Not good at customer service especially the big fat guy at the counter The foods were okay nothing special about this place maybe a good place to have some snack but for dinner and all is just not a good choice.

I went at opening time with my friend so there wasn’t anybody there. Got a good spot on the couches. Décor is very different places around the world. Which made me want to travel, haha. Sat & ordered: Chicken skewers– a bit dry, but the spices saved it. beef skewers– JUICYMEAT! Yum! Loved the flavor. sweet corn– my friend enjoyed her corn! thin tofu skin– had a gummy taste to it. Most interesting food I’ve tried! Fried rice– nothing special! It’s reasonably priced & you get a good amount of meat for the meat skewers. For being the only customers inside the restaurant, my friend & I were pretty much left alone. Overall, a 3.5 experience. Not too sure if I would come back though!

Delicious! I also love that my water cup was always filled I never had to ask. The only thing is if your in a big group your order tends to take super long. We ordered the beef, lamb, fish ball, and rice cake. Beef and lamb are so flavorful it melts in my mouth! The fish ball is filled with fish eggs which was super unexpected and the rice cakes are more of a after dinner sweet treat since it’s covered in sugar. This place is definitely worth a try! I docked one star due to the fact that my sisters group waited forever for their skewers.

Came here a while back. The service was excruciatingly slow and the seating was sort of uncomfortable. The skewers were pretty good and came out relatively fast(surprisingly). We ordered a pineapple soju but we weren’t given the option of weak/strong, and tbh, it wasn’t worth what we paid at all. The skewers were pretty good, as well as the bullet eggs. I wouldn’t really consider coming back unless there’s an improvement in their customer service.

After this place opened, I only eat at this skewer restaurant now. I have gone to all of the skewer restaurants in the Bay Area and this restaurant surpasses all of them in taste, cleanliness and service! I’m sure that after you try AceKing, you will not want to eat at any other restaurant!

Open at 5, we arrived at 6. However! I wait for more than 30min, and the people who came later than me, they got settled first!![ we all have two people!!] And!!! One of their staff came out of, stood next to me, smoking. I really can’t stand that someone smoke close to me.

We went to this restaurant last night, the foods were so tasty, prices were just standard, waiters were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, there is no branch in Walnut Creek area, I have to drive 40 minutes to get there. Hopefully the owner can open another restaurant in Walnut Creek. I will definitely come back when I get my day off!

Why aren’t there more Chinese BBQ places in the Bay Area!!! Especially in the East Bay! We don’t even have one :( I was so excited to try this place! I’ve had it bookmarked for a long time and I finally got to try it tonight! The food? Most skewers were $ 1.50. We ordered the beef, lamb, steam buns, heart, gizzard, potato, pork skin, fish balls, tofu skin, and bullet egg. My favorite was the lamb and steam buns!!! The lamb was cooked perfectly and wasn’t dry at all! The BBQ steamed buns were flavored perfectly and still soft! My least favorite was the heart skewer. It was overcooked and tough. The bullet egg was very smooth. It has green onions and dried shrimp in it. I would have liked to add more pepper to it. Service? Not that great. The guy taking our order said he couldn’t take our order separately. It threw us off so we had to figure out what each person wanted and give him the total number of each skewer. Also, they don’t serve water unless you ask for it. Parking? There’s a parking lot! It is in the same plaza as Tea Station and Bambu. I didn’t get to try the pineapple soju or the soju in test tubes :(I will definitely come back to try those!

Went there and was told the next table was ours in 10 minutes. They gave the table away while we waited outside for literally 2 minutes. They then told us to just leave a phone number and they will call us. At least at the TLT bbq at the end of the same plaza has a clear waiting list. Came here many times when it was dead empty and it was fine then. the food is the same as all the other Chinese bbq places anyways. Go somewhere they will respect you as a costumer I’d be willing to give it another shot or show up only when it is completely empty, but what they did was so rude.

