Excellent! After reading the other reviews on Unilocal we decided to try this restaurant since it’s just down the street from where we live. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but it’s quite nice inside. The waitress was very nice and helped us with some good suggestions as it was our first time there. We started with the soup. The coconut soup and the lemongrass soup was delicious. We then had a sushi roll(I think it was called ‘The sexy… something’.) Huge roll and very tasty. For the main courses we shared the Cashew Nuts with chicken and the Drunken Fried Rice combo… both very delicious and plentiful. We will definitely be back as there’s a lot of good stuff to still try.

This was one of the most overpriced disappointing meals we have ever had. The chicken was chewy and the overall food quality was poor. We placed a to go order and got every meal we ordered incorrectly. We will never way there again!!!

Couldn’t wait for this place to open, as we have gone to their Trinity location on a fairly regular basis. It did not disappoint!!! The sushi was fantastic! You won’t find better sushi anywhere in the Tampa Bay Area! So glad they finally opened! !

Best date night food! Try their coconut soup you will crave it once you have it. Get there early on Friday night they fill up quickly and for good reason they are good! Sushi is amazing! LollyPop, Sexy Man, and Rainbow roll are some of the best! Also save room for the coconut ice cream and fried banana won-tons holy cow!!!

Great Thai and sushi. We are fans of the Screaming O roll. The crab rangoons have an interesting Thai twist to them. Great service.

We decided to give this place a try for a nice Saturday afternoon lunch. It was all amazing, there is no other way to say it! Our waitress took our order for an appetizer and brought out two bowls of the soup of the day and two fried dumplings. THEN our appetizer! So much food before our meal even came out! The soup, not sure of the name, tasted like a garlic chicken broth with spinach in it. I wanted more! The spring rolls come with a sweet/spicy dipping sauce. It was all cooked to perfection. The spicy cashew chicken meal was delicious. 10⁄10 I’ll be back for the food!

Food is delicious! I had a Sexy Woman roll with tempura shrimp, raw tuna, and a bunch of other goodies. The wasabi was delicious, which I don’t say often. It’s that sort of attention to detail that makes this place shine. My wife had a Pad Kee Mao, with a little bit of spice. If you like basil, you’ll love this dish. The Thai Iced Tea is also as good as it gets. I’ve had just as good elsewhere but not better.

I’ve been here a few times and they never disappoint. Standard Thai cuisine, pleasant staff and environment. A few of my friends rave about their sushi!

I am judging my review based on one dish. Thai savants will know. PADTHAI! Chicken quality is good, pure white meat. Bean sprouts are fresh, they are not wilt. The flavor is not robust; it is very subtle and has a nice kick if you order it spicy. The Thai tea is what a Thai tea should taste like. I recommend this dish if your new to the restaurant. You can judge a Thai places food quality just by their Pad Thai dish. If I had a scale rating; it would be 9 out of 10. I definitely recommend this place.

I’ve had my second visit here now, this time trying their Japanese side of the menu. It was excellent as well, so I happily update my review to 5 stars. The sushi was great! This Thai/Japanese fusion joint really delivers on both fronts. For those in Pinellas? It reminds me a lot of «Osaka,» but may be even a little bit better? Anyway, I’m a big fan. Any time I happen to visit my friend in NPR, I will always be very thankful that Thai Samurai is nearby!

There is really little reason for me to speak poorly of Thai Samurai. The setting is attractive, the servers are cordial, the prices are reasonable, etc. The problem is that there is little reason to speak highly of them either. I tried the Green Curry Lunch Special w/Chicken($ 7.95). I asked for it «Thai hot». I can’t say a single thing bad about it. I just can’t say anything particularly good about it either. It was just okay, and it surely wasn’t «Thai hot». Another minor disappoint was the condiment service — there was none. It’s been quite a while since I ate in a Thai restaurant where they didn’t bring out a caddy of spices and sauces to custom tailor your meal. Not here. Even in the barren gastronomical wasteland that is New Port Richey, there are more than a few better choices to stop in at lunch. I guess I will visit one of them next time I am out for lunch…

Finally baby! I have been looking for good Thai all over the area and have been disappointed. I moved here a few weeks ago from Atlanta and was used to great Thai so my expectations have been high. They offered a lunch special with free soup and an appitizer of their choice. They wouldnt let me substitute the soup so I ordered it anyway. While it was a bit heavy with onions, their coconut chicken soup was excellent. I picked ¾ of the onions out which made it to my liking. The Panang Curry Chicken was orgasmic! Can you tell I liked it? The sauce was creamy, not watery like some of the other places in town. Also, they have Massaman Curry on the menu which has been difficult for me to find at other Thai restaurant s around town. I don’t know why because it’s a standard Thai dish. The service was excellent too. If you’re looking for good Thai, this is it. The food is fresh and full of flavor. I can’t wait to come back.

The husbeastie and I were looking for a new place to dine, so I drove us out to Thai Samurai. Why? Because we’d never been… Entering, we were greeted with mouth watering scents! The place looks visually appealing and smelled great, so we couldn’t wait to taste our food! When we eat Thai, my husband –always, without fail — asks for Thai Hot. Generally, the waitress looks at him and nods, but when he gets his food back, it’s not that hot. So we expressed to the waitress that the Thom Ka soup should be –extra super spicy hot– That Thai Hot was OK. I explained that I order Ghost Peppers for my husband to snack on. She looked a little afraid but when the soup was brought out for him. it was indeed –SOUPERSPICY!- It was the first time that he can remember the soup being actually thai hot. The rest of the food was just as well done. His spicy dishes were spicy. My mild dishes were perfectly mild and just as tasty as I’d hoped they would be. We will be back!
