My husband and I love El Jaripeo! We were so glad to see a another little restaurant in New Pal! The restaurant is small but were usually able to get a table quickly and the food is served fast! The service is great. I usually get something different every time and never have a complaint. We will definitely be returning here!

Eeehhh. I’ve been a few times. I never said wow this is really good. I’ve always said«It was OK». And I’ve tried something different every time. Two people with tip is normally about $ 25 and that’s without alcohol. Just soft drinks. That’s a bit high for«OK». Between Taco Bell and this place, Taco Bell beats them by a mile at a fraction of the price.

Horrible horrible horrible. Please save yourself the trip. This place used to be good but new people have ruined it.

Having eaten at this location a few times, I would not recommend it. There are some good things about this location of El Jaripeo, but I give it two stars as compared to other nearby competition. If you don’t mind driving to East Washington near Mitthoeffer Rd., I would recommend Guadalajara Grill instead, any day. What I like about this spot — some of the booths inside can give you a cozy, homey feel with your family and friends. If you’re on a date, I would not recommend this cramped spot, however. The food is authentic Mexican — not overly spicy and they have a full menu with lots of variety as well as drinks. The service is quick, as another reviewer stated. What I don’t like — I think the price is 15−20% higher for our family of five to eat here than at other Mexican places. The entrees are especially salty for my tastes. It can get kind of noisy and crowded during dinner time. I don’t feel like the place is overly clean. If you have a hankering for Mexican food, and this location is convenient for you and you aren’t picky, then this is your place. If you have a more discriminating taste when it comes to Mexican food, then drive further toward Indy.