Yummy skewers! Open until past midnight! Great hang out spot for young adults. It’s a small shop though so we had to wait about 40 minutes for a party of 5, around 11pm. Skewers are mostly around $ 1-$ 5. There are usually 4 – 5 pieces on each stick. They really add up so don’t expect to be cheap cheap when you come here ! Try the beef and lamb. They’re delicious and only 1.50 for each skewer. If you’re feeling adventurous and never had«exotic» food, try the chicken heart and pig feet. They were bomb too! Onto the drinks– usually these skewers are best eaten with alcohol. I would say it is best paired with beer! But, we decided to try the soju test tube. They weren’t even strong and arrived much after most of our food did. I think I’ll get beer next time. Also, the seasonings of these skewers are pretty much the same for all types of meat so don’t be expecting different flavors.

First off… let me get my negatives out the way. 1. Bring cash. They only charge with a minimal order of $ 25. 2. Skewers are $ 1.50, but you have to order a minimal of 2 skewers of each meat. Kinda confusing as I wanted to try a few other flavors, but I couldn’t mix and match. So why even offer a skewer for $ 1.50, just say $ 3 for per skewer order. — — — — — — — — Okay, besides that, let’s get down to it. The skewers are delicious!!! Actually, I was surprised by the $ 1.50 for 10 thin tofu slices. which has a distinctive flavoring due to the seasoning… Amazing. I went with beef skewers and it was great. Fresh off the grill and delivered to you!!! Seating is decent, but I do see how this can be a busy if there were big groups coming in.

I’d like to say I had the food or even talked to an employee more than«yes, table for two» however that was all the attention we received. I’m very disappointed in this place for treating us like we were so unwanted. They weren’t even busy. We were the only ones to walk in a request a table. To not be approached for 20 min at a table, at a slow time of the night and 2 workers less than 10 feet away doing nothing of importance(like talking on her phone) is completely disrespectful. The two workers walked passed us multiple times and no eye contact, no attempt to say they’d be with us soon. ZEROSTARSIF I COULD! UTTERLYSURPRISEDTHEYHAVE4STARS! Which is why we picked this place… Needless to say, we got up and left after 20+ min of sitting at a slow restaurant and no service.

Honestly if you don’t look Asian don’t come here. Last time I came here the skewers took over 45 minutes. When I asked the somewhat big guy who seemed to be the waiter what was taking so long since we been waiting for almost 45 minutes. He said it’ll take 10 – 15 minutes more. I timed it and surprisingly 30 minutes later no skewers. I got up and told him I wanted to pay and cancel the skewers because it took so long and we no longer wanted them. The guy refused and quickly said they’re ready, I told him again I wasn’t going to pay for them and if he tried to charge me for them I would not pay for any of my order. And that was it. Left unhappy. Today, I came back with some friends, were seated by some lady near the back of the restaurant and maybe 2 or 3 other groups walked in, were seated and got their orders taken. 15 minutes later still no service or waiter at our table. I had to actually get up, go to the counter and place the order, the same«waiter» if that what the larger guy is called rudely said if you’re gonna cancel don’t order, I just said we only canceled because you lied to us, and gave us rude service. He told the Asian lady something in their language and now she was acting rude. Honestly, first of all don’t lie to me about how fast the food is coming. Second, don’t be rude, remember us customers keep your restaurant in business. Next time I’m just calling in my order because their fried rice has me coming back. Other than that I won’t be dining in any more.

Tonight was my second time dining here, which was very different from my first time. The first time we went really late on a weekday and was the only table in the restaurant. Really good service. Tonight was a packed Saturday night and service was pretty slow, which I can understand because it was packed! I’m giving the four stars because the employees are actually really nice, but are too busy running around taking care of a lot of things. And of course the food is fantastic. We had the AK Dumplings, sliced pork, spicy veggie soup, and a variety of the skewers. Dumplings were ok. There was a chive and egg filling which was a little bland, but the texture of the actual wrapper was good. Sliced pork was my favorite item we had ordered. It came with a vinegar and chili oil sauce and topped with cilantro, sooooo yummy!!! I could eat 3 plates. Spicy veggie soup was super spicy but just the way I like it! They barely gave any noodles, but I believe the ratio was supposed to be much more in the veggies favor. I just wish there was more noodles! Skewers were amazing. The spices they use are different and are addicting! My favorites were the lamb, mushrooms, chicken gizzards, and tripe. But trust me, everything else was delicious as well! I will definitely be back, but maybe on a not so busy night.

