Dave’s Engine Machining

I have a ’71 Firebird that had undergone a rebuild at a San Jose shop but the rebuild was horrible (1 qt of oil per 250 miles). At my wits end, I asked around and Dave’s was recommended. I spoke with Dave and Angie and they took on my project. They discovered mistakes made by the prior shop and set out to do a rebuild correctly. They advised me on cams, pistons, etc. to beef up the engine a bit. They were always upfront with recommendations and communication. I really felt that they were partners with me on the rebuild.
The build went great… dyno’d the engine at 350hp and 400 ft/​lb torque! The car runs great and is everything I wanted out of the rebuild. Angie and Dave are awesome and would definitely use them again.

Excellent service and superb work. The attention to detail is top notch. It doesn’t get better than Dave’s. We’ve had an engine bored, honed and decked, as well as, re-​surfaced cylinder heads.
