I would rate this 100 stars if I could. I order a calzone from here at least once a week, sometimes twice. And it is delicious. The main issue I have is that there doesn’t seem to be any consistency with size. It’s quite a gamble, especially if you’re going to spilt one with someone… Not that I ever do, but people at work do that all the time.(Sometimes is swear it’s half the size of previous one I’ve ordered) Regardless of the size issue, it’s always delicious. They don’t deliver unless it’s to a business, but I live right down the road so that isn’t too inconvenient for me. I’m delighted to see there are several other locations so usually I can get it no matter where I’m at. If you’re looking for a new pizza place to try, or you’re from a place that doesn’t have pizza cottage, give this a try. You won’t be upset. Order a calzone and give yourself a nice pat on the back for listening to my review.

Great pizza! Good ol pepperoni cheese pizza is awesome… I can eat it until I’m about to pop… if you get a pie with lots of ingredients, like all other places, they load it up and it tends to be to much for center cuts. Nothing pellet style, pre canned processed, or sub par so far as toppings. The«steak sub«is a kind of Italian long burger if you will, very good, but still a burger. We like the wings fresh for dine in, and friendly staff always takes care of us. If you want a pitcher of beer, this place is good for that as well. Definitely come here before you go to a «chain» pizza place, the original store is on 79 in buckeye lake, the Newark location is just as good.

Good casual Friday night pizza. It’s what you would expect with a pizza place. They have good options of specialty pizzas but my husband and I opted for the chefs salad and a pepperoni and sausage pizza. They have different crust options and they ingredients tasted fresh. Our waitress was pleasant and great at refilling drinks when needed, always appreciated.

Great pizza, clean restaurant, friendly staff. The pepperonis curl(my favorite), the breadsticks are the best I’ve ever had, the BLT pizza is also phenomenal. I’ve been visiting this place for years and I’ll continue for years to come.

Food is great, I suggest take out only. They seemingly only employ 17 – 21 female wait staff. These girls almost always on their phones, or standing around talking to each other rather than working. Their food runners will come out of the kitchen looking like they got more food on them then in the ovens. These issues are unique to this location, the store in Buckeye Lake and Pickerington suffer the same issues. The food is great. You pay a premium for the pizza, but you get a premium product at least. Salads are good as well.

We stopped for a late supper last Saturday night about 8:30 p.m., we were surprised but there were only a few people there. We were promptly waited on and or drink order was filled. Ordered a 14″ pepperoni pizza. Our order arrived in good time. This is a thin crust pizza, which is what we like. The pizza was great! The pepperoni is about ¾ of an inch in size and had a nice spicy taste to it like you frequently found 30 years ago, not so much anymore. This type of pepperoni does come with more grease, just like it use to. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. Will definitely stop the next time we are in Newark!

I want to start my review by saying that I have been a very long time customer of the pizza cottage, and have never had an issue until recently. I’m a huge fan of the pizza, and until recently, I thought that they had the best spaghetti and meat sauce in the Newark/Granville area. It’s not unusual for me to order the spaghetti w/meat sauce 4 – 8 times a month, yes that’s 2 times a week. Recently I’ve picked up my takeout order, and when I opened it at home, there was very little sauce and next to no meat(in the«meat» sauce). I’ve felt like unless I asked them to make sure that there was enough sauce, I would get the watered down ketchup and pasta? I feel terrible about giving them such a low score, but the truth is the truth. I hope this helps them realize that they can’t cut back on the quality, and still be open next year?

I LOVE their BLT and Hawaiian pizzas! Their pizza compares the closest to Adornetto’s, which is sadly no longer in the area. Some reviewer compared it to Donato’s and I just don’t taste it, «see» it maybe. The crust is a little thicker, the pepperoni way better and thicker – more rustic, and the sauce is spicier and less chef boyardee ;). And yes I like Donato’s too, but their company used to be(still is?) ran by McDs and the quality of their products reflect it. I will say sometimes I’ve gotten their pizza here and it’s a little too greasy on the bottom for my liking, but it’s pizza at a pizza chain so I get a bit too much grease now and then. The drive thru at this location is a plus, BUT if there’s anyone in front of you I suggest getting out and going in. I wish pizza places with drive thrus would make people get out of the line if their food is not done! My food has always been done on time, I just have to go in and get it sometimes. There are a lot of teenagers working here, and they can get confused sometimes, but I’ve never been treated rudely and, really, it’s places like this our 16 year olds and college students should be working at so… Overall I really like their food, the BLT is incomparable(we’re talking about a thick layer of real bacon!), and there’s overall few inconsistencies.

