Dragon Garden Chinese Rest

The food is good here. I have tried a few takeout spots and usually they are not great. This place so far is the best. When i order the chicken with broccoli, there is no extra random items like bamboo shoots or carrots, and the broccoli has been fresh and crunchy 9 out of the last 10 times I have ordered.
Delivery is fast and they will delivery any amount.
THAT SAID, they often have someone answering the phones who is not listening. I often have to repeat myself (they ask for the apartment number, i give it, then they ask if it is a house or apartment so i say it is an apartment, and they ask for the number again.)
they also will more often than not call back, and repeat the order incorrectly — and I have learned that when they do this, repeat the entire order all over again or else they will delivery only part of the order.
their menu prices are also incorrect — they charge more and it’s more than the menu price plus tax.
OK moving on — the food is worth it when you consider it is chinese take out.
EDIT: the food is still consistently good. But if the delivery guy doesn’t feel you have tipped him enough, he WILL say something about it to you.

It’s cheap takeout so expectations are low,
But Dragon Garden has got to go.
Been several times and the food is bland,
But they messed up our order today, understand,
They fixed it of course but it took forever,
And their attitude – jerk-​ish – could have been better.
I also want to shame them for using their young son
To answer the phone, that can’t be legal (or fun).
The idea of Chinese food they do debase.
Seriously? Seriously. F*** this place.

I have ordered food here several times, it is an average American chinese spot. HOWEVER, they have started to let their rude child answer the phone and take orders. He gets orders wrong, he tries to cut you off on the phone and just doesn’t listen. Example: «hi, I’d like to place an order for delivery», «yeah what you want… pick up or delivery». He’s gotten my order wrong twice, the older child and mother were apologetic. But the fact that this kid has become the face of the restaurant leads me to give them 2 stars. There are better chinese spots in new rochelle, that are welcoming and appreciative of your patronage.

This restaurant sucks! If I could give no stars I would! I ordered the boneless spare ribs that were barely cooked. The chicken wings had hair on them and the general tso’s chicken was like the chicken was cut very small and double dipped in batter. Don’t order from this restaurant there are many others in the area that are way better!

Poor quality food. Vegetable heavy meat dishes (translation you order beef with broccoli and you get broccoli with a couple of pieces of beef). Undercooked dumplings — what self respecting Chinese restaurant does THAT?! And to top it all off … rude service. Deleting their number out of my phone, never to return.

After waiting over an hour for our food it arrived cold and bland. Undercooked the chicken with broccoli. Disgusting. Rude and dumb. Never ordering again. Be aware.

Pretty much this place undercooks their General Tsao’s chicken !!! I mean is that even possible? I literally tasted it and was like wait a minute WHAT IN THE SAN-​HELL IS GOING ON HERE. I had to get them to re-​make the order. I just couldn’t believe it and if you take one of their current menu’s and you compare it to a lot of other places in New Rochelle they are at least $ 2 to $ 4 dollars more expensive than most of their competitors. I think the only good think about this location is really that they deliver other than that mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

Favorite Chinese around. The lunch specials are super cheap, the people there are always nice, the portions are greatly sized especially for lunch, wonton soup is a fave, and they make the food very quickly. Winner!!! Also, a slightly higher priced singapore mei fun is yummy (and you can make 2 meals out of it).

THEY HAVE CHINESE DONUTS HERE. I love Chinese donuts, they are like zeppoles but the sugar they use isn’t powder sugar, it’s pure cane sugar. They are not messing around here! Not many places sell chinese donuts so I’m super excited this place has them.
Okay, so obviously I ordered more than Chinese donuts. I had their Mei Fun and Steamed Chicken and Broccoli with Sauce on the side. Yeah, I felt like I should *TRY* to be healthy on at least one of the things I ordered.
The Mei Fun was good and not greasy. The steamed Chicken and Broccoli was… well what you would expect, very steamed.
I would come back here often, and I have. You need to reach $ 15 in order to use your credit card, but it’s $ 10 min for delivery if you are using cash.
