Colour Roxx Salon & Spa

I absolutely have to RAVE about Cori with Colour Roxx. I have been fantasizing about white hair for more than a year and finally decided to pull the trigger yesterday. My aunt referred me to Cori and I booked an appointment to coincide with my holiday visit. When Cori and I first met she was very informative about the brown-​to-​white process and wanted to be as realistic as possible with me. The odds of going from my natural color to pure white in one day were not great and above all else she was concerned with maintaining the health of my hair. However, Cori was also open to giving it her best shot and when my hair responded really well to being bleached (no breakage, yay!) she was able to lift it to a nearly pure white! I was ecstatic! She spent over four hours carefully bleaching and toning my hair so I could have the color I wanted! Words cannot express how happy I am with my hair and how grateful I am that Cori went out of her way to make my dream a reality! Thank you so much!

I made sure that I was with somebody who has experiences with thick dark hair.
And I wanted my hair quite bright and without my knowledge they bleached my hair.
and put the color on.
I was afraid that I needed to keep doing so, but they said it will be okay if I come back in a month. So I did, and they told me that my hair growth is faster than they thought so they need to see me every 3 weeks.
I believed them until I found another salon where I was told that they could have ripped me off, because the color I chose does not need to be bleached nor need to be cared in every 3 week.

I came in as a new customer with hair that was half way down my back with a set plan: long bob with a subtle ombré. My hair is black and I wanted an ombré dyed to a caramel brown. I also wanted my hair cut to a long bob that was just above my shoulders. My appointment was with their junior stylist Amelia. I explained everything to her and she agreed with the plan; however, that is not what she did. She first cut my hair so that it was the «long bob». The cut she gave me was asymmetric and just above my shoulders. I pointed out the asymmetry to her and she informed me that she would fix it once the coloring part was done. we agreed to ombré to about ¾ up on my hair. She then proceeded to foil ombré my black hair. She went ¾ up on one side of my head, but went almost to my scalp on the other. When I pointed out how high she was going, rather than fixing it she just responded with «oh, yeah i see that». I didn’t know it, but she was bleaching my hair during this process. I have very thick hair. While she was foiling, I could tell she had underestimated how much dye to mix and how many foils she would have to do. Half way through foiling I noticed she no longer foiled each individual piece she was dying — instead, she would just stack it on top of a previously dyed piece and go directly on there. Again, I pointed this out without any response. When she washed the dye out, I could tell she was panicking. She didn’t show me, but I looked at some strands and saw how bleached she had made me. I looked like a skunk. She then hurried to get toner to fix it. AFter the horrible dye job, she started cutting and fixing the asymmetry in my hair. In the end I ended up with VERY short bob that was not even at all. To «fix the bulk» she took thinning shears to my ends in a half-​hazard way and that was it. I left the salon mortified but I had already been there for 3 hours and didn’t have the energy or the will-​power to stay and get it fixed.
I ended up spending $ 131 on a cut and color that I never even wanted and now I don’t have the money to afford a re-​dye at another salon to get it fixed, nor do I have enough hair left on my head to get a cut that works. She cut off over a foot of my hair. It was a horrible experience.

I really wanted to love this place. I made an appointment over the phone with Abbey because I had read such wonderful things here online. When I got there I was greeted by a women and looking back she never introduced herself (my fault for not asking her name). When my cut was finished and I was at the front another women was waiting in the lobby and Abbey came out and introduced herself as her stylist! At that point I asked for my stylists name, only to find out she was a junior stylist. She then hurried me out, obviously embarrassed they had been caught. I later had to go to a different salon to get the cut fixed because it was badly diagonal across the back. If you want to make an appointment here and have never been make sure to ask your stylist name/​ask for a business card BEFORE getting in the chair.

Not until I met Abbey my stylist did I know what kind of amazing looks my hair could have. She has transformed my look and I love it. She gets the «busy mom who still wants to look good» thing! The staff is welcoming and the facility is simply designed to focus on the client.

Abby cuts my hair at Color Roxx. She is a perfectionist and very conscientious. My hair has never looked as good ever. She trims my mustache so that it is perfectly symmetrical and each hair is the same length. Abby is very sociable and easy to talk to. She makes getting a haircut a most pleasant experience. I enjoy my short visits with her and get a great haircut too.

Tina did a great job with my hair! She noticed the problems I’ve had in my haircut caused by other stylists and corrected them. The cool thing was I didn’t mention any of the problems to her. I just told her what I wanted and as she worked on me she’d mention one problem or another. I take that as a sign of a well-​versed professional; someone who knows her craft.
This was my first visit, and I’m not in the area often, so that’s why a 4-​star rating. I think this is a 5-​star place but I want a couple more visits to judge better.

I moved to Delaware from Texas & was having trouble finding a great salon until now. Abbey is my stylist & she is truly awesome. Abbey is an Australian & young, but quite the perfectionist. I normally have guys cut & color my hair as never had great luck with a woman stylist, but Abbey really does a great job. Abbey always takes great care of me and she is a genuinely sweet girl that will indeed make you pretty if your a woman… or handsome if you’re a guy. :)

This salon is one of the best. My stylist, Heather, is one of the best in the industry. They offer so many services and have a relaxing atmosphere. Check them out!
