The only reason they didn’t get the last star is the constant sales pitch. They tell me they have to tell me all that could go wrong with my 10 year old garage door. I know, I know I’ll sign anything you want just stop elevating my anxiety level. I was waiting for«if you don’t get a new door the world will END». Other than that the service is quick and efficient.

I asked Precision for a quote to replace a garage door spring. While they were able to quickly get someone out to look at it and provide a quote, it was quite clear their priority was to up-sell me to additional services and unnecessary work. They also charged a $ 55 fee to simply provide a quote, which they did not disclose when I booked the appointment. While it’s clearly a good product, I don’t feel good about their business approach.

Awesome service on a garage door on my home in Montgomery county. Does not service Philadelphia«For obvious reasons». I had to find someone else to work on my Philadelphia property. So disappointed.

Great work, but at a price! I recently had a spring break on one of my garage doors, and it bent the track slightly on the next time back up, so I needed to get someone fast as the door was stuck halfway open. I called Precision and they had a technician at my house within the hour. The cost for a basic service call was $ 89. The guy was knowledgeable and initially proposed replacing all the springs, pulleys and rollers to the tune of over $ 700(on special!). Frankly I didn’t spend a lot more than that on the door when it was installed! So I asked what the minimum I could do would be, and to just replace the springs was $ 189 plus $ 90 for new safety cables. The technician explained that their springs were of much higher quality than the ones you get at home depot for $ 40. I really had no choice so I went with his minimum recommendation and in less than an hour the work was complete and everything cleaned up. In addition, the tech also replaced several of my worn-out pulleys for free with some extras he had in the truck. His work attaching all the cables was very neat. Paying the bill of over $ 400 including tax was a shock but the door works very smoothly now.

One of the brackets supporting our garage door springs became detached on a Friday, and our usual garage-door service couldn’t make it ’til Monday, so I picked Precision out of the Yellow Pages. They promised to stop by on Saturday afternoon. In fact, the guy showed up more than an hour earlier than scheduled — mainly a good thing, but I’d rather he had called before coming(we weren’t home when he got here). He was friendly and quickly figured out how to solve our problem. The work went fine, and he charged less than I expected(basically, just the cost of showing up). He didn’t really clean up, though; significant plaster dust was left on my garage floor. Precision is a franchise, so I don’t know how other locations would compare. But judging from this initial service, we wouldn’t hesitate to use our local Precision service again.
