Venetian Bay Golf Club

I played Venetian Bay a couple of weeks ago and found the course in terrible shape, no sand in the traps, but plenty of standing water. The greens had not been mowed or rolled which made putting next to impossible. I will not play there again until the course improves, both Hidden Lakes and the City Course are much better choices.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful place. It is a great place to retire to. The clubhouse food was off of a simple menu. The food consisted of sandwiches, salads but the food was delicious. The wait staff was outstanding.

Very disappointing track. They have a huge bunker drainage problem and the course is just not in good shape. We play courses like this for $ 20, not $ 46-​$ 58.

Nice layout, nice restaurant however… the fairways are greener than the greens. Not just a few of them, all of them! How does this happen to a course of this caliber? Such a shame… for the price they charge this is a disappointment.

Great course I’ve played many rounds here. The course is always well maintained as well as the equipment. The course is wide open but don’t let that fool you it has plenty of sand and water hazards. They keep the course watered and the greens are always groomed and hold. They are very good at keeping play on pace and it’s not usually as crowded as some of the surrounding courses with lower green fees.
They have a wonderful Club House that serves up excellent food as well as a full bar. The service here has always been outstanding starting with the caddies picking you and your club up in the parking lot and after the round they will clean your clubs and bring them back to your car. Not a huge pro shop but well stocked. I love this course it’s very challenging but somewhat forgiving. I highly recommend you try it out.

Nice open fairways and good well maintained greens. Was a little busy the day after Christmas and play was slow that day, but was told by a regular member that was not the normal. All in all, not a bad course. Like most Florida golf courses, you may want to brush up on your sand game.

Just closed on a summer home in Venetian Bay and went to celebrate at the Golf Club restaurant. Jillian was attentive and offered excellent service. Food was outstanding and we enjoyed our lunch. The next time I walked into the Golf Club bar, I was greeted by Jillian who remembered what I liked to drink and what I had for lunch previously. Amazing… can’t wait to go back!
