Mohair & More

This shop is amazing. I came by this morning for some bamboo blend fiber and yarn. Louise showed me several different fibers, looked up the percentage of the blend, and helped me brainstorm about what would be best for our warm climate. I chose a nice merino bamboo blend ⁶⁰⁄₄₀ for a spring sweater :)
The yarn and fiber selection here is vast. There’s every type of yarn you can imagine including acrylic blends, silk, wool, mohair, and alpaca. Meetings are held here twice a month to knit, spin, crochet, or just shoot the breeze with like minded folks. I will be at the next one.
I also appreciate Louise and Bill being so friendly to my two year old who would rather be anywhere but a yarn store: D I live in Humble and this place is worth the drive.

This shop is delightful! I arrived on a day when the shop was closed, but the owner, Louise, was in, organizing after being at a yarn show. I am from out of town and was in need of some needles. Louise and I had a wonderful talk and she found for me what I needed. The yarns were wonderful and the shop has a very cozy and welcoming feel. For those in nearby Houston or Dallas area, this shop is surely worth the trip! I’ll be back whenever I’m driving from MN to see my grandkids and family in Houston! Not far off of 45.

This is an EXCELLENT yarn and fiber shop. The owners, Louise and Bill are not only fiber knowable but are the nicest people you will meet. The store is well stocked with yarn and also fiber. There are items for the knitters (like me) the weavers, the spinners, the crocheters and lots of fiber and yarn. We have a monthly meeting where we bring delicious food and friendship. If you are having a problem in any of your knitting, spinning, weaving, crocheting, felting or anything else you do with these great fibers, this is the place to bring your questions. Plan on staying awhile cause the welcoming feeling at this shop makes you want to kick off your shoes and stay and visit. I have been to yarn and fiber shops all over the US and the world and clearly Louise and Bill have created a shop very unique. They even brought two baby Angora goats to one of our monthly meetings!!! They were the cutest!!!
Well, you can tell by now I love this place and all the people. I can not thank Louise and Bill enough for giving us such a wonderful fiber and yarn experience. Come join us!!!
