Amazing individuals, they are really nice and does an amazing job. Never failing to impress me! Definitely the only salon I enjoy going to. Nina does a really amazing job on my eyebrows, she never fails to satisfy my eyebrows. I’ve gotten my haircut from Mai and Hana. They both have done such a fabulous job with cutting my hair! Just telling them specifically what I want and providing a picture of something similar to the hair that I want is no problem. Tina on the other hand does a wonderful job on my nails. The ladies overall at this salon are so friendly and welcoming. They are always full of smiles and laughter. They do their jobs correctly and professionally. The can hold a conversation with you. Making an appointment is best recommended if you’re planning to dye your hair, due to the reasoning that it takes awhile to do.

Hana probably gave me on of the most beautifully done shellac manicure I have ever had! I came in here because my regular place was too busy so I decided to give this place a shot based on the Unilocal reviews. BTW, this is probably my 3^rd Unilocal review ever so the fact I’m making an effort really speaks to how good a job she did. The polish was not too thick, not too thin, no jagged edges or rough cuticles. #Lovely

This place is a hidden gem! Tried it for the first time today and this will be my new spot! AMAZING customer service. The ladies there were so down to earth and kind. Tina did my nails and she did them just how I asked! She is so kind and wants to please the customer. She urged me to correct her and let her know exactly what I wanted so she could do just that for me. Overall, I was so happy with my experience. I got a full set, coffin shaped, regular nail polish. Total of $ 25! Great price. This is my new spot for sure.

I came in to have my nails done two days before my wedding day. I’m so blown away by how well they took care of my nails. They were very diligent on making every effort to make my nails the perfect color and shape and I am very pleased with their expertise with nail art and ability to make my nails just beautiful. I will return!

I love Mai! She’s sooooo good at what she does! My husband worked around the corner from her and would go to her salon to get his haircut. When I couldn’t find anyone to replace my ever so favorite Daniella when I moved here from Jersey… he recommended I try her and boy was I happy to have found her!
I’ve moved away to Seattle and it’s been two years and still a challenge to find an excellent hair dresser. Well, I’ll be in SF next week and I’m hoping to stop by Ritz to get my hair cut and colored before I head back to the Pacific Northwest.

The only service I’ve received from this salon is eyebrow waxing. Let me tell you, my eyebrows are the most shapeless things ever. I’ve been looking for a good place to get my eyebrows waxed. I’ve gone to different ones and I always end up getting a rash because they tend to re-​apply soft wax on previously waxed areas (that is a no-​no.) The lady that did my brows applied smaller amounts and was able to shape my brows pretty well. I was satisfied, but my eyebrows are a little uneven (naturally), like one has an arch and one doesn’t. Hoping they could make it less obvious but amazing work nonetheless. I would definitely go back, price is so reasonable!!!

It’s so wonderful in this place, when I has an eyelashes extention. Thu’s the ladies work in this place make my eyes look more incredible. The prices it fit to me, please go in 1 time and you will love that, she’s doing good job, and your eyelashes can stay for at least for 2 month between touchup, also the clue does’nt bother to you, try it and you can see.

Mai did a fantastic job on my hair highlights and toning last ⁶⁄₂₀₁₄.

Do not go here fot a gel french manicure… the lady who did my nails messed up terribly! The white tips were uneven and jagged at the bottom. She said that another lady who worked there took her brush that worked great. Ok well if you need a new brush, get one instead of messing up my nails! I do not reccommend this place for gel manicures.

Men, if you guys need a perfect cut go to this place. Best place I’ve been to and trust me I’ve been to almost every salon/​barber in the east bay. Look for Mai, she’s the best. Very nice people in this salon too!

Mai is so good at doing initial consultation and analyzing your hair and your needs that one can close their eyes during the whole hair cut and you know she will ensure you look good.
$ 18 is deal compared to the hair cut I received. Last time I got this awesome a hair cut, a guest stylist, flown in from Jordan, charged anywhere up of $ 100 (as per his wish) for a layered hair cut.
I had seen a very beautiful layers on super long blond hair girl working at Washington Hospital and she referred me here. Perhaps the best place EVER for a hair cut.

