Very sad to see this restaurant close. I have been a customer to this restaurant from the beginning, when it was spice hut from the starting week. Very quality food and very affordable price. To be frank, though there are so many Indian restaurants come up in the last 10+ years around this place, this has been the best. Hopefully, they open up very soon around this place soon.

Went today to eat the restaurant was clean. Even at 8 pm the lights were not on and coming to food was alright not exciting the way I heard from people. The guy at counter was like a vending machine no greet no smile nothing. I think that the chef is not a South Indian. I wouldn’t recommend

Spice Kitchen has all the good things from when it was Spice Hut and then some! Food is yummy, especially the Keralite dishes. Portions are more than generous and everything is fresh and flavorful.

This place had better food and service when it was Spice Hut. Last couple visits have been disappointing. Menu selections have gone down, bathrooms are unclean, drinking water is now room temperature … Should I keep going? You won’t find me here again!

Great food. They give large portions. And the prices are incredible. We love going here.

Excellent food, big portions, small prices. Had the $ 5.99 Chicken Makhani and rice lunch special and a piece of my colleague’s Chicken Tandoori and everything was great. Fresh ingredients, cooked fresh, served hot. Service was fine and the restaurant was clean. Value leader of the area.

Meh nothing really special. I’ve definitely had better. However I must say staff was very friendly, establishment was clean and it’s very reasonably priced. Ok in a pinch but wouldn’t rave about it. Had the Tikka Masala.

I trued the tamarind rice with tomato curry chicken and chettinad chicken. I returned the tamarind rice since it was absolutely tasteless. It was tasting as if irs rice with some colour to it. The chettinad chicken was the worst of the lot. No taste at all. I left the currys which I dont often do. Dissatisfied with the food.

I came here today with my parents. I remember it was called spice hut but now it’s spice kitchen but regardless, I had a good experience. Love that they have patio seating(because we came with our little dog) and lots of seats inside too. Prices are reasonably and the staff was really nice. I would like to go more often since they have a nice variety of food. Today we ordered three combos(2 #1s and 1 #2): Idly: very soft and yummy 5⁄5 Vada: it was good 4⁄5 Dosa(plain and masalas): I like that they put the masalas on the side in a big cup. According to my parents the masala was good 4⁄5 and I liked the plain dosa(it was big) 5⁄5 Chutney: both were really good 5⁄5 Sambar: tasted good but it was too thick 3.5÷5 I guess all combos come with tea? Idk but the tea was yummy 4⁄5 Love their portion size! Their food is served in foam plates/cups/plastic utilsle but that’s expected because it is fast food. Will go their next time and order other items and update the review.

I liked the food here, I ordered the Asian noodles which were really good, the staff is pretty calm and friendly, I dont know how they could be rude to people lol, they seemed pretty passive and quiet, I came here with a couple friends and we all enjoyed it, the food isnt expensive so we all got a good helping of Indian food, I would come back again. the Mango Lassi was also pretty good and cheap ! :) I have an Indian friend who thought the food was high quality for its prices

I hired Spice Kitchen to cater my baby shower. They were one of the few places that offered meat along with their dosas for Indian onsite catering. My husband and I went for a tasting with Ram a few weeks before our event. I was thoroughly impressed with his professionalism and, most importantly, THEFOOD. We were BLOWNAWAY about how good everything tasted. Being Indian, the spice level and crispiness of the dosa was perfect! We asked Ram to adjust some flavors for the party and hoped for the best. On the day of the event(the true test!) his staff showed up and set up everything very quickly. They spoke perfect English and explained everything to my non-Indian guests better than I could. They were friendly, professional and very good at preparing the food. They both had a smile on their face the entire time and were happy to be there. My guests were floored by the food! The tandoori chicken was moist, samosas extra crispy and dosas(with fillings) were phenomenal. I’ve had many events(weddings etc) that I’ve had to plan and would highly recommend hiring Spice Kitchen for your next event. I know I will be using them again. I couldn’t be happier. Thanks to Ram and your staff!

I have increased the star rating because of consistent quality delivered in my recent visits. I have started liking the Chana Bhatura combo. As others also mentioned, there is 4 items combination is pretty cool deal. You can get one rice and three 3 items in less than 10. Each item including puffs has descent taste. Ambiance is above average if you consider its mostly fast food service. They have soda machines out which is hard to find in Indian restaurant :) Everyone loves refills in hot weather :) They also have ‘To go’ boxes/lids/bags out which is nice and you can help yourself for carry out leftovers!

Good for quick and inexpensive Indian food. They usually have a good variety of items and their service is again, just average. I highly recommend their malabar parantha and egg puffs! I have catered from them once and it was excellent.

Delicious curry. Be warned that this is fast food style. Some of the currys sit in trays over hot water to keep it hot. So on a slow day, you won’t know how long they’ve been sitting out there. It’s still good. The mutton curry is especially yummy. Be prepared to wait for it as they prepare it fresh. It’s worth the wait!

We’ve been getting take out from here for several years(back when it was Spice Hut and now that is is Spice Kitchen). Honestly don’t see any difference, which is fine. The main draw for us is the exceptionally affordable 3 or 4 item combos. One of those items always has to be rice. But they serve generous portions. We easily get two meals each for two people out of the 4 item combo. Food itself is tasty. Not the best Indian that I’ve ever had. And I’m by no means an expert on Indian food. My brother, who lived and worked in India for a year says it’s decent. My one concern is that it sometimes seems that they are inconsistent with the spice level of the food. The same dish can be wildly hotter than it was the last time you ordered it(or vice versa). But you really can’t beat the prices. Probably one of the best deals around.

If you are looking for good malayali/Kerala food at reasonable rates this is the place. Ambience: Like most indian restaurants, the ventilation isn’t great, so the place smells of curry. Food: Great malayali non veg dishes. Highly recommend the mutton biriyani and the fish curry both of which are very spicy!
