Birardi Imports

This is a great Italian specialty shop with a wide variety of items. They import products from Italy. It offers items like prosciutto, pastas, roasted artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, salami, mozzarella, coffee, cheese, candy, and even Italian cleaning items.
The staff are very friendly and never rush you. Prices for cheeses are great which they will grate for you. I buy espresso by the case in the foil vacuum bags for less than anywhere else around. They also sell espresso machines and parts.
The street is one way, so you have to plan your arrival from the south side of the block. There is almost always a spot to park at the front door. After a stop here, I go by one more block to Calandra’s for fresh bread to go with the tasty deli items!

Great basket/​pot cheese. It goes fast so get there early on a tuesday. Also good mortadella
