YOU CAN DO IT. I have to say this was very different then I expected. It was great. Make sure to wear hiking shoes, I have a cheap pair and they were fine. I would not attempt this if you are out of shape or very large, YOU MIGHT GET STUCK. There is s bailout zone a few minutes in so take it if you need it.
Great views. A bit hairy at spots, but if you are athletic like me LOL, you will be fine. JUST DO IT.
BTW. I went with my wife. It took us an hour to do, without her it would be a half hour.
PS — don’t bring a large bag or big camera.

Great hike! It took us about 40 minutes to the top, as estimated by the sign. Some of the areas are very tight. Skip the packs, or use a small one. We completed it with two adults and two kids aged 9 and 7, and saw a 3 ½ year old do it with a little assistance. Will do it again. The area (mountain house) and views are beautiful. Worth the family price we paid — $ 70 — for 2 adults and 2 kids. hiked around various trails for about 3 ½ hours. The labyrinth was the best one though.

Good intense hike. You got crazy rock labyrinth, claustrophobia-​defying climb up a deep crevice, and Sky Top Tower to top it off. What else to ask for. It is just amazing.

At Mohunk Mountain House. Long hike, good climb for newbies. A little tight up the ladder, and working through the rocks at the beginning (near the lake), but the view at the end is well worth the effort!

Loved this hike near New Paltz near the Mohonk Reserve. I read the other review by Ben T, and we definitely did the same climb, but there are multiple trails, and we took a shorter one back to the Mohonk Mountain House, and all had a terrific massage afterwards at the spa! What a great day!

So, picture someone squeezing a lemon-​now substitute yourself for the lemon and picture a steep jagged cliff edge with a ladder leading to the top of a narrow passage-​there you have it!
My friend Alida invited me to go with her and her boyfriend to climb through ‘The Lemon Squeeze’ in New Paltz, NY near the Mohonk Reserve. We had a wonderful time, but I’m glad we all made it through the tiny little rocky passageway, its namesake.
We rented a car and Alida’s boyfriend drove us up to New Paltz from Manhattan which took about 2 hours. We hung out in New Paltz the night before touring the hippy cafes and Alida’s friends’ homes and had so much fun I was worried we would not wake up in time to climb the mountain!
The climb took about 5 hours (total) and culminated in a passage through a deep crevice and up a diagonal ladder through a narrow opening on a rocky ledge exposing a beautiful panorama of a mountain range to be determined. (Does anyone know what this mountain range is called?)
I would go back and do this again for sure!
