This is an example of human beings and technology blending poorly together. What a terrible terrible experience. The staff were confused and bickering. The customers were unclear where to order and befuddled when they were asked to go pay elsewhere. Even check out software was flawed and confused and confusing. I have seen more orderly processions happening during fire drills versus what’s going on here. What a hot mess of a place. Overpriced and not worth it.

I’m super confused but here goes. Unlike the other reviews I had a really good experience. I ordered the egg ham and cheese and it was pretty good. The service was quick even though there was a massive line and hordes of people. I don’t know but it was fine for me. I ordered through the iPad, placed my order paid at the self serve cashier and made my way to my gate. Maybe I just went on a good day?

What a dreadful breakfast I had on Saturday! How do you ruin Bacon, Egg & Cheese on English Muffin? Just ask the staff at Casciano’s. Burnt muffin, cremated bacon, crispy egg; I never could discern any cheese in it. For this I shelled out $ 9.00! Never again. I’d have been better off if Burger King were still in place. I would have spent half that amount for something mediocre but far more edible.

Overpriced, even by airport standards.(I’m a frequent flyer…30+ countries.) food was burned. Service was slow. Servers were snarly. This looks like a good place, and I don’t mind paying $ 11 for a sandwich, but you are actually getting ripped off. Wait for the food on the plane; it is cheaper and better.

Sandwich was legit on paper. I got the«Town Hall». Coleslaw, roast beef, Turkey, garlic mayo… Like I said good on paper, as soon as I tried to eat it, it blew up into a million pieces.

I should have chosen to die of starvation instead. It would have been less painful than the heartburn that this place left me with. I oredered the«Jackson» Which translated equals 3 slices of unremarkable white bread a few slices of lim bacon, cold tomato slices and American cheese. $ 10.50 for that? ! Really? I mean I understand that it’s airport food but this is just awful.

Yikes. I knew I should have steered clear of Casciano’s when I saw its 1.5-star rating on the Unilocal app. Unfortunately, based on my appetite at the time, it looked like the most appealing restaurant option inside Terminal C(near Gates C70−99) at Newark Liberty International Airport. And of course, being in New Jersey, how could one go wrong with an Italian specialties restaurant? Very wrong, apparently. We were looking for something to eat for lunch and I was drawn to Casciano’s sandwich menu. It appeared they had some good stuff when it came to meats(e.g. prosciutto, Genoa salami, meatballs, mortadella, soppressata, capicola), cheeses(e.g. fresh mozzarella, provolone), and breads(e.g. semolina hero, sesame roll, potato bread). There were over a dozen different sandwiches priced at $ 10.00 to $ 11.50 each. We also had the option to build our own sandwich. Ordering was done via touchscreen. We ordered one Godfather($ 11, roast beef, buffalo mozzarella, tomato, garlic butter gravy, sesame hero) and one Italian($ 11, prosciutto, buffalo mozzarella, marinated eggplant, preserved tomato, pesto, sesame hero). BLECH. Despite being made to order, both sandwiches were very cold, hard, dense, salty, and simply not very good. From bread to meat, the only ingredient I thought was any good was the buffalo mozzarella and even then, it wasn’t great. I don’t know what was up with the ingredients. Everything tasted old, like leftovers that had been stored in a fridge past their expiration date. I’m not picky when it comes to eating and I’m actually pretty tolerant of mediocre to sub-par food. These sandwiches were worse than that. My girlfriend took one, two bites at most, of her Italian and immediately set it down and went back to the food court in search of something else. I, not wanting to waste food, tried to eat her sandwich and realized why she opted to trash it instead. It was awful. As a fan of eggplant, I found the eggplant in the Italian to be ice cold and borderline repulsive. I wasn’t able to finish either sandwich notwithstanding my attempts to force myself to. Service was fine. There was a nice man assisting folks with the touchscreen ordering devices. We waited about 10 – 12 minutes for our order. There was a line and only two people working behind the counter preparing sandwiches. Payment was handled at self-checkout kiosks. If you’re looking for food in this part of the airport, you’re probably better off going to the burger joint, pizza joint, or the Vietnamese sandwich shop(Vo Banh Mi) nearby.

We had the Casciano The Bird sandwiches at EWR and they were the best chicken salad sandwiches on a hard roll that we have ever bitten into! Please send me the recipe. It is impossible to get decent east coast style Italian food anywhere west of the Missouri. LeftinTucson

Had to wait 20 minutes for a $ 10 chicken parm sandwich that lacked taste except for the char from being incinerated in the convection oven. Lady at the cash register was happy and polite. The other three persons behind the counter making the food were completely disinterested in their tasks and moved so slow I had to check and see if I had taken the wrong meds this morning. Too bad you can’t give less than one star because that’s what they deserve.

