Bark at the Moon

I’ve seen many reviews about having dogs groomed here. I can add nothing new other than I will never bring my 13-​year old labrador anywhere else. Being such an old lady comes with lots of aches and pains and grumpiness which is only exaggerated by my spoiling her. Grooming, however, is just a small part of the business. The products that Palma has recommended have kept us away from the narcotic pain relievers that my vet suggested we try next. Not only is she knowledgeable about so many things («that’s not just arthritis, it’s neurological» when I had yet to tell her about my dog’s mini-​stroke), but her love for dogs is so apparent I would trust her with my life (and by «life» I mean my pooch) :D

Was disappointed they closed and never called when I had an appointment. Not a way to treat loyal customers

I took my dog there only once. After that never again. She was very rude.
When I came back to pick up my dog, at the time she told me she’d be done, I saw that she was putting my dog back in the cage in the back, then came to talk to me in the front & said it wasn’t done yet, that she would call. She seemed nervous.
I thought it wouldn’t take much longer because all his hair was cut if anything maybe she needed to cut his nails & small stuff I assumed. But 2 hours went by & she still hadn’t called so I called her, she said «oh yeah he’s all done» then I got there & picked him up. Then on the way home I noticed he wouldn’t stop licking his paw for a while then I saw a big chunk of skin missing from the bottom of his paw. It was impossible for her not to have noticed what she did given that he wouldn’t stop licking his paw on the way home. He was bleeding, I’m sure he must’ve cried when she did that. After I noticed the cut, I realized that’s probably why she failed to call & let me know when she was done, instead she kept him for 2 extra hours.
I understand accidents happen but my poor puppy was walking around with pain and licking his paw nonstop because she failed to mention what she had done. If she had at least told me, I could’ve taken the proper care right away. But she did not mention it & instead was very rude saying how my dogs coat wasn’t shiny & such just to distract me from the fact she had cut him. He could’ve even gotten an infection or something more serious if I hadn’t noticed the cut, thanks to her.

Boutique pet store with wonderful customer service. Have 2 dogs with numerous allergies and staff has been very hellpful in looking for foods that would work. Also the free nail trimming service is great.

The lady owner has a strong personality, I suppose that’s a polite way of putting it. She drilled me on what I feed my dog, I guess Blue wasn’t a good enough answer since she turned her nose up at it (said «mehhh its ok») then suggested some outrageously priced organic/​all-​natural/​whatever brands that she carries. All while educating me on pet nutrition lol. She needs to chill with that, major turn off to the customer with those condescending/​pushy sales tactics.
Nonetheless I like supporting local mom-​and-​pop businesses, so I paid for a way overpriced groom and even asked if she could special order something (since that’s her niche market)…but I never heard back from her.
Ok soooooo, I won’t be back. I do wish you luck in New Providence though, it’s a cute store.

My husband and I have been loyal customers since the shop opened. The husband-​wife owners are incredibly nice, helpful and their love for dogs is quite evident. They offer excellent pricing on their wide range of quality dog food, even beating the price of Amazon or
and they will even load it in your car for you.
They also offer a variety of toys, chews, bones, etc. also at excellent quality and pricing. They offer free nail clippings, grooming services and free samples of dog food. I proudly support this local business and I am happy to have such a lovely shop in our town!
