There was a response to my comment indicating: «When our Production Manager arrived at the home, it was determined that the job could not be installed as sold.» This was AFTER everything stated in my prior comment occurred. This was not on the occasion when they were supposed to come and failed to show up. It is also interesting that a sales rep came out to our home twice before this, one year prior and then again a few weeks prior to the production manager coming out and never were we told we would need to separately hire a carpenter to come out, nor were we told that the project could not be completed as discussed. In fact I asked during the meeting with the sales rep when he was discussing work that would needed to be done behind the stairs what would happen with the stairs, and he said they would be removed and put back in. We also discussed the scope of the project with the sales rep that came out and were told it could be done. There was then a second comment made: «Due to financial constraints, the homeowner decided not to proceed with the job as necessary to solve their water problem.» We had several reasons for not pursuing the job, including what I have previously mentioned about our experience with this company. As far as financial reasons, we are planning to sell our home and did not want to spend more than a certain amount on this project as we had other projects we were planning to complete as well. We had a lengthy discussion with the sales rep in our home about what we wanted to do as far as repairs to our home prior to sale, and how this worked into our budget and what we wanted to spend. We were then given a quote we could work with and discussed the scope of the project with their sales rep so it would work with that budget. We even had an appointment for that work to be completed. Had we been advised of the true cost and scope of the project at the outset we could have determined if we wanted to forego another project and do this one, but at the point when we were learning all this it was after the fact and the whole experience just turned us off to the whole project.

We had water problems in our basement for years, to the point where it was basically unusable. We had several companies give us estimates and Mid Atlantic wasn’t the cheapest, but seemed to offer the most complete solution. I also had the recommendation of a co-worker that was pleased with the job they did at his house years ago. Bottom line, they came in when they promised, did what they said they would do, completed the job ahead of schedule, and we haven’t had a drop of water in the basement since. Overall, I couldn’t be happier and now have a whole basement to use!

Be aware, this company WILLLIE to you. They are not forthcoming with information and will waste your time. I’m surprised at how unprofessional this company was. We saw this company at the Philadelphia Home Show and we scheduled for them to give us an estimate on waterproofing our basement and when they arrived, they refused to do an inspection or provide an estimate because all the parties which live in the house weren’t present! The woman who scheduled us was pleasent enough, yet never asked if both parties could be home at that time. The gentleman who called to confirm the day prior never asked if both parties would be home. Only once the estimator was sitting in our living room did they then state that they would not provide us with an estimate without both parties present. Even when told that the other party could be home in 20 minutes, the estimator didn’t care and he left. When we called the man in the office proceeded to LIE to us and said that HE told us this when we scheduled and on the phone the day before. How could both of us misunderstand something like this? What is the purpose of this?! I have spoken with other people in other service industries who provide free estimates, none of them require two parties to be present for an estimation. Don’t waste your time with this company.