Shittiest bagel of my life. After writing this review, I need to figure out a way to report them. Stale bagel sour cream cheese. Yuckyyyyyyyyyy Paid $ 10 for 2 bagels with cream cheese. Thought we should try«NY» bagels. I feel like throwing up now. *DONTEATHERE*

Save your $ 10 and starve. Srsly not worth. I don’t really know how you can mess up a heated-up sandwich — even Panera can do it with thousands of stores. The people here are sooo slow, especially for working in an airport. I had the Skinny, which was a bunch of fattening(albeit kind of healthy) ingredients, but it tasted like a leftover sandwich brought home from a public high school. I know I have to give it some slack for being an airport restaurant, but … really, avoid if you can.

I won’t mention the ridiculous prices — it is an airport resto after all. However, for the price, you’d expect some decent service. There were a bunch of ladies that are more interested in chatting among themselves than providing proper service. Preparing the food involves taking an already prepared aluminum-wrapped sandwich from stack and putting it in an oven. As you can imagine, it tasted like left-over.

Stay away! The worst breakfast sandwich I’ve had, and it cost $ 9! We had a layover in Newark airport and wanted to grab a quick bite. My husband’s sandwich was cold(they premade everything and just heat it up) and mine just tasted horrible! Check out other options. Very poor quality food(seriously how difficult is it to make a breakfast sandwich) for too much money.

Ok I admit I did not get the sandwich here but took a bite from my friend. The soprano had a crispy bun which I liked a lot. Very long line, and a long wait for food itself as well.

Great storefront in the new Newark Airport United terminal, with high tech displays to enter orders, good menu board, and great pastry section. I ordered The Belt breakfast sandwich on toasted whole grain bread, which is a bacon, tomato, lettuce, and fried egg sandwich. I’m not sure if this can be ordered with mayo, but it’s too dry, and if you’re a calorie counter, this would work well for you. I am not watching calories as much as I want to truly enjoy what I eat, and this was too dry and the bacon was bacon but somewhat tasteless. The fried egg and sandwich overall needed a lot of salt and pepper seasoning. The coffee is a good full bodied italian roast. I will likely return to try something else, as they do have a lot of interesting items on their menu, both for breakfast and for lunch.

This place can’t get out of its own way! It has tons of workers, none of which are doing anything. It has new iPads to order from; none of which seem to work worth a darn. This is my second time trying to get a bagel from this place and it takes more than 10mins to do so. It is comical and slightly entertaining to watch the minions behind the counter ask what I ordered from their iPad over and over again and the proceed to bump into each other as they frolic about looking for something that I’m not sure has anything to do with a bagel… So I guess there’s that.

If you are in any kind of hurry, at least for a morning flight, skip it. After ordering, people were waiting over 25 minutes. Ridiculous. The operation is horribly run. When we finally got our food, we noticed the salad was missing. Unfortunately we didn’t notice a breakfast sandwich was missing until we got on the plane. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. You’ve been warned.

You’re going to have very few choices in the Houston Airport for snacking, but keep on walking past this one. IPad ordering is the norm throughout the airport, but descriptions of the food and pricing are not readily available. Olives and pasta were mushy, sandwiches were overdressed, and blah. I’d have had better luck at McDonald’s.

Meh, ok, for airport food. Small portions and overpriced but not horribly bad. The girl at the cashier needs some customer service training. No acknowledgement of my presence and hardly a thank you.

Like most other airport establishments, this is over-priced and the food looks better than it tastes. Once I ordered my food and started eating, I was wishing I had picked something else or ordered fast-food. I thought it was difficult to screw up pizza, but I got a calzone with mushroom, spinach, and peppers, and maybe it was my fault that I tried to go with a «healthier» option that didn’t have cheese instead of picking a greasy piece of pizza. This was like what I imagine cardboard tasting like — dry and flavorless. Even dumping on the marinara sauce didn’t really help. I got a salad too, which was just mixed greens dumped in a bowl, plus your choice of tortellini salad or some meat /mozzarella salad. Over-priced? Yes. Edible? Barely. I won’t be coming back here again. Your results may vary, but I’ll be checking out the rest of the mediocre options in Terminal C next time.
