourself ‘cuz you messin’ up(and you best be fixin’ that real quick). You’re welcome. …oh I should probably tell you that the hours are kinda weird so check their website before you go. The site is always perfectly up-to-date(I love this place.).

Menu is small but varies. They have daily recipes that have great variety. The quality and area was clean. I ordered 2 pizzas and they came out within 10 minutes. Super friendly staff too.

I found the food truck at Newark Natural Foods Co-op’s farmer’s market(Sundays: 10am-2pm). I’ve seen them before but I don’t eat pizza too often so I never bought anything; that was until today. I decided just to order a plain cheese(which is what I normally order if I have pizza any how) but I wanted to get a baseline of their flavors. I believe if someone can make a good cheese pizza(which is the foundation of most pizzas) then their other stuff might be worth checking out. The freshness of the pies was just awesome. The sauce was… yum, and there were layers of flavor; NOTGREASY! Also I think it’s cool you can watch them make the pizza and you can see they are using fresh ingredients. Friendly dudes and I will be going back to sample other things… I just wish I could buy a half a pizza or just a slice… a whole pizza just for me… it’s just too much.
