I tried several classes to see if this would be a good fit for me. I’m a novice(took classes years ago) so I’m just trying to get my toes wet. The Yoga Spa is a good class for gentle stretching and relaxation and I love that aromatherapy is included. «Warm Vitality Flow» is described on their site as a class«for all levels with some experience», but I would read that as «for students with many years of yoga experience» because a less experienced person(like me) would not be able to do or hold the poses in this class. The«Warm Slow Flow» was better,(all levels from beginners to advanced) but again, I think you need to have had some experience beforehand to take this class. With that being said, working out in the heat IS rejuvenating! The Beginners Yoga Class(not heated) also required previous experience since there wasn’t much in the way of teaching the correct posture ie. where and how to place feet, how far apart they should be, etc. and you were pretty much left to figure out and just copy, to the best of your abilities, what those around you were doing. I’ve never taken a hot yoga class(bikram), but practicing yoga in 85 – 90 degree heat is challenging and I would recommend checking with your doctor if you have any heart or respiratory issues before attending any warm classes. The facility is clean, staff are friendly, website is easy to use to sign up for classes, so I would say that this is a nice addition to the numerous yoga studios in New Paltz.