This review is for Nina’s eyebrow waxing.
Nina has never done me wrong. Seriously, she is great at what she does. At a completely reasonable $ 10 price, she turns caterpillars into butterflies. I once had my eyebrows down by another place closer to my home (it cost more money) and I hated the results. Never will I make that mistake again.
The best is that Nina even remembered me after my first visit! Now, it’s like seeing a friend whenever I go there. I’ve even taken other people when they are in town and they all looked amazing afterwards. She even waxed and trimmed my guy friend’s eyebrows into a manly, but clean look. He didn’t come across feminine at all. I think he was impressed and his wife certainly loved the look.
I have only ever made 1 appointment before. I typically just walk in (around 5pm or 6pm on a weekday or 2pm on a saturday) and have never had to wait more than 5 minutes for Nina to see me. I have also had a lip waxing by Nina before a wedding. That was just as good.
Just to note: There is a minimum to pay with a credit card, but I cannot recall how much it is right now. And they are not open on Sundays.

I am not from the area and was having a hard time finding a place to do my eyebrows for New Year’s Eve. Needless to say, I loved Nina and her work so much that I had to write my first review in her honor. She took her time, was very personable (no awkward moments). She even filled in my brows with powder when she was done; not sure if this is typical but I told her I found her online and I think she got excited :) awesome experience I’ll be back if I’m ever in the area

Being going to Tina and Mai for the past 15 years… great ladies and they do a wonderful job! Worth the drive from Livermore.

I love this place. Mai is my go to for when I get my haircut, and she does a wonderful job. She listens to what you want, and gives small suggestions when needed. She knows what she’s doing. Plus it’s inexpensive.

My sister-​in-​law introduced me to this place! Close to home and CHEAP! I see Nina for eyebrow waxing, and Mai does my kid’s haircut as well and throws in a lollipop or 2 for him. They are super friendly to me and my family. And Nina knows you by your first name and can give you the low down on what’s happening in her social circle! All the ladies there are total sweethearts and that’s why I keep coming back to them :)

wow so I’ve been going here for years but never thought to Unilocal it until now. I love this place. The ladies are super duper friendly and all have been mispronouncing my name since I met them but I let it pass. It’s Saba, not Soba. I always ask for Mai when I call, and she always remembers who I am, even though it may have been months or even a year since I was there.
I’ve gotten tons of hair cuts with her, and a really pretty updo for a birthday. By far the absolute best thing I’ve gotten done is chemical hair straightening. Now, I have really curly hair. Like curly curly curlyyyyyy hair. and it’s thick and insanely hard to manage. It took Mai and an assistant 6 HOURS to chemically treat my hair. They were so nice the whole time, gave me magazines to read and cookies to munch on. By the end of it they were exhausted but my hair looked fabulous. It’s meant to only last 6 months but I stretched it out to 10 months with excessive straight ironing. Now my hair is fried and wavy so I’m going back tommorrow to get my hair straightened all over again. Ready or not Mai, here I come!

So this place is not a fancy shmancy full service salon with wine and coffee, but the people are very decent. I’ve been going to them for a couple of years now. I’ve gotten my hair cut there, pedicures, manicures, waxes and because I am so lazy I usually go there to get my hair washed and styled. The nice thing is that I can usually get all of it done for under a 100.00. This is a coming from a Visual Image client and Visual Image clients know that a haircut is about 75.00 to start with, but of course all worth it!
Anyway, let me tell you about the Nina who does the waxes and pedicures. When Nina waxes, she rarely has to pluck afterwards. She’s got some magic hands. When she does my pedicures, they usually last for about two months. She’s one of the best people out there who does waxing and pedicures!
Overall, great place. I’m all about trendy and cool, and Ritz Hair and Nails are above cool and trendy!

This is the ONLY place I go to for eyebrow waxing. Know this — I have never gotten anything else there but waxing, so my review is only for that.
It’s reasonable ($ 10), and she makes my eyebrows look incredible. I always get compliments right after I get them done because they’re so perfect. I never have an appointment, and she always seems to squeeze me in. Don’t worry — you can trust her to not screw up your brows.

So I ended going back like the week after I wrote the review. Walking down memory lane really made me miss Tina. It’s been a long 2 years since I’ve seen her! When I got there, I didn’t think she’d remember me. Boy was I wrong! They ALL remembered me and welcomed me back! And damn did that place get busy? She was booked for the whoooole day, but she said she’d try to squeeze me in if I didn’t mind her shuffling back and fourth for a bit. I didn’t! (Make an appointment people, it’s getting packed there!!) So in the beginning her co-​worker helped take off the nail polish I currently had on. Then 15 minutes later, Tina came back to work on me.
I love this place! Great customer service! I love that they know everyone that comes in by name! She did great! I’m coming here soon to do my hair too!
