Wells Fargo has long been known for mediocre customer service at the branch level, but this particular branch wins the booby prize! I went in recently to transfer funds from account A to family member account B. The Teller seemed too confused and looked up to me like a deer caught in the headlights. She seized on a fellow who must have been something like a Head Teller. This guy apparently had a fight with his husband that morning, and was even less helpful. Then I was pawned off on some female Lobby Troll who was still more useless. The Lobby Troll indicated that I could close my account if I liked, and«good luck finding a bank who could accommodate my needs». It only took the next business day and four calls to find three banks who could easily accommodate my needs. It seems I didn’t need any luck at all… Instead of closing the account, it makes better sense to leave virtually nothing in this account, give them their«10 swipes a month»(all for very small purchases), and let them perpetually lose money on the account… WAYTOGO, WELLSFARGO!
