Good Subway. There are 3 Subway locations in a little over a mile of each other — this one would be the better choice over at least the North Avenue(between Main and Huguenot). I know Subway is generally Subway, but if you’ve been to the North Avenue location, you’ll understand what I mean by there clearly being a difference in both quality and service. This location is much better and worth the extra 8th of a mile. Typical Subway — meaning it’s NOT a deli, just fast food hero sandwiches and some extras. I have to mention that since there are some who think Subway is like a deli sandwich, when it is clearly not. There are times I’ll want a Subway sub, so if in the area, I’ll come here. I don’t come to Subway for breakfast, so this review is for the normal Subway sub past 11am. As mentioned, it’s Typical subway — they have all the breads, condiments, extras that most Subways have. They make the sandwich they way you specify and you can see through the glass as they do it. They’re always fast in here and clean. Like all Subways, they have that poor design of the customer area being confining between the glass and the wall. I don’t know who in Subway thought that this design works, because it’s terrible. So basically during a rush, you’re on top of other customers waiting for either your turn or while your sandwich is being made trying not to crush the bags of chips in front of you. I’ve been there on more than one occasion where people either don’t want to wait 5 minutes or don’t want to dry hump the other customers against the wall and they end up leaving. I can’t say I blame them much during the hot summer months where not everyone bathes — really, it’s a little too close to have to be forced to stand next to people. It’s not this Subway’s fault or any other for this design — just the Subway corporation in general. If you know Subway, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. They have a small area to eat in if you want. It’s usually clean. The fountain drink area is pretty clean at times. They are generally friendly in here. Located in a small strip of stores, the parking lot is poor and terribly designed. Not Subway’s fault, but if it’s a rush you’re better parking in the street and paying the meter or on a side street and walking a block. So if you’re a fan of Subway and are in the area, this location you should check out.
