New York Mills Regional Cultural Center

Rural Minnesota offers a lot of things: fishing, farming, sports, but most people don’t think of culture. The New York Mills Regional Cultural Center has provided not just culture, but some entertainment as well. The Cultural Center acts as a gallery for artists (both local and from far away), a concert venue, and they host the yearly «Great American Think Off» which is not just a couple of days of philosophical debates, but there is also a parade and street dance that accompany the festivities. I was recently up there, and although I didn’t get to check out the gallery, I was able to listen to the reggae band concert that they hosted.