Great skewers, great service, great prices($ 1.00-$ 2.50 per skewer, with several pieces per skewer). We came here to eat with a group of 12 and it was awesome and delicious. Amusing atmosphere with lots of decals on the walls and music videos to ponder over/discuss with friends. I’ve had bad skewers before, ones that tasted the same no matter what the meat was, and this place is NOT like that. Their seasoning tastes great and although it’s the same seasoning on a lot of the items, you can definitely taste the meat and veggies through it. Everything was cooked properly(no dry/tough meat) and served promptly. They even continued to take orders as we were eating and wanted more! Here were the popular orders of the night: * Fish Balls — they have surprise roe inside! * A-vegetable — smokey and crunchy veggie that goes great with the meats * Chives — garlickey and delicious * Fried rice — pretty simple with hotdogs and little shrimps but very tasty and slightly spicy * Chicken — moist and well seasoned! * Lamb — so juicy and tasty! * Chicken Skin — not as crispy as I would like but fatty and delicious as it should be. * Fried Steamed Buns — they almost ran out of these and we got the last order. They’re like donuts! * Sliced Steam Buns — these are salty and grilled to be crunchy with the delicous seasoning on it. I LOVE these and could eat them all day. I can’t wait to come back here! It was so good, I think I’ll just default to Aceking whenever I feel like having skewers. :)

Better place than TLT and FTBBQ. Less salt and MSG. I didn’t need to down a cup of eater afterwards. Place was very empty. Loved the bullet egg, pineapple soju, beef, mushroom, a vegetable, and squid.

After getting addicted to Chinese skewers, I was ecstatic to try Aceking. We went on a weekday to avoid a packed house and luckily they were not busy at all. The service was outstanding. The guy was very patient with us and explained everything on their menu. If it’s your first time, guaranteed you will have questions. Some items are very vague one word items. Heart-Shaped = Chicken hearts Tenderloin = Pork tenderloin Winkles = Snail Between the three of us, we ordered: –Home made sauce fried rice: Flavored very well, and tasted amazing. They used a wok and the texture of the rice was perfect. –Bullet Egg: not sure how they were able to make this so perfect but the presentation is nice and the egg had a great balance of sweetness and saltiness(you’ll find a nice surprise at the bottom) –Meat skewers: lamb, beef, sausage, shrimp, gizzards, heart-shaped(chicken heart), –Veggie skewers: lotus root, fried bean curd, cabbage, mushroom –Ball skewers: Home made ball meat/fish, cuttlefish ball, lobster ball, beef tenderloin ball So the balls: one of them had the little eggs inside that pops out when you bite into it. It was freaking good but when we asked one the workers, she seemed to have no idea which one it was and just guessed the name of the item. Also, the cuttlefish and beef tenderloin was very gross. They lacked flavor and had a bad texture. A suggestion is to add on various veggies, specifically greens. The only thing that came close to it was cabbage. The skewers seem to be deep fried as supposed to just grilled but the flavor is great and the quality of the meat is as well. Price is pretty decent, not sure why others said it’s overpriced. I will definitely go back!

Skewers! Comparable to TLT but different marinade, much more saucy and greasy. It also has the numbing spice. Everything is deep fried before coated in the sauce. Be careful to order things like eggplant, cabbage, and other tofu which can act like sponges for the grease. You’ll need to get hot tea to cut the grease or at least some rice to tone everything down. The meat is skewered on as strips whereas TLT offers more meat chunks. It’s still a new business so they’re very accommodating. They’re also out of all the hot, non-skewer items except for the bullet egg(steamed egg in the eggshell). Lots of misspellings on the menu but they’ll explain what each item is if you ask. Fried rice was surprisingly good and tasted like someone’s mom made it. Before we committed to eating there, they gave us a pork skewer to try. In terms of customer service, it’s pretty good but food would be a 3 to me. Décor is all about ace king, as in cards and everything black/white. There are two flat screens too. Their Visa/Mastercard sticker is up on the door but it’s currently cash only.