Tried it the other night for the first time and it was really good. The only thing was it was extremely greasy! Other then that, the thin crust is awesome! It is a little overpriced as well. They deliver to businesses only and wish they would extend that offer to residential customers.

Pizza is good but not great. Sadly, my ham and cheese sub was a water logged disappointment, covered with so much mayo it was almost inedible. They only deliver to businesses but have a convenient drive through. It is very over priced as well. This is about the fifth time I’ve been here and I am disappointed each time. The food is just sub par. Not enough to keep me coming back.

Thin crust pizza appeal to you? If so, their pizza is AWESOME! Have had just cheese, and/or pepperoni — both are great. Also ordered pizzas that were loaded up with toppings… They pile them high! Draft beer selection isn’t all that exciting but I’ll suffer through because the pizzas are so delicious. :)

It’s nice to see Pizza Cottage extending their brand, but the original in Buckeye Lake is the best for atmosphere. The newer locations are pretty plain, not much going in there. One Unilocaler said it best, resembles a high school cafeteria lol. Beer options are typical domestic, not a big fan of that. The food at this location from subs and salads to the pizza is all delicious, and consistent with all locations. That’s great to see! This location is very accomodating for large groups which is a nice touch, will not find that in the Buckeye Lake original location. In any case, although I absolutely love Pizza Cottage(probably my favorite thin crust pizza on the planet) I have had a couple issues in ordering for pickup. Both cases my pizza was not ready at the time given, had to wait even longer, heck one time they forgot about me all together! The only good thing is that management was very accommodating, provided free pizza coupons. I respect a place and management that puts the customer first…

I order from PC in Buckeye Lake frequently when at work. The food at this location is the same. They are very consistent. That being said, I find their pizza to be overrated. The toppings are very good but I find their crust to resemble cardboard more than anything else. Their subs are very good especially the Ruthie’s Way(steak sub) and the PLT(pepperoni, lettuce and tomato). The atmosphere resembles a high school cafeteria as its a big rectangular room with tables, that’s pretty much all there is to it. It’s not aesthetically pleasing. I understand it’s just a pizza place but it’s a building they designed and built for this reason. It would have been nice had they stuck to the theme of the Buckeye Lake location. All in all it’s a good place to take the family now and again or to stop by for a reasonable lunch special.

I’ve been to Pizza Cottage twice. Both times, the food was delicious and the service was great! The pizza is amazing! I ordered the«all the way» pizza which has pepperoni, sausange, onion, green peppers, and mushrooms. It comes on thin crust(unless you specify you prefer a different type of crust) and is unbelievably good. The only thing I didn’t like is that they cut the pizza into squares…(which I’m sure they could cut into pie slices if you request it). I also ordered a salad for an appetizer. I was able to order a ½ portion of the Italian salad fir $ 3.99(instead of it’s normal large size for $ 5.99). It had provolone cheese, pepperoni, mild pepper rings, tomatos and whichever dressing you like. I was hoping for a salad more like Adornetto’s(down the street)…but I supposed if I wanted that… I could’ve gone to Adornetto’s instead. hehe! The garlic bread with cheese was good also. I’ll go back. I’m kind’ve partial to Adornetto’s in Newark as my ultimate favorite. But I’ll certainly go back to Pizza Cottage in the future.

My review is a little mixed, I really wish I could rate different parts separately to reflect how I really felt about eating here. The facility and staff are great. The facility is pretty new so it’s very nice and modern with many LCD TVs to view from every direction. The staff was friendly and top notch. We got a Pepperoni and Sausage pizza and I loved everything but the sauce. Have you ever ordered an appetizer and get the marinara sauce that is a little chunky, like a mild version of salsa? The sauce was very similar and had a sweetness that seemed out of place. It wasn’t that bad when it was mixed with rest of the pizza but when eaten alone(crust edge), it just had an average taste. It was very different than almost any other pizza sauce I could remember. Maybe it was just something to do with how it was cooked? I am not sure. It pizza wasn’t good enough(to me) to give it 4 stars, but I would rate the rest of the company a 5. If I was you, I would give it a shot to see how you like it.
