There’s not much to see inside, there are only a few animals, and subpar customer service. The bird sanctuary is free though! Didn’t try the trail.

Really great sunset boat tour! Saw a TON of Dolphins and really cool birds. Fun for the whole family. We went in the summer, I would suggest going in the fall or winter when Manatees are out!

Had a great boat tour with friendly captain and guide. Saw dozens of dolphins and birds and learned much about the area. There were two very young children(under 4) who were too young for a 2 hour tour. Older kids would probably love it. Well worth the money.

My cousin flew in from Kentucky for a few days, so we decided to take one of their boat tours. I thought the price per person was a bit steep, but then I found out this is a non-profit organization that promotes the preservation of, and education about, the area we were touring, so I didn’t mind. We took the 4:15 — 6:15 tour, and we enjoyed it a great deal. We saw a TON of dolphins! They came really close to the boat. We also got to see a large number of birds as they came into the small islands nearby to settle in for the night. My only complaint was that our guide’s prominent interest was clearly plant life, when most of us were more keen to learn about birds and mammals. Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend it.

First thing to remember regarding kayak tours. Bad weather can cancel your trip, so make reservations early in your trip in case you have to postpone a day or two. They had called me to cancel the tour but I was already on my way so I stopped by. Warren and Lisa were going out anyway, not on the normal tour but just around the mangroves, so they invited me along. That was pretty cool and we saw lots of birds. I went back a couple days later on the actual tour which was just me and Warren. Warren is very knowledgeable about the area and he shared a lot of information. We went by the two bird rookeries in the channel and had a good paddle. If you haven’t paddled around the mangroves this is a good way to do it because it’s like a huge maze in there, easy to get lost if you don’t know your way or have GPS. The tides can also be a danger because you don’t want to get back in there and have the tide go out, which could strand you on the sharp oyster beds.

Went to the 2 pm tour and it was a very slow day for wildlife. It was 2 hours of listening to our guide talk about the ecosystem. The guide was well informed, but the talking and extremely slow boat ride and the lack of interesting sites made it fairly boring. We saw 2 dolphin fins from afar, some shore birds, more than enough mangroves, and some little hermit crabs scurrying along the shore(the highlight of the trip). Wish we wouldn’t have rushed from the Marine Science Center in Ponce Inlet for this extremely slow, uneventful tour. The stars are because the staff in the center and on the tour were friendly.
